We believe that working within an Australian company and family is a great opportunity to experience the country’s customs and culture. It will also allow us to improve our English. We are excited to explore this beautiful country and meet its people. This type of experience is quite rare in France, and we find it both fascinating and enriching. We are eager to learn new things ☺️

I first heard about the WWOOF concept while I was still in Germany, and I was immediately fascinated by it. I believe that sustainable farming is the future and I am truly inspired by the idea that people who share the same values can easily connect through the WWOOF network. I chose to join WWOOF in Australia because, in my opinion, agriculture is a vital part of a country's culture and I want to learn more about Australia. Through this experience, I hope not only to deepen my understanding of sustainable living but also to meet new people, exchange ideas and build meaningful connections.

It's a great way to experience different places & help out at the same time. I have been a wwoofer before (long ago), including near the Flinders Ranges, SA, & once each in the borderland of Scotland & near the Coast to Coast Track in England. I hope to achieve good contributions to my hosts' needs; learn new things ecologically & pragmatically; and work harmoniously with hosts & other wwoofers, as well as learning about & enjoying the natural local attractions.

Growing up my family hosted WWOOF's on our dairy farm, and I see it as a great way of learning about different types of farming and climates. I have a bit of time in between commitments and would love to get to know the country in Tasmania better because I'd like to buy a farm here.

I see WWOOFing as a beautiful and open platform to share the amazing experience of being alive with others. It’s a rich opportunity to exchange knowledge, skills, and stories with people I meet along the way. I'm passionate about learning non-conventional ways of living more in harmony with nature and the environment. Connecting with hosts and fellow WWOOFers who share this mindset is something I truly value. Being able to help hosts and collaborate through a platform that encourages mutual support, learning, and cultural exchange is something I deeply appreciate. WWOOFing allows us to build genuine relationships, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow as individuals all while living simply and with purpose. For me, it’s more than just volunteering; it’s about creating community, exploring conscious ways of living, and celebrating the joy of working with the land and with like minded people.

I have always wanted to Wwoof and finally have the time! I’m travelling in Australia for 2 months late April to late June and would like to volunteer not only to save my budget but because I am keen for a cultural exchange with a host and to help and learn. As I am on a tourist visa I believe I can volunteer on non commercial/small farms. I especially want to learn about gardening, permaculture and organic farming methods.

Skills I Want to Learn: Organic Practices
I joined WWOOF because I am passionate about agriculture and eager to learn organic and sustainable farming practices that I can bring back to my community in Kenya. I work closely with small-scale farmers in the Rapogi Lwanda area, and many of them face challenges like low crop yields and limited access to modern techniques. Through WWOOF, I hope to gain hands-on experience in diverse farm settings, understand how sustainable agriculture is practiced in Australia, and apply this knowledge to help improve food security and farming methods at home. I also believe in cultural exchange, and I see WWOOF as a great opportunity to share my background while learning from others. Volunteering on a farm is not only a way to contribute but also to grow personally and professionally. I am excited to be part of a program that values learning, helping, and building global connections through agriculture.

I'd just like to live life a little differently from my city/suburban-based life 🙂 I dream of having my own edible garden some day too so any skills and knowledge I gain from WWOOFing goes into my little piggy bank for that!

I grew up on a farm in Bathurst and I’ve studied permaculture, a few decades ago. One of my longterm visions is to help create multiple occupancy tiny home villages for displaced Northern Rivers locals. Wwoofing seems like the perfect way to learn about organic farming and make some really wholesome connections. Initially I’m looking for short and long term positions around the Northern Rivers area before I adventure further.

I am excited to be moving to Australia and I am eager to immerse myself in the local culture and environment. My goal for the first three months is to volunteer, allowing me the opportunity to meet locals, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn more about Australia’s unique flora and fauna. Volunteering is a great way for me to get involved in the community while also gaining a deeper understanding of the natural landscapes that make Australia so special.

Looking for experience and knowledge, hopefully meeting new interesting people along the way. Have previously worked at a farm via wwoof in the South of France in 2015. Did some fruit picking, cooking and gardening along with some light construction work. Enjoyed my time with friends, and I think there’s no better place to try the same than Australia.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
