Skills I Want to Learn: Organic Practices, Permaculture/Biodynamics, Biodynamics practices and techniques
Since I didn't get to do it during my stay in NZ, my goal have at least one Woofing experience. Since my first stay was absolutely beautiful I look forward to even more experiencing Australian life and culture. At home my flatmates and I started growing our own vegetables in our garden which turned out to be kind of a success. I really hope to improve my skills and take them home with me so I can enjoy my self grown vegetables in the future even more. In terms of animals: My grandparents always had dogs, my parents never wanted to get us one:( so my experience with pets and animals is rather limited. However, I am a big fan of animals and therefore very interested in spending time with them.

We are eager to join the WWOOF community as part of our journey to complete our 88 days of regional work required for our second-year visa. We have a keen interest in deepening our understanding of organic and biodynamic farming by learning from experienced practitioners in these fields. Additionally, we are excited to share our positive energy and enthusiasm with like-minded individuals who are passionate about organic farming.

I feel happiest outside, and most productive moving around and physically doing something. It helps to ground me and free my creative flow when i get stuck in tunnel vision. I also would like to do something that I feel contributes to others and to the land. I love learning and feel that life-skills and survival skills are one of the most valuable things to learn and to share with others.

We want to meet new people meet the locals and make new experiences. We´d like to learn more about the country we are travelling, and the people living there, and also we like to travel on a budget. I like to work with animals and plants just as much (especially trees, because of my occupation).

There are three main reasons why I decided to join. The first reason is that I want to feel nature. I want to labor in nature and feel the joy of living with nature. And I want to be healed by nature, such as animals and plants. The second reason is that I want to experience permaculture and organic farming. I want to know how to farm in an earth-friendly way. And in the future, I want to build a small farm in my yard and raise livestock. I also want to care for the earth on a daily basis. The third reason is that I want to meet people through labor and communal living. I want to meet people and encounter many values. I also want to discover a new me. And I want to broaden my horizons. There are the reasons why I want to join in WWOOF’s activities.

I arrived in Australia on a Work Holiday Visa, on July 18th 2023. Since I arrived I've worked as a pizza chef / kitchen hand at Boddington Hotel. My responsibilities include preparations, pizzas, salads, delivery at tables, customer interaction, cleanup and overall help in the kitchen. I then worked as a Wwoofer on an organic farm for 4 months, renewing my visa for a second year. Ideally my next backpacker job in Australia would qualify for my 3rd year visa -- as long as we're both happy with me staying that long (or longer) 🙂, but I would be willing to delay that for an opportunity to work with animals. Of course, it would be ideal to be able to do both at the same time! If you are willing to teach me, I am here to learn; I will bring my positive can-do attitude and my easygoing upbeat nature.

I have done a second woofing during spring and 2 weeks in south of France. By then, I was in a groupe of farmer very lovely in the middle of the mountain. I am interested in local Aussie life, living in nature, such as organic farming and dairy farming. I would like to use this as an opportunity to meet people in a new environment and try new things, thereby expanding my own values and perspective.

I friend of mine introduced me to wwoof and told me about her experience, which got me really inspired myself! I’ve always been drawn to gardening and growing things, working with my hands and being outdoors is something I really appreciate. I’m hoping this could be an opportunity for me to develop my experience and gain very useful and valuable knowledge. I love learning! Besides this is it also a good timing in my travels, I’m thinking it could be very nice with a little break at the moment and just be able to stay in the same place for a a week or two. I’m very flexible with the dates and duration 🙂

We joined WWOOF as an affordable and enriching way to travel around Australia. We are passionate environmentalists and one day wish to have our own property where we can enact sustainable farming practices. We thought this would be an amazing opportunity to learn from passionate people who are actively living this lifestyle.

When we finish our travels we are hoping to establish our own property including gardens and hopefully wild spaces, perhaps also a business from home, and we want to learn all we can about everything. Ella and Zac also love living close to others (adults and children and especially animals) and love the outdoors. They already have some skills with gardening and they just love it – even weeding. We would love to spend some time on other people’s properties and farms to share our experience and learn all we can from you as well.

Today I am almost 24 years old I benefit from a well-paid permanent contract which allows me to lead a comfortable life. However I want to get out of my comfort zone by traveling and working at the same time time what's more ? I imagine being confronted with new situations pushing myself to develop other skills and adapt to different environments. I imagine meeting people from various backgrounds and backgrounds I feel the need for change and adventure escape from the daily routine. Participate in farm projects perhaps on a personally rewarding level I imagine through his experiences to see how to speak English gain confidence and autonomy, but above all I want to meet inspiring people to discover new ways of living and to make even a small contribution to sustainable projects
