I joined WWOOF to explore a different culture and discover local flora and fauna, while interacting with people with diverse mindsets. My goal is to work in a rural setting, where I can be fed, housed, and washed, while sharing friendly moments with my hosts. By Woofing, I hope to really immerse myself in the Australian nature and get away from the cities a little. I am eager to learn and experience life on the farm, while building authentic bonds with my hosts. If possible, I am particularly interested in farms that focus on sustainability and organic farming, as I strongly believe in the importance of caring for our environment. I can't wait to start this adventure and meet some amazing people on my journey!

At 25, I’ve lived a few different lives in France, each one teaching me something valuable. Now, I’m ready for the next chapter, and it’s centered around a few key aspects: Social Aspect: For my personal balance and growth, I’m looking to build stronger social connections with people who share the same values as I do. Wwoofing really resonates with me – the respect for the environment, living in community, and being partly self-sufficient when it comes to energy and resources. It’s all about working and living in a way that’s meaningful and ethical, and I’m excited to be part of that. Professional Aspect and Lifestyle: The different experiences wwoofing offers will help shape my long-term goal of working directly with the land. I’m after something real and hands-on, closer to nature. I’m eager to pick up new skills, challenge myself, and get a feel for what goes into managing different types of farms and sustainable setups. It’s all about doing work that supports the preservation of ecosystems and stepping into the ecological and energy transition we need.

I want to learn more about living off the land in a loving, and reciprocal way. It's what I want to do with as much of my life as I can, and I love learning ways to do so directly from other passionate people, and the places they live in.

Because WWOOF is truly relevant for the times we live in, as these days many people are starting to think about where their food is coming from and see the value of healthy nutritious food grown locally. This is great for local small businesses which I hear are the heartbeat of Regional Australia. So, for me to be a WWOOFer in Australia is to play a role in helping to make the world a greener, better place for us all.” Donna “The truth is I’ve been looking at many different groups and organisations but I haven’t found anything that seems as much of a perfect fit as this does. There’s nothing more I love than farming and seeing how amazing it is when nature just comes together, at 45 years I needed a lifestyle change and to get out of my comfort zone.

Excited to meet enthusiastic people exploring life and happy to work in exchange for a fun life experience!! I am a practising sculptress and live between two properties with my two sons in their 20’s  (and one with a gf). We have a large bush property (58 acres only wildlife) and central house in melbourne we all live in., plus I have a manual drive country ute. Both places always have some basic stuff to do.  The gardens of both places have never had chemicals and I have 26 years of broadacre farm advocacy with books online regards soil biology and the climate since 2006  . I don’t garden other than domestically but have years of knowledge I can exchange for simple rural labour and domestic tidy/ cleaning I need strength for as busy editing next book on carbon in the soil . had 2 great woods one at each place over nye so now just need some digging as bush has been flooding and need to extend ditches we started plus retrim garden and test irrigation. mud brick house could use some painting i f that interests you while travelling. Depends what you are needing to learn. i’m pretty busy at the moment with my soil carbon book. Also experienced with soil carbon offsets and global climate in this space just back from COP 28.

Considering a move to the bush but I would love to have the opportunity to be exposed to the realities of the hard work on the farm before making such a monumental change in my life. Soil regeneration and reversing desertification is a practice that intrigues me. I'd love to learn more.

I decided to join WWOOF because I see it as a great opportunity to make a positive impact through sustainable work. I believe that working on organic farms will allow me to contribute to something good for the environment. I want to work with people who deal responsibly with the earth and human beings. Also, I think WWOOF is a fantastic way to meet many different people from around the world. I’m excited to connect with others, learn from their experiences, and share my own. This program offers a unique chance to grow personally while working in a meaningful way.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
