WWOOFING is the perfect opportunity to tick off the farmwork on my bucket list. A friend of my parents mentioned the platform and on my way to plan the rest of my Australia trip, I remembered it.

I want to experience living the Aussie lifestyle and culture, get to know people and work on organic farms or outdoors. I want to learn about different cultures and I'm happy when living in rural places. As long as we can get around via public transport, we are happy to be quite rural. I've got a full clean driving licence, so if you'd like me to drive and do shopping and errands, I'm happy to help.

In first, we join WWOOF to learn how to work in Australia especially in farms. Secondly to discover the culture of the country and also discover local people to create interaction, sharing experiences etc... We think WWOOF is a great idea to encourage mutual help and to gather people !

I came to Australia on a working holiday visa, but I wasn't necessarily interested in "working." I came to study English, talk to people, and have new experiences. WWOOFing gives me the chance to achieve all three of these things. (Of course, I cannot ignore the fact that I have a safe place to sleep and can leave my heavy luggage.) Fresh food, life close to nature, new discoveries, new knowledge, a new me. I think WWOOF is a great opportunity. The connections, the experiences, the hardships. It's all about blood, sweat and tears.

We are eager to have new experiences and learn about different lifestyles and cultures. Australia was interesting for both of us since we heard a lot about it's diverse nature and attractions from people who already visited Australia. Another reason was the infamous Australian lifestyle which seems to be so different to what we know. We also wanted to get to know more about the life on an Australian farm and since WHOOF offers so many different opportunities it seemed to be a great option for us, as we want to explore and learn as much as possible.

Hello! There are several reasons why I joined WWOOF Australia. First of all, as I wrote in the self-introduction section, I love Australia and have visited as a tourist, but I have never visited as a volunteer, I thought I would be able to interact with many people in Australia, which I love. I like interacting with people from other countries and learning about their culture, so when I have time, I sometimes go to the international communication center of my university. I would like to experience the culture and learn a lot by living together. The second reason is that I would like to get a job that uses English in the future. I want to learn English by having a lot of conversations with native speakers, rather than learning English as a class at school. Finally, the biggest reason is that there will no longer be opportunities in life for long vacation of several months. I believe that by spending several months in Australia interacting with various people and experiencing various things. I will acquire something important that money can’t buy. Thank you for reading the end.

After 10+ years in the finance industry i felt like a change, it was not something i wanted to do for the next 10 years of my life. I have a passion for travelling and meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. I have a strong interest now in becoming Self-sufficient as much as possible and living in communities. I left my company in January this year and have been living on an organic farm in Yeppoon, Woofing which has been great. I've developed a strong interest in learning more about permaculture, Bio-dynamics and syntropic farming. I'm now looking to increase my knowledge in these areas by visiting different farms/communities to learn more. I had never heard of Woofing before this year and it's opened my eyes to a whole new world. I feel the idea of Woofing's is incredible as I've realized in my few months on this farm the amount of work that's put in. looking forward to the next adventure.

I like to share experience with people and learn from them. Because it makes our world wider and deeper. Also I can know about myself more 🙂 What I focus on is exchanging ideas and thoughts about life by not just only talking but also having dialogue. So exciting to meet and connect with new people and share the time.

To meet new people, to learn new skills. To develop myself in many ways and also contributing to the Australia society and the beautiful nature. Volunteering in Australia offers numerous benefits. It’s an opportunity to give back to communities, contribute to environmental conservation, and engage in meaningful projects such as wildlife protection or habitat restoration. It allows you to experience Australia on a deeper level, meeting locals and making a positive impact. Volunteering also helps develop new skills, gain work experience, and build connections. Additionally, it promotes personal growth and cultural understanding, enriching your travel experience by creating lasting memories and a sense of fulfillment.

I have family in Brisbane but I hope that wwoofing will allow me to get out of the city and explore what there is to be offered in Australia's nature. By the time I reach Australia, I will have finished two months travelling the country of New Zealand.

One reason is to experience rural Australia and engage with locals in a deeper way than just in an employer-employee relationship. While I love farm work and always try to do neat work, I consider myself more human-oriented than task-oriented. Meaningful and warm connections are important to me, and I am searching for hosts who share that mindset. Another reason is to learn more about sustainable ways of farming. As environmental crises keep getting worse, we will have to be creative in the ways we feed ourselfves and design landscapes. I'm always happy to engage with people who are trying out new ideas and eager to learn from them.

Traveling is one of my greatest passions, as it allows me to explore different cultures and broaden my horizons. Healthy food and cook by myself is more than just sustenance for me; it's an experience that I love sharing.

Three Gullies is a productive regenerative farm, producing beef and lamb, situated on Fairy Meadow Creek, on the foothills of Mount Fairy. We apply permaculture design principles in paddock and landscape design, with the goal of improving ecological services across the land scape. Three Gullies complements the application of these principles by applying holistic grazing as described by Allan Savory. There are six quality of life statements that are part of the Three Gullies Holistic Context and associated decision-making tools. All decisions to undertake activities or ventures at Three Gullies must align within this context. This is the tool we use to ensure value alignment and matching work ethic.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
