I have joined WWOOF for many reasons, here are some - - To help out and learn how to collaborate with producers of high quality, natural, sustainable products and services. To learn more about the culture of Australia and its regions. - To explore our country with purpose, continue my learning on the ground, continue with learning about my great great grandfather (Commissioner of the Pastoral Society in the late 1800s in South Australia. He was also a member of parliamentarians who wrote our constitution and a published poet of which I have two of his books, one being him leading a trek up to the MacDonald Ranges in the NT.) - To learn more about organic farming and other sustainable practices. My passion is bringing TCIM with Workplace Health and Safety, and Environment. When I return to Uni, I plan to continue a Research Plan course I had started before having to move out from a mould rental, for the current and future impact of TCIM in the Workplace. - To be able to keep my two buddies, Blackie (8yo Kelpie) and Brownie (6yo Kelpie x Rottweiller, Blackie's son) with me on our adventure of life (I am hoping I can find places to enable that). - My son is in year 12 in 2025 at Sunshine Coast Grammar. I have lived on the Sunshine Coast since 2006, and whilst I was born in Sydney and could return their with family and friends network, I want to travel, but I still want to be relatively close to him and attend important events. I am a doer, and very keen to work alongside property owners to achieve their goals. - Being a WWOOFer in Australia will benefit the planned undergraduate and business trip I have to India once my son has completed high school. I will also be more knowledgeable to visit the International Research Centre for TCIM in Gujarat (set up in 2023).

A while ago I met a lovely Australian lady who told me if I really want to get to know Australia the best way to do it is to get out to the farms. I would love to help out and get to know Australian culture a bit better and gain some experience. Furthermore I am looking to do my 88 days work to apply for a second year visa, so I am trying to get more experience to be a better help.

We recently got married and decided to pause our lives in Edinburgh to gain some practical farm experience in Australia. We are both hoping to pick up some skills that may make us more employable within the agricultural industry but also with a view to having our own smallholding somewhere, at some point. We’re particularly interested in gaining experience in cattle station work, livestock, viticulture, forestry/silviculture, fencing, and machinery/tractor operation…but we’ll get stuck into any jobs which need doing.

We joined WWOOF because we want to explore what it is to produce food we eat everyday. By doing so in Australia, we can also gain cultural and language experience. We don't have any firming experience so we'd like to take this opportunity to explore and have more understanding. I'm hoping WWOOFing will be a great eye opening experience for my daughter.

I’m signing up for WWOOF because I have a deep love for nature and I see this as an opportunity to expand my knowledge in sustainable farming and environmental care. I’ve always felt a strong connection to the outdoors, and I believe that working hands-on with the land is one of the best ways to truly understand how to protect and nurture it. WWOOF offers the chance to learn from experienced farmers and individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the environment. I’m eager to broaden my understanding of farming practices that promote sustainability and contribute to a healthier planet. I also look forward to connecting with like-minded people and continuing to grow in my knowledge and appreciation of nature.

I'm hoping to gain more experience on farms/small holdings to learn more about sustainable agriculture and different techniques used. I'm also in-between jobs and not one to sit ideally by and would much rather be helping out with a garden somewhere I'd also like to meet some more like minded people

I love agriculture, especially dairy farming, and I plan to make dairy farming my career in the future. I have studied dairy farming in Japan by going to various farms for training. When I was a high school student, I studied dairy farming in New Zealand and enjoyed the differences from Japan. I also like to study foreign languages, so I always wanted to study in a foreign country again. I knew about WWoof because there was a foreigner who came to the dairy farm where I worked part-time using the WWoof system. If there is a dairy farm that is involved in pasture-based farming, organic farming, or animal welfare, I would like to go there. I would like to start my own grazing dairy farm in the future, so I would like to learn more about setting up a new dairy farm, dairy management, pasture management, etc. in Australia. I would like to experience Australian agriculture and international cultural exchange with my host family and other WWoofer in WWoof.

I joined because I would like to experience life on a farm in a different environment. I like meeting new people ,I feel fit enough to be of assistance as a volunteer and I feel I can contribute and share my knowledge and learn how other people do things on their farms. It will be something different that I can do now that I am retired.

I want to learn about ecology. I am convinced, that humans should be working towards sustainability and being more resourceful and less consuming. I prefer to live in smaller communities, where you are able to become familiar with everyone. In my eyes WWOOF is providing with great opportunities with my endeavours.

Since school I have tried various things. I've studied philosophy and musics for a couple of months. At the start of the year I've worked on a small permaculture farm in the north of Germany for 2 months. In the summer I sold local strawberries and also grown my own at home. At home I like to cook or go for a walk in the forest right out my door, I have a small knowledge on edible wild plants too! I'm still getting to know myself but I found being outside in the sun and working with my hands having nature all around me is what makes me happy.

WWOOF is my opportunity to start with working, because it is not that easy to find work in Sydney without work experience. WWOOF offers a very good selection of different farms from animals to vegetables and fruits. A couple of friends worked on WWOOF certified farms and told me about there great experiences. And that is why I joined WWOOF and hope that I can help on the farms as good as I can.

Bibbaringa is a 1000 ha beef cattle property north of Albury Southern NSW. Australia. It is a regenerative farm and the cattle are run in one mob and moved every 1 to 3 days. The granite soils on the hills and loam granite soild in the lower country. Have a shearers quarters for Airbnb and the woolshed has been renovated for small conferences and workshops. There is a studio for accomodation.

I joined WWOOF because I think it’s the perfect opportunity for me to meet new people and learn new skills. I love being outdoors and I think it is very fulfilling to help other people with their projects.  I did some gardening before when I worked on a construction site which I really enjoyed. After all I hope that I can gain new perspectives and have some exciting experiences while wwoofing.
