I would like to live with a family, improve my language and get to know life next to backpackers. I think it's a great offer to create an offer in addition to the normal "work and travel", also for older people

Skills I Want to Learn:
My general motivation is learning. I would like to get to know different cultures, lifestyles, attitudes and also the skills to run a garden because this is my ultimate dream in life. I like to spend time outside in nature, take care of animals, or just sit in the grass and enjoy bird songs, and all of that combined is the reason why I choose to woof.

I have been volunteering in Queensland for the past month and a half, and I don't want my time to end. I will still have an entire month left on my visa by the time I am able to start with WWOOF, and I want to take advantage of my time here by learning something, meeting new people, and doing something that can create positive change. Being a recent college graduate, exploring and staying in Australia wouldnā€™t really be possible without programs like this. It's my long term goal to continue on to graduate school, but before I do that, I want to take full advantage of my time and of my youth to fully explore this country in an unconventional and fulfilling way.

WWOOF presented an extraordinary opportunity to immerse myself in a different way of life, gain hands-on experience in agriculture, and explore the stunning landscapes of Australia. I really want to explore the country and its people, this seemed the best way to do this! The prospect of working alongside passionate hosts and fellow WWOOFers, sharing stories and knowledge, greatly appealed to me. In essence, I joined WWOOF to make the most of my time in Australia. I want to give my summer purpose and make the most of being on this side of the world. There seemed to be no better way than to explore the country over a long period of free time than with WWOOfing.

I like to learn more about nature, life and people in Australia. Also I want to support, be out in nature and "work with my hands" (as contrast to my normal job environment)

I joined WWOOF through American Institute of Foreign Studies (AIFS) and am interested in learning about life on Australian Organic & Permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically.

I would love to meet and learn from people who are growing their own food, raising animals and living on the land. I am interested in agroecology and community sufficiencyƧ

While working for a large corporation in an industrial area of Canberra, I noticed a large, bare patch of ground that seemed to be going to waste. I approached management about the possibility of setting up of a staff garden, providing them with the benefits this would bring, including on-site composting, team-building, staff morale, and growing produce. I worked with professionals to plan and set up the garden with vegetable beds, compost bins and a central shaded/sheltered area for group meetings, along with indoor compost bins for every kitchen. I set up a working group, organised education sessions with various experts, learned about companion planting, planned working bees, rosters, harvest days, and lunches using produce we'd grown. This was such a rewarding project, and I loved learning from other people, being productive and spending time outdoors being active.

I would like to use the gap in between jobs and take the opportunity to volunteer and also learn something from organic farms. My current job is in pharma industry in a medium sized corporation. I started this job right after college and I feel that I need a change of scenery as the corporate culture is not something I currently align with. I believe that WWOOF can help me broaden my perspective on work and life in general as well as help me get in touch with more nature in my life :).

I joined because WWOOFing has been recommended by my mum who has done this 30 odd years ago. She told me it was a great way to meet new people and experience new things which I am all for! By joining I hope to open up a new alleyway to different experiences which I might not usually have the opportunity to back home. I also see it as a great way to learn new skills and a different way of life as a whole.

To discover new cultures, learn about life outside France and enrich our experience. Talk to local people and show off our French know-how. Get out of the city and experience real Australian life

I personally really like farming, but I'm not the best at it, so I'm hoping to learn some new skills (not just about farming). I see this as a really good opportunity to travel around Australia and meet new people and locals.

I have heard of wwoofing many years ago and have been interested since then but this is the first time I've joined. I joined as I finally have the opportunity to wwoof as I have the time and money and enthusiasm. I am excited to meet people, do physical work, be in nature and learn lots of me skills and information.

I want to travel to Australia soon to gain more experience of a different culture and wildlife. Whenever I've travelled to countries in the past I've often been in a small group environment within a rural setting. I love the outdoors and strive to live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. I think WWOOFing will open up lots of new experiences and chances to learn, whilst following a similar trend to my experiences that I've had previously in other countries. I also believe that it will provide many good opportunities to meet people with a similar mindset as me, and to make good friends! I have seen and heard lots of good things about WWOOFing and I would like to try it myself. I am hoping to find a WWOOFing experience where I can be in touch with nature, and learn from my hosts about Australia, farming and more. This will hopefully give me lots of useful skills that I can carry with me throughout my career and future lifestyle.

Over the past three years, my focus has been on studying wine in Japan. While pursuing my studies, I aimed not only to understand the academic aspects but also to know the minds of the creators. I want to understand their passion, philosophies, and unique styles. I had the chance to stay at some wineries last year. Gaining experience with a different climate, environment, and team from last year is very exciting to me and I am looking forward to continuing my winemaking journey.

I am in the process of renewing my visa and I would like to use my 88 days to do something beneficial for the country. Bushfires are on a significant increase and this is bad for the country surrounded by so much nature, just like my home country, and so I would like to use these days that I need to do to help.
