To meet new people and learn from them, whether that be their philosophies, skills, languages or lifestyle. After hearing about it from a friend, it sounded like the perfect way to integrate into a space, learning from the people that live there, and leaving with an authentic impression of that place. It also seems to be the most cost-effective and fulfilling way to travel. I am keen to explore new ways to live and be inspired by how people conduct their lives in an eco-friendly way.

We joined WWOOF as it sounds like a great way to meet likeminded people in our new home and spend our time learning what we enjoy learning about. We want to own our own piece of land one day and use it to grow our own produce, so WWOOF will be a great way to get ideas about what will work for us etc.

Highly recommended from a fellow WWOOF'er. I have heard that this is the best way to get in contact with like minded people that have similar interests and passions.

My desire to join WWOOF comes from the belief that working on Organic Farms is an opportunity to have a hands-on experience about what farming is all about while contributing to an activity that promotes sustainable practices. I also hope to reconnect to a simple way of living and being more connected to nature, which I have felt disconnected from several times in the past few years, all while meeting many different people and forming lasting connections with them.

I’m visiting Australia from my home in London to spend time with family, but I also see this as a great opportunity to learn and grow in other ways. I’ve spent several years working in office jobs, but I’m now looking for a lifestyle change and a break from the routine. I’ve developed a growing interest in permaculture, regenerative growing practices, and rewilding, and I’m excited to learn more about these areas while also embracing a more outdoor-focused way of life. I’m also eager to meet like-minded people, try out new crafts, and learn from those embracing a more sustainable way of living.

I am about to apply for a third visa while learning more about Australia. I want to know about organic and healthy living, the current state of Australia, and its nature and lifestyle. Additionally, I hope to contribute something useful while in Australia. I want to learn the knowledge needed for self-sufficiency and living on my own strength. I also want to be able to cook delicious meals without relying on eating out. My grandfather had run a completely pesticide-free farm, so I would be delighted to learn more about pesticide-free and organic farming. Also, I would prefer life away from the city.   Why I Came to Australia This story is a bit long. Since childhood, I have been suffering from atopic dermatitis. In my first year as a working adult, I developed severe atopic dermatitis, insomnia, Achilles tendonitis, Adrenal Fatigue, and other illnesses due to stress from a harsh work environment and an unhealthy diet. I visited a clinic that practised integrative medicine, nutritional therapy, and natural therapy, where I received various dietary advice. After that, I followed a diet for about three years that avoided eggs, wheat, dairy products, sugar, food additives, and trans fats. Nowdays, my atopic dermatitis and other health issues improved remarkably, allowing me to handle any job. Even now, I try to avoid wheat, milk, and sugar as much as possible. So I can handle physical work without any problems! I have overcome many hardships and am now surprisingly doing well. AND I have realized firsthand how important the food we eat is. For about ten years, I had a desire to learn English, but self-study didn't progress well, and I struggled with daily life. Therefore, I decided to go on a working holiday. In Japan, outside of Tokyo, there are hardly any gluten-free or vegan options, and organic products are very expensive. My grandfather passed away when I was in high school, so I no longer had the opportunity to eat delicious vegetables. It was very challenging and costly to maintain my dietary restrictions, and there were few places where I could eat out. In Australian markets, there are fresh and vibrant vegetables and fruits, and just seeing them lifts my spirits! I knew that gluten-free and organic options were prevalent in Australia. So, when considering a working holiday, Australia was my only choice. (for studying, living, and travelling as well) Next year, I plan to return to Melbourne, participate in various communities, and achieve my goals. However, I've had a great experience with my first WWOOF and have learned a lot about the wonderful countryside, so I may be doing something different next year! Farming is fascinating and fun!

I would like to join WWOOF to gain experience about farming, learn more about growing vegetables and in general about farm life and enjoy being in nature. I am also interested to work on a flower farm as I do love flowers. WWOOF is a great way to meet people, learn about different cultures, gain work experience and get a break away from the busy corporate world in nature. I heard about WWOOF the first time when I was in New Zealand and was always interested to join. Now I feel that it is the right time for me to explore my interest to change a direction in my life and explore and gain experience working on a farm.

I joined wwoof because I want to learn more about farming and gardening. I'm hoping to explore some different areas and meet some great people along the way as I harness these skills.

I decided to join WWOOF because I wanted to experience life in a more authentic and meaningful way than ordinary travel. I have always been interested in nature, sustainable living, and organic farming, but I have not had many opportunities to practice them. When I spent about a week living in the city, I realized that this environment did not suit me. Since I was born and raised in the countryside where agriculture was always close to me, I strongly felt that rural life fits me better. WWOOF gives me the chance to connect with that lifestyle again while also learning directly from local hosts. At the same time, I have always admired the idea of living abroad in the future. Through WWOOF, I hope to gain experience of working in a different culture, improve my communication skills, and develop the adaptability needed for an international lifestyle. Ultimately, I joined WWOOF because I want to challenge myself, contribute to the community, and discover a lifestyle closer to nature while preparing for my dream of living overseas.

Our family property is in a very, very beautiful part of Australia, right at the Southern base of Mount Warning. It is surrounded by 3 World Heritage National Parks and is a highly pristine, tranquil and secluded wilderness environment. Our property is 100 acres of mostly forested land.  It has a creek, walking tracks, wildlife and gorgeous views out over the National Park mountains.  All that can be seen is mountains and trees, it is amazing.  We have a small cleared area on the side of the mountain where we have our house, a cabin, a camping area, a dam, greenhouses, and a syntropic system. We also have spaces set aside for future market gardening and commercial hemp cultivation. We love living and working here! We are able to provide the 88 day visa extension allowance, for disaster recovery assistance.

I join because I will start working in a farm and will have to join in wwoof in order to make my framework for the visa. Moreover, I like the job you offer and how everything works. I think its a good way to explore new places and new people with this webpage.
