I want to learn more about organic farming as I intend to shortly buy my own property and apply what I learn from WWOOF to my farm, in particular how we can apply technology to improve the farm processes. I have an understanding of the theory of animal husbundary and growing food, but want to improve that by learning from experienced people so that I can hit the ground running when I do decide that the time is right for me to start my own property.

We are a mixed Sheep and Grain enterprise in the wheatbelt. We are not in a high rainfall area but can still grow some reasonable crops at times. We have always been non chemical but have recently made the step of certifying one of our farms to grow organic oats. There is no market for our wheat and Barley in the organics so we continue to grow those chemical free but just sell to CBH the same as all the other growers. We are passionate about farming and the lifestyle. We enjoy having milking cows just for our own use not for selling the milk. Sheep is a big part in our farming. We love wool as a product and enjoy the active lifestyle that sheep bring.

We both like to be actively and productively engaged. It helps us to connect with locals and we get to see and do things that most travellers miss. We are also able to utilise a lifetime of experiences to bring mutual benefits to our hosts and ourselves.

We believe wwoofing is a great way to meet new people and get to know the Australian lifestyle. It's always a more rewarding experience to share a home with someone, than just travel through.

I made the decision to join WWOOF so that I'll able to volunteer my time, gain valuable experiences and make some nice friends while exploring Australia. WWOOF Australia seems to be a platform that can help expand my learning experiences, thus allowing me to do what I've wanted to do for the longest time before embarking on the next leg of my learning journey in tertiary education. Previously, there were some constraints. However, with my remote work, feeling freer to do what I'd like to do, and being where I'd like to be, has never seem more real than now, and with WWOOF Australia, the opportunities seem endless. I'm looking forward to some new experiences through this WWOOFing experience.

I would like to work on a farm since I like animals and nature, starting mid february 2025 for 3 to 4 weeks. I did appreciate my experience of grapepicking in France, it was very convivial. I think it is a good way of knowing a little more about Australians and Australia.

I wanted to move out of Japan and see the world. When I was traveling alone in Japan, I helped out in the farming industry, so I became interested in WWOOF, which can put that experience to good use. I'm looking forward to living a self-sufficient life in the future, so I'd like to see a lot of things. I'm currently studying English, but I can't speak it very well yet, so I wanted to improve my language skills by putting myself in an English-centered environment.

I joined wwoof because everywhere else i’ve wwoofed i have loved my time there. Meeting different people and working outside are some of my favourite things and travelling solo gives me the freedom to make my schedule and take things slow. Savour. Everyone has something new to teach. To uncover the small wonders of how the Earth works. I love bird IDing and have recently become obsessed with Merlin bird ID.
