We both are very interested in the idea of producing our own food and have a little dream of our own acreage and some animals in the future. Also we love the chance to settle down for a bit and do some work while travelling Australia and meet some friendly people.

I underwent some health issues last year which forced me to quit my job and embark on a self-led recovery journey. During this, I focused almost exclusively on learning the basics of self-sufficiency - I honed and sharpened my cooking skills, organization/cleaning skills, meditation/yoga/exercise practices, and many other things that completely altered the way I conceived of my personal priorities and values. I learned that my happiness is deeply rooted in my ability to provide and care for myself. As a result of my journey, I want to learn how to be as self-sufficient as possible, and to continue building my knowledgebase as it pertains to health and wellness.

I'm very motivated by the idea of taking part in projects linked to nature, manual work or learning new skills. I love animals and was born and raised with dogs. I also want to meet and understand a new culture. For me, that means exchanging with local people. For me, woofing is a great opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences and discover new things, both human and environmental.

I joined WWOOF after I had heard about it via word of mouth from a friend. I joined to hopefully complete my designated work time of 88 days, and I have hopes of attaining a second working holiday visa post-year one.

I joined WWOOF to discover what it is to work in a farm and learn about people's living experience in Australia which is something complicated to do in hostels. I currently do not have a lot of experience in farms but that's why I would like to learn and help, in any type of farm, because it would also help me knowing more things.

I’ve found myself with a nice chunk of time between graduating university and starting on a graduate scheme with the civil service this Autumn, so I would love to get out and experience a bit of life before I start my career in earnest. I'd love to meet people I would otherwise never have the chance to and make some really rich memories and learn all sorts of skills to take home with me!

WWOOF seems like a good starting point to search for and connect with like minded people. I went through a couple ads and they all look like fantastic places to get things going.

I'm concerned about the impact ultra-processed foods are having on our health, and I'm keen to learn more about how organic foods are produced. In my spare time, I love sourcing organic produce and cooking delicious, wholesome meals. I had my first WWOOFing experience in Ancona, Italy, where I worked on an organic farm run by a wonderful Italian family. I'm now looking forward to learning more about organic farming practices in Australia and spending more time immersed in nature.

I wanted to join WWOOF to get some experience in the agriculture industry as it is what I want to do long term. I also like the idea of helping people get things done. It’s a great deal as you don’t have to pay for food and accommodation but you get to experience great things.

I would love to own a farm of my own one day and want to gain the relevant skills to be able to achieve that! I enjoy helping others and love the break from standard society through farm/ranch work, making me feel a deep connection to nature.

A stunning 50-acre property 950 meters above sea level in the most beautiful Lachlan Shire in NSW. Under three-hour drive to Sydney and situated under two hours' drive to the nation's capital Canberra. I breed miniature goats and love the peace and privacy of my property. Accommodation is in a private separate flat with bathroom, kitchen and separate bedroom with double bed. The area is mainly sheep country and is very picturesque. The property has some gardens, miniature goats, a Maremma  and sheep. Time spent helping with miniature goats, gardening, weeding and general farm maintenance and just enjoying the peace.

I joined WWOOF as part of a 12-month sabbatical across Australia. After years of city living and working in heavy systems, I knew it was time to return to a slower, more natural way of life. I’m longing to live in harmony with the seasons, learn hands-on from people already living sustainably, and offer my energy, skills, and presence in return. WWOOF feels like the perfect way to reconnect with community, land, and purpose. I’m not just looking for a place to stay—I’m seeking experience, exchange, and transformation. I hope to learn about holistic farming, earth-based skills, animal care, and land stewardship while also offering my own life experience, spiritual insight, and practical support wherever it’s needed.

I signed up for WWOOFing because I’m excited to immerse myself in farm life and fully experience what it means to live and work closely with nature. I’ve always felt a strong connection to the outdoors and a deep appreciation for animals, fresh air, and the simple, rewarding rhythm of hands-on work. The idea of learning how to grow food, care for the land, and be part of a sustainable way of living really speaks to me. I’m someone who’s eager to learn, open to new experiences, and not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get stuck in. More than anything, I’m looking forward to contributing wherever I’m needed, learning from people with real knowledge and experience, and stepping into a lifestyle that aligns with my values. I see this as more than just volunteering—it’s a chance to grow, give back, and hopefully become a part of a community, even for a little while.

I would like the opportunity to work on different ranches and farms to gain insights into various management systems whilst travelling and continuing to handle animals. Contributing to the hosts' efforts and helping out while acquiring practical experience presents a valuable and enriching opportunity which would help out a lot in my future career 🙂
