To learn, help, create, build and share. These are all values we hold close to our heart. We love the concept of Permaculture and try and apply this holistic style of living to every part of our lives. Not just in the garden but within the community as well. WWOOFing in 2014 was by far the most beneficial form of learning and networking in a small community. We want to learn about organic gardening but we want to meet the amazing people who are living this lifestyle.

I want to gain as much experience as I can and gain a wide array of skills to better myself, as I want to learn to be my most capable self, so I can one day, in the right field help others to do the same. Also, I believe the key to life is connections which means putting myself out there.

At the moment, I find myself at a crossroads in life. I am looking for work and considering study options. I don't wish to return to the public service, yet I don't know what other path to take. I think that it'd be a good thing to meet some people through WWOOF, see some more of Australia, and doing some outdoor work again.

We are on 20+ acres of land backing on to a national forest, within walking distance to the beach and river. We are establishing a permaculture / eco-farm experience, that incorporates living in an environmentally responsible manner, working with recycled material, earth building techniques and establishing a self sustaining permaculture forest. We have recycled 13 caravans, so they make up accommodation for guests and us. We plan on using this place to support community groups too. Our plan is to develop this facility while we work with people and teach them how to incorporate some of these techniques into their own lives. We are in a town of 3500 people, 30 kms south of Nowra and 32kms north of Ulladulla. We are 2.5 hours drive from Sydney, 2.5hrs from Canberra, 9 hours from Melbourne and 13 hrs from Brisbane. We have guests who use our place as a base to discover the South Coast and all the national parks and forests in the area. I come from a big Italian family, I am a qualified Carpenter and Builder, who is managing this project-developing a dream I have had since I was little. My other jobs are too many to list and I don't want to brag. Arthur is the Electrician/ Carpenter/ Builder/ Machine Operator/ Miracle Worker, who makes it all happen. Our 3 dogs (Missy, Molly and Tilly) are our Branch Managers, Work Site Inspectors, Customer Welcoming Committee and Alternative Therapy Personnel.

I'm WWOOFing to learn everything I can about small-scale farms to inspire my own farming adventure and to see more of Australia. I have met both volunteers and hosts who have had wonderful experiences and encouraged me to join.

Just turned 40 and packed everything up to get into #vanlife. First did wwoof-ing in my early 20's so looking forward to getting back into it. I enjoy the work and the travel, and getting to know the land and the people within it. Plus, it's great to be able to return the favour by employing my passion for cooking and looking after the people around me. Win-win.

I have spent most of my life in the bush or on the sea and Helen is a well travelled artist. We live on 95 acres of rainforest, 50 acres a nature refuge with 10 acres of edible bamboo shoots. A self-built, open plan house sits between spring fed dams and is powered by solar & hydro. Platypus & cassowary are about and be aware that we also have snakes & spiders. There is a permanent creek, swimming holes, a large vegetable patch & fruit trees. We are close to Bartle Frere, the highest mountain in Qld, which gives even temperatures, cool nights & few pests. Bring raincoats, work clothes and boots for outdoor work.

I am looking for an opportunity to learn farming and market gardening skills on a farm that uses permaculture, biodynamic, or organic methods. I particularly love growing and processing vegetables, herbs, and flowers, and making things in the kitchen. I would also love to learn how to care for animals. I would love to live in a private cosy space while I help out on the farm.

We are passionate about eating and living organically, and that this is one pathway to healing the earth. We want to both learn and contribute to re-wilding society's diet/movement/lifestyle, and supporting & promoting locally owned small businesses with a similar philosophy. As we are travelling in our fully self-contained bus-home, we have no need for accommodation, only space to park, and the opportunity to exchange our gifts and labour.

I joined WWOOF because I want to learn and experience the ways in which different cultures and areas live and farm organically. The idea of working in exchange for staying with a host family seemed very reasonable to me and beneficial for everybody. I love to travel, and this is a beautiful way to do it and get the most out of the experience I’ll have abroad.

Both of us feel a strong connection to nature and are yearning for a small break from City life. We are avid supporters of self sustainability and aspire to go off grid once we're done with the bustle of town. Claudi (an organic enthusiast) WWOOFed for four months in France in '19 and has been keening to go back.
