Skills I Want to Learn: Organic Practices, Permaculture/Biodynamics, Biodynamics practices and techniques
I sometimes go back Japan while a holiday is going but I can't go back Japan all times. I would have nothing in a next holiday so I'm interested in it. It may develop my skill of working. I don't have a job which I want to do certainly. I think an experience of working helps me to decide it even if a experience is not relating to what I want to do. Further more, any experiences of working may be good for a job I would do.

I already did some woofing in New Zealand, and I find that it‘s such a cool way to meet people from the country, learning new skills and to travel on low budget.

My first WWOOF experience was in 2023 in France and I became hooked on the marvelous interconnectivity the platform offers -- the chance to connect farmers and volunteers, volunteers to the land, volunteers to other volunteers, volunteers to new places, copious knowledge sharing, the list goes on 🙂

I joined woofing because I think it's a great way to start living in a new country. In the future, I'd like to work in different areas, such as on a ranch, on agricultural farms or in housekeeping, to be able to validate my second year visa.

I've been always very caring about the environment, that's why I became vegetarian 8 years ago. I love animals and being in the nature. I have the feeling WWOOFING provides this mix of ethical care for animals and the environment within a social community. I've volunteered before on an ethical goat farm in the Alpes of France, and this is still an experience I talk about a lot!

During my visit to Australia, I plan to first do some tourist activities to explore parts of the country and do exciting activities. However, I would also love to do something outside of the typical tourist experiences and really get to know the Australian culture, learning about people and nature. By WOOFing, I hope to achieve exactly that, while also trying new things to get out of my comfort zone and being as helpful as possible to the WOOFing hosts.

I love the beach and nature, and I am looking to find my way to working in/ with nature and learning about general gardening, organic living, self sufficiency, living in harmony with nature. I am from the city and hope to learn as much as possible whilst also staying and working in a WWOOF host place 🙂

Looking forward to learn more about farming and life in Australia. It seems also the best way to learn more about the environment in which I will be travelling.

I have a long-term goal of setting up a hobby farm that will provide a holistic, arts-based therapy space and am joining WWOOF to learn some of the skills that I'll need to make my dream a reality. I’d also love to meet some like-minded people while I explore this beautiful country.

I was considering how the fill the next two weeks before my 88 days are starting on the 17th of March. I have travelled a lot the last two months and I would like to work something again as soon as possible. It was beautiful to travelling, but after two months of that I feel the need to work something again. So I thought WWOOF is a good oppurtunity to bridge that time until my 88 days are starting. I really would like to make new experiences. I am interested in working and living in a rural area and getting to know the work and life there.

I didn't really know what I wanted to study or work after school. That's why I decided to work and travel for a year first. Australia has fascinated me for a long time because my cousin lived in Sydney for a few years and I find nature and animals very exciting. When I was planning my trip, I came across Wwoofing and it was just perfect. I like animals and would love to get to know the typical Australian farm life.

We would love to learn more about farming and the Australian culture. We are interested at working with animals as well as with crops. But also other work outside would interest us a lot. We would call us ecologically aware people that's why WWOOF stood out for us. The goal of the volunteering farm work for us would be to achieve skills at gardening and farming, to value the hard farm work behind the scenes and experience the Australian way of life.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
