I joined WWOOF through American Institute of Foreign Studies (AIFS) and am interested in learning about life on Australian Organic & Permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically.

I joined WWOOF to live new experiences and do things I couldn't imagine doing before. I've grown up in a dairy farm and I'd like to discover new types of farms. With WWOOFing I'd meet people I wouldn't meet in other situations and create good memories with them

My name is Bambou, I am 19 years old and I currently live in the south of France. I plan to come to Australia in February or March for 3 months. I love discovering new things and I am open to all suggestions.

To discover new experiences and help hosts with their projects. It's a great opportunity for the host and me because in exchange for a few hours of work per day we get food and accommodation, which is perfect when we arrive in a city in Australia.

Because I would like to learn more English and discover new culture. The fact that I leave with a family is more comforting for me and also for my parents, I'm sure that this experience will improve my autonomy and my English language

Cheyenne Farm, nestled in the Byron Bay hinterland near Clunes, NSW, is a sustainable agricultural enterprise focusing on Lemonade fruit orchards and low-emission Tuli cattle. We are seeking experienced farm hands to assist with orchard management, regenerative agriculture practices, and general farm tasks. A background in farming and sustainability is essential. We are a young family of four from a small town in Germany. At the moment we are located in Thailand, where we moved around with bus and trains in Asia. Next month we would love to go back to Australia once more because we loved the Aussie way of life when we were in Queensland and the NT. WWOOFING is a great way to get in contact with people, learn new things, help others, and having a great time.

I joined to broaden my experience and also travel a bit, meet like minded people, and would like to share my knowledge and also learn in the process as I would like to get a farm again one day. I would like to achieve just learning a bit more in the process, as there is so much to learn.

I joined WWOOF to find farm work around Australia, expand my knowledge of ranch work and meet new people. I have some experience on a cattle station and have been taught the basics of the day to day tasks of running a cattle station but have a limited knowledge of how to ride and herd cattle but am keen to learn and improve. I was staying with a family friend just outside of Rockhampton on their cattle station. While I am still new to this profession I am eager to learn and experiance more of Australia. I am no stranger to hard work and am not afraid to get stuck in, I’m staying in a youth hostel so socialising is not hard for me.

I love all things horticultural and grow a lot of produce in the short growing season here in Scotland. I also keep bees. I woofed last year in Japan and loved it. I am super hard working and willing to give any task a go.

My name is Sophie, and I’m from Germany. I’m currently traveling and WWOOFing in Australia, excited to immerse myself in Australian culture and meet new people along the way. During this chapter of my life, I’m eager to embrace new challenges and push myself beyond my comfort zone.

I joined WWOOF because I was using workaway and love volunteering but wanted to specifically see which farming jobs were available in Australia. It seems a bit less cluttered.

New experiences excite me, they are what I work for. In my perspective, WWOOFing offers a chance to simultaneously work and experience on a greater level than is usually possible. I believe that sharing a place can act as a catalyst that brings people together by creating common ground between individuals that may not have similarities in other aspects of life. I think that WWOOFing provides a unique opportunity to soak in the knowledge of the skills that organic farms depend on for standard operation while introducing a (literal) foreign body into the operation. I strive to be helpful both physically and in spirit in everything I do, this would be no exception. I see this program as an opportunity to be a part of a symbiotic relationship. In the ever-changing landscape of the world, I feel that is increasingly important to connect with others who differ from myself. I hope that through WWOOFing I can gain a greater understanding of how and why places and people function as they do.

I am trying to gain more experience in cultivating on smale scale farms. As well as just learn more about growing vegtabels and tending to livestock. I just started to miss getting my Hands into soil.

Our main objective? To improve our English. We love to talk and learn from the people around us. Looking for new challenges and experiences, we want to learn more about Australia and its cultures.

I’m joining WWOOF to gain experience across Australia, exploring new areas of work and just to try new things. I hope that this experience will broaden my horizons and introduce me to different ways of life, around Australia. Overall I hope to build my confidence and gain new, exciting skill sets.
