I like the opportunity they offer, especially to lear how to grow your own food. I’ve been living in Italy where the food is starting tasting tasteless and I don’t want to support this industry. While in the Byron Bay Area I've seen a lot of farmers that produce, grow and sell their food in the Byron shire, which tastes really good. It’s a life style that I would like to join and learn more and more about it.

We look forward to working alongside open-minded people who share our fascination with nature. We heard that Wwoof is the best place for this type of activities. Thats why we are here.

I wanted to do WWOOFing originally from the start when I came to Australia but I didn't have the courage back then. But now that I know how Australia works and how nice the people are I definitely want to see what I can learn from working on a farm.

Hello. We are a family of 6 (Sons aged 24, 22 & 16 year old guy & girl twins) living in Mongolian Gers (yurts) on a sunny property in the beautiful Corhanwarrabul, Dandenong Ranges. (Our 24 yr old is currently living in NSW). We have a variety of work with plants and animals and building, design and planning and I'd love some help! We're also looking to connect with people who are awesome with dogs, so we can go on holidays and have people stay on our property to look after them and the plants etc.

I would love to find a wwoofing opportunity where I can stay for a few months, practice living the way I dream of, and earn my accommodation through helping on an aligned property. I am studying part time do have some other work and personal projects I'm working on, too. For complete transparency and honesty, after many unfortunate setbacks and challenges over the last few years, I'm choosing to think outside the box for a way to live which will allow me to get ahead financially, too. This, paired with my genuine desire to live more in alignment with my values, is why I've decided to join WWOOF and be open to the opportunities available.

I joined WWOOF because I want to experience a different side of Australia beyond the typical backpacker route. I love the idea of exchanging work for knowledge, being part of a community, and learning firsthand about farming and sustainability. I see this as a chance to challenge myself, gain practical skills, and connect with people who share a passion for nature and hands-on work. Plus, I think working on a farm will be a refreshing change from my background in design—something completely new and rewarding!

I want to get involved in volunteering for several reasons. First of all, it's a way for me to contribute positively to something I'm not used to doing. Volunteering like WWOOF is a rewarding experience. The opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and open myself up to professions and practices different from those to which I am accustomed. It is also the way to evolve in a human and supportive framework which allows us to develop certain values !

Skills I Want to Learn:
Working and living in farm is on my bucket list, as it must be one of the very best way to experience lifestyle in countryside. I am also interested in picking up new skills (farming, gardening, animal care, etc.) which I never tried before. As a solo-traveller, joining WWOOF could let me make friends with host and other WWOOFers, I am happy to share my story!

I've been a member of Wwoof on-and-off for many years and love it as a way of getting and authentic experience of a place. We like to meet interesting people, see a bit of Australia off the usual tourist trail and remind ourselves what muscles are made for. Farming has been a long term hobby/interest and I have been working on farms and with livestock since I was a child. My neighbour used to farm with horses so my first experience was helping bring in hay on horse-drawn dray. Until I had a family, I would take time off work to help lamb on my friend's farm in the Scottish Borders. I took a six month sabbatical to milk an organic dairy herd in Wales and nearly bought into a farming partnership but instead returned to my role in renewable energy. Other experience includes erecting polytunnels, weeding, building willow frames for climbing beans, mulching, fixing guttering, scraping muck, digging drainage, fencing, grubbing up gorse bushes, drystone walling, rendering and rescuing sheep from blizzards. Whilst Wwoofing in New Zealand, Laura looked after Chloe, the Jersey house-cow and hand-milked her daily to make butter and buttermilk. We have stayed with host families a couple of times through Wwoof and it has worked out really well with being able to combine childcare and free up more adults to get on with other chores around the farm.

Looking for a WWOOF adventure for the school holidays. We have a Camper Trailer and we do lots of trips, but it’s great to have a break from camping and get access to places we would never otherwise go and meet people we would never otherwise meet without doing WWOOFing.  We love learning about new things, and learning new skills!

I joined WWOOF to experience new things and meet new people. I have always been curious about the world and love to travel and feel like a good way to build connections is through bonding in nature. I love to learn new things and live life to the fullest. I want to find people who enjoy the beauty of life and appreciate learning and making meaningful connections. I look forward to working, growing, and meeting new people! I also hope to WWOOF because one day I want to own a farm of my own and grow vegetables and fruits for myself! I love animals and I dream of owning sheep and goats as well as chickens and horses. I have a big green thumb and my room is filled with different plants. I hope to continue my dream of meeting like minded people and growing with WWOOF!

We joined WWOOF because we want to discover Australia in a meaningful way — through people, nature, and work. We’re not just traveling for fun, we truly want to learn, grow, and contribute. WWOOFing is the perfect opportunity for us to improve our English, learn more about farming, animals, and sustainable living, and experience the local way of life. We are open to all kinds of tasks and excited to step out of our comfort zone!

I initially joined in 2022, but I've joined WWOOF Australia this year as a change in my career path, with a desire to build my skills into labour work such as gardening, agroforestry, carpentry, as well as animal husbandry if available. I'm looking to flourish again with a group of people who cherish these values, and see what I can offer for them, as well as what I can be taught in return.

I’m looking for an adjustment of lifestyle. I previously worked as a paediatric occupational therapist in a high paced 9-5 job. I’m looking for the chance to learn and grow skills to connect with others in a community

One of my main motivations for joining the WWOOFing community is my strong interest in working outdoors and gaining hands-on experience in farming, cultivation, and sustainable living. Beyond learning practical skills, this journey is also a personal challenge for me—to step out of my comfort zone, be away from my friends and family, and prove to myself that I can adapt, work hard, and grow both personally and professionally. Additionally, I see this as a great opportunity to improve my English by practicing it in a real-life environment while exchanging with local people and fellow travelers. I believe that WWOOFing will be an amazing opportunity to develop valuable skills while connecting with people who share a passion for nature and sustainability. I would love the opportunity to join your farm, contribute my energy, and learn from this experience. Please let me know if you have any availability or need more information from me. Looking forward to hearing from you! Best regards, Gabriel

I joined WWOOF because i want to see how people live on the other side of the world. When I’m with you, I'm looking forward to have a good mix of community, being around chill people, working and experiencing Australia's culture and nature. I hope that someday, I will leave and look back with a smile, remembering a happy time with happy people and tons of memories which remind me of my year in Australia. I think it's just a great opportunity to exchange, gain and share some Australian and German culture and experiences and just have a good time.
