We are a group of 4 families who run 3 properties all next door to each other around the Weir River. We are fortunate to live in such a beautiful area, with a mix of open grazing country running into brigalo timber and down into lightly forested river country. We are 40 mins from both Goondiwindi and Moonie. We have a fully seperate 4 bedroom house for you to stay in that has been recently renovated, with wifi and mobile service available. We also have a lot of diversity, with sheep, stud cattle, cropping, breeding and training horses, as well as cutting/camp-draft training amongst ourselves, there is something here to interest everybody.

I joined WWOOF because I am keen on learning more about the farming industry in Australia, and seeing more of Australia outside of the big cities. I have heard so many great things about WWOOFING across the world and I reckon that Australia would be a great place to start. I'm excited to have a unique new experience, and I love to learn new things.

Whilst we're re-building the property we offer tented accommodation circa 20 m from the house and facilities. I joined WWOOF to live a different kind of experience — more simple, real, and connected to people and nature. I want to meet new people, learn practical skills like gardening or small-scale farming, and discover how things are made with care and passion. It’s also a great way for me to practice English in a kind and welcoming environment, while being helpful. I’m motivated, kind, and eager to help. I’m ready to give my time, my energy, and a positive attitude to my hosts.

We have a passion for nature and sustainable living and are looking for exciting and educational experiences where we can not only grow as a family but also expand our knowledge and skills. Professionally, we have worked as project managers, but we also enjoy practical work and learning new things – whether it’s in gardening, crafts, or other tasks in nature.

I absolutely love living in the bush with my beautiful old kelpie, Marley. I live in a eco friendly, strawbale house. My home is surrounded by mature stringy bark eucalyptus trees, black wattle, tee trees and native banksia trees, as well as beautiful native wild flowers and orchids. There is a dam and other buildings on the land which borders the Otway State Forest. I need help in the organic vegetable garden, land and vegetation maintenance, the chickens, fire wood collection and diy. I'm friendly, open minded, easy going woman, who believes that nature and natural environments support better health and well-being. Please send me a message on my mobile, if you're interested.

I have been in Australia for a few months and really need to get out of the backpacker bubble/the city and want to experience the more tranquil Australia and engage with some warm people:) According to that, I'm really curious about farm live. I would like to learn as much as possible, gain some skills and see some hinterland.

I'm joining WWOOF because I want to learn about nature, farming, natural processes and I want to meet people with similar curiosities and passions! I've been an inner city dweller for the past 4 years and miss the connection to the magic of nature. WWOOF seems like a great opportunity to learn from people with abundant experience about things like flower farming or how to grow vegetables or take care of horses, whilst getting to experience life in different expressions. I'm keen to explore Aus in a new way!

We would like to gain experience in farming, looking after animals, and the maintenance of a working farm. We seek to develop our knowledge, get hands-on experience, and implement it on our farm in the future. We are very open-minded and enjoy meeting new and intriguing people.

I joined WWOOF because I am currently volunteering on a farm to extend my visa in Australia, and also because I genuinely enjoy helping people and nature. I’ve always felt a strong connection to the environment and a deep desire to contribute in meaningful ways. This feeling has been within me since I was a child, and WWOOF gives me the perfect opportunity to live out these values.

We've decided to join the WWOOFing program in Australia because we’re eager to immerse ourselves in the culture, connect with locals, and learn about sustainable farming practices. As we travel, we want to experience Australia in a way that goes beyond traditional tourism, and WWOOFing offers the perfect opportunity to work alongside farmers, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to local communities. For both of us, this is also a chance to step outside our comfort zones and develop new skills that will be valuable in our personal and professional lives. Christoph, with his engineering background, is particularly excited about learning more about sustainable technologies and how they are applied in agriculture, while I (Kevin) look forward to broadening my understanding of organic farming and environmental conservation. We’re also looking forward to the chance to meet new people, exchange ideas, and create lasting memories while working in beautiful outdoor settings. Joining WWOOFing aligns perfectly with our values of sustainability, learning, and personal growth, and we’re excited for the adventure ahead!

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
