I yearn for a deeper connection with nature, seeking to gain knowledge through hands-on, practical experiences. It's essential to explore sustainable methods of food cultivation. I want to delve deeper into this subject, with the ultimate goal of expanding my knowledge in the Netherlands and either cultivating my own food or sharing this knowledge with others.

Woolly Bush Farm is a regenerative urban farm in Albany, Western Australia. We are in the development stages of setting up vegetable beds to add to the existing worm farm. We also have chickens, young fruit trees, and make biochar. Our aim is to create a viable urban farm based upon proven market gardening techniques which enrich our community, and which sits gently in a beautiful natural setting. Our mission statement is 'Rest, Research, Restore'. Accommodation is in a cute camper with a double bed, fridge and basic cooking facilities. There is a flush toilet nearby and shower/bath facilities in the house. There is a beehive in a tree on the property close to the house so be bee aware if you have an allergy to bee stings!

Mallee - my goal is to leave a light footprint on this planet while I’m here. I’ve done a 2 week Permaculture design course last year but it wasn’t enough I believe, and I want to get more hands on volunteering my labour in exchange for knowledge.

I expect from my experience in woofing to discover a new culture, new ways of working. Woofing interests me for sharing and discovery. It is also the opportunity to be able to travel and move to different cities in order to observe new landscapes.

As a child I was always very afraid of the sea, because it seemed so big and mysterious to me. Nevertheless, as a child I was often seen in front of the TV when my favorite series "H20 Suddenly Mermaid" was on. I was so attracted to the beautiful surroundings of Australia and the sea that it constantly pushed me into this world. My interest for the history of Australia was also aroused in school when we talked about the Aborigines and the Commonwealth. This had a great impact on me and without really realizing it myself, I have developed an enthusiasm for Australia and its nature. Over the years, I have also overcome my fear and I have noticed how mysterious and beautiful the world of nature and animals is. Life has begun for me since then, outside my comfort zone. Another source of insprition was my aunt. When she was younger she did a Work & Travel year and told me a lot about it. This has inspired me to be able to travel and work at the same time, in a country that fascinates me. I am aware that also difficult situations might arise during my stay in Australia, but I am sure that my ambitions will help me to overcome them and to never forget the focus on my goal. I have also saved money, agreed to improve my language skills and I am looking forward to meet new people and their cultures. Nothing is more valuable than the experience you gain, because it cannot be taken away from you. I am totally excited to meet new international friends, experience Australia's fasctinating nature and to get to know everyday life in Australia. This time might also give me some inspiration for my future career path. I would also write a travel diary during the months I spend in Australia so that this time will be remembered forever and I can help others and to give them a chance to grow. "Home is not a place. Home is where your heart is." With kind regards from Germany

I joined WWOOF as I see it as a fantastic way to meet people here in Australia, while also learning new skills working on farms. I want to be able to travel and see as much of this beautiful country as I can, and WWOOFing presents a unique opportunity to do that. I also see WWOOFing as being a good chance to meet locals in Australia, and I am hoping to create some lasting connections with my hosts that go beyond my stay at their farm.

We both love nature and learning more about different people and places. Wwoofing has been a fantastic way to do this in other countries. The ethos of WWOOF is close to our hearts as we care a lot for the environment and working hard to look after it. We are both positive and happy folks and cant wait to meet some Aussies and see some beautiful places! We have now WWOOFed together multiple times in Australia and loved the experiences.

I've spent my career working at startups and companies trying to help transition our economy away from fossil fuels. Agriculture is the most important lever we have to solving climate change and I'm passionate about learning the practices we need to make agriculture better for the planet!

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
