We have an old 32 acre Pecan Farm in the Northern Rivers area of Australia. We are immersed in soil regeneration and have goats, pigs and cattle being managed on our farm. We also have a beautiful creek running through the property that we have slowly cleared of weeds and are planning out with native species. We have a separate two double bedroom and bathroom wing of the main house that is available in exchange for help managing the farm with us. We love cooking so expect to be nurtured with delicious home cooked food for the duration of your time with us.

We joined WWOOFing to experience Australia beyond tourism—working alongside locals, learning new skills, and immersing ourselves in rural life. With experience in farm sitting, animal care, and property maintenance, we’re eager to expand our knowledge while contributing to the places we visit. We love nature, hands-on work, and meeting new people. WWOOFing is the perfect way to exchange cultures, gain insight into sustainable farming, and truly connect with Australia.

I joined Wwoofing because I want to take the opportunity to learn more about the country, its culture, and the people in Australia. I find it exciting to experience life on an organic farm firsthand and to learn from the experiences of the people who live here. This type of journey, where I am provided with food and accommodation, is in my opinion a practical and enriching way to travel. Additionally, it is a great opportunity to immerse myself in the Australian way of life and get to know the country in an authentic way.

Beautiful 300 acre farm which we run wool sheep, alpaca, house cows, horses, chickens and bees. Although we've been farming all our lives, we've only been on this farm for a few years so we are still setting up. In addition to looking after the farm and animals we are growing vegetables and setting up an orchard to be self sufficient. We love our farming lifestyle and are always looking to enjoy and improve our farm. We are very interested in regenerative agriculture, low footprint systems, revegetation, water health, low to no chemicals, soil health and low stress stock handling. We love having people to stay that are interested in joining in and being a part of whats happening on the farm. We do have some huts for you to stay in or you're welcome to bring your own caravan, tent etc.

We want to experience different lifestyles and explore more of Australia. We really hope to communicate with different people, live in different places, and experience different cultures. We think that will free us from monotonous learning, meaningless work, and allow us to focus on our real interests in life and find our true passions.

We've decided to join the WWOOFing program in Australia because we’re eager to immerse ourselves in the culture, connect with locals, and learn about sustainable farming practices. As we travel, we want to experience Australia in a way that goes beyond traditional tourism, and WWOOFing offers the perfect opportunity to work alongside farmers, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to local communities. For both of us, this is also a chance to step outside our comfort zones and develop new skills that will be valuable in our personal and professional lives. Christoph, with his engineering background, is particularly excited about learning more about sustainable technologies and how they are applied in agriculture, while I (Kevin) look forward to broadening my understanding of organic farming and environmental conservation. We’re also looking forward to the chance to meet new people, exchange ideas, and create lasting memories while working in beautiful outdoor settings. Joining WWOOFing aligns perfectly with our values of sustainability, learning, and personal growth, and we’re excited for the adventure ahead!

My main reason for signing up is that I have worked indoors for most of my working life, and I really feel the need to do something closer to nature and with my hands. I miss being outdoors and having space and fresh air!

Ups already told in the text before. But I might add that i love learning new skills (no matter if it comes to cooking, gardening or construction work) and enjoy having some tea (or beer haha) in the evening together. I want to learn about your way of living and just enjoy the farm life that is so different from my life in a german city.
