I want to learn more about small-scale farming and get a taste for what it would be like to live in a rural area, to see if it might be.a permanent move for me in the future. I also want to get out of the city and out of my head during the summer school holidays 🙂

My wife Emma and I are currently travelling Australia and looking to meet new people and try new experiences. We grew up in families that took pride in their veggie patches and have appreciated the time, effort and 'blood, sweat and tears' it takes to grow your own food. With minimal farm experience we'd love to learn more from our host and are willing to try anything and everything.

I joined WWOOF because I hope I can find people who share the same values than me. I want to learn about farming in a respectful way for the environment and ourselves. I also want to help as much as I can. I have done some couchsurfing for a few years and believe that WWOOFing is something similar but in a farming way. I can't wait to find out about it!

I've always enjoyed gardening, and working with my hands. The lifestyle I live currently doesn't provide me with many opportunities to do this. Like many people, I've had an unusual 24 months, and was looking to take a break from my day job, disconnect from the bustle of city life, connect with nature and try something completely new. My grandfather was a farmer in Sri Lanka, so I'm hoping WWOOF-ing is sort of in my pedigree.

I'm joining WWOOF to hopefully get some experience on what farm life is like, learn new skills and hopefully make it more common in my life as there must be more to life than what I'm currently doing now. Also meeting like minded people is very appealing. Working for board and lodging is very appealing and makes seeing more of my country a reality. Speak to hosts and work out the social side of stuff required as well as possibly becoming a host!

I joined WWOOF to learn more about organic farming, permaculture and rural living as I intend to buy my own property in the future and would like to go forward with important skills I believe I will only learn with hands on experience.

I love naturalness but I grew up in the city, the WWOOF allows me to approach the agricultural and rural world in a gradual and humble way. I do everything with a lot of good will and availability. I want to learn everything that will allow me to become an independent grower. I would like to learn about the cultivation of hemp, medicinal herbs, orchards, vegetable gardens, and raising small animals for self-consumption. I have chosen Australia because of its warm climate and because I want to improve my English.

Hello. We are a family of 6 (Sons aged 21,19 & 12 year old boy & girl twins) living in Mongolian Gers (yurts) on a sunny property in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. We have recently moved here and are in the designing and creating phase which is really fun, but there is a lot to do and I'd love some help!

We have done a bit of travelling ourselves and one of the best parts about that is meeting new people and sharing stories and experiences. We hope to hear more interesting life stories and share our own experiences. And of course, we are keen to learn some new skills, particularly how to grow vegetables and care for the natural environment, care for different animals and pick up some general maintenance skills.

Since I'm into food, I started to curious about how the foods grow including vegetables or animals. Also interested in sustainable living practice which many WWOOF hosts are applying so I thought I could learn from them. I'm interested in organic/ permaculture practice, I thought volunteering through WWOOF is the best way to start with.

I am interested in the non-city life, and the sense of well-being it can bring to the soul - I often feel anxious and enclosed in cities. Due to having my gap-year plans cut short last year I am also looking to seek out new adventures, meet new people and rediscover the country I call home.

Learn about regenerative farming as it is a dream one day to be self-sufficient and be able to grow and eat my own food. I am also keen to explore options for a career break.
