Joining WWOOF felt like the natural next step in my journey. I’m at a crossroads in my life where I want to shift my focus toward building a healthier, more purposeful lifestyle. Along with working on my online business, I’m eager to explore new trades, live sustainably, and learn skills that support a balanced, well-rounded life. WWOOF offers a unique way to achieve that by surrounding myself with like-minded people, being outdoors, and embracing the type of growth that extends beyond just work.

A good friend of mine had a wonderful experience wwoofing on a farm, and it made me curious to try it for myself. I also enjoy doing things that contribute to the community and help build positive relationships. I also really enjoy exchanges that aren’t money based, it’s the kind of world I want to work towards!

I joined Wwoof to find a place where I can contribute and share authentic moments in harmony. I would love to learn new manual skills, but also gain knowledge about growing fruits and vegetables. We always learn what our soul needs to learn from the people we meet, and I’m also very curious to discover more of these teachings!

I joined WWOOF to hopefully gain some valuable experience in farming and develop greener thumbs. Since I’m 21 years old, I have some ideas about what I want to do in the future, but I always find it valuable to broaden my experiences. Apart from hospitality, I’ve worked with children at summer camp as a trusted adult, and I’ve also worked with elderly care. I hope to make some great memories, gain new ideas, and learn more about myself to figure out what I want to do in life.

I think WWOOFING is a great opportunity to meet some local people and make connections. It is also nice to be able to stay a bit longer in the same place, after traveling for a while. You can get to know a particular region better and you can focus on developping new skills. I also like working and making myself useful. I like being productive.

I started doing wwoofing as a way to discover what farm life was really like and the different ways of running one. I was really interested to learn more about self-suffiency (for farms working towards it) but also learn more about the practices based on respecting the environment and living entities.

We joined WWOOF as part of our process to extend our Working Holiday Visas, and also because we’re genuinely interested in learning through hands-on experiences and cultural exchange. WWOOFing is a great opportunity for us to connect with local communities, experience farm life, and contribute in a meaningful way. We're both responsible, curious, and excited to learn more about sustainable living, teamwork, and the rhythm of rural life.

I'm interested in working on a farm because I want to learn more about agricultural techniques. I already have some experience with fencing, fruit picking, weeding, and pruning, and I enjoy working outdoors and doing physical tasks. When I return to France, I’d like to live in the countryside and grow my own fruit and vegetables — so I see this as the perfect opportunity to learn as much as I can and gain more hands-on experience. I also see WWOOFing as a great way to meet new people, discover different ways of living, and improve my English while contributing to meaningful work.

I’d like to work with animals. I also enjoy chatting with people, and I’d love to meet locals in Tasmania and spend time with my WWOOF host. I used to work as a nurse in Japan. I enjoy working, so I think WWOOF suits me well because it’s not just about traveling but also about helping and working.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
