I would like to gain hands-on experience in working on and maintaining a farm, and learn from others passionate about organic farming and permaculture. I am also excited to take a break from a more fast-paced, indoor, city lifestyle. I am looking forward to doing meaningful work, and helping and meeting like minded people.

Skills I Want to Learn:
I joined WWOOF because I am ready to experience new adventures away from home. WWOOF allows me to get to know the culture and the way of life of the people in Australia. My boyfriend lives on a farm with 40 cows and several thousand chickens. Sometimes I help out in the barn. I really enjoy working with the animals and doing other work on the farm. When I was a child, my grandfather had a small farm with sheep, horses, rabbits, cats and goats. Even back then, I used to go there once a week and spend time with the animals. That's why I can imagine working on a farm, but also in private households. I hope that I can get to know the local people better through WWOOF. I am very interested in the culture and way of life in other countries. I would therefore be particularly pleased to be able to experience their everyday life with my host. In my opinion, participating in WWOOF is a very good way to travel Australia, work there and create many valuable memories. I am looking forward to being a part of it very soon.

When my mother visited Japan as I was studying PhD there, she was impressed by the advanced agriculture with flourished rice harvests, premium fruits like shine muscat, and high-quality meats and seafoods. Given the fact that the agriculture in Vietnam has been ovelooked and neglected for decades because of the industrialization trend in manufacturing across the country, we feel concerned that it is not straightforward to get the sector back on track. Furthermore, when returning to Vietnam after my PhD, it is a big surprise to me that many agri-food imported from Australia is available in the market such as grapes, oranges, milk, etc., which would have been unrealistic before the pandemic. Additionally, as working in a rural hospital, I usually encounter many patients who work as farmers in a traditional way. As a result, their chief complaints are usually neck pain, back pain, and hand/knee pain as symptoms of spondylosis and osteoarthritis. While traveling with my mother will be a joyful and adventurous trip for us, I also want to explore more not only the advancement in healthcare but also the beauty of nature and the development of the agriculture in Australia. I hope those valuable experiences will bring me an innovative insight into the way of taking care of people and environment around us.

NB .  You will need your own transport  if you intend to come and stay at The property. Especially during the summer, which is fire season, so you need to be able to evacuate the property under your own steam, in case of emergency and if there is no-one is here. Please read the whole description before writing to me. 7.2 acre herbal farmlet. Growing a wide and diverse range of vegetables, herbs, and fruit. There are  solar panels,  a battery for electricity storage so we are 98 % of grid electricity wise , there is only rainwater & bore water on the property. Goals are self-sufficiency & off grid living. There are terraces and swales on the property, we are working on creating a larger food forest, an Olive Grove, and to extend the  fruit orchard which is  fairly well planted out now.

We’re a certified-organic farm in the process of full accreditation, located in Far North Queensland. Our farm started with a thriving microgreens business and is now expanding into a wide variety of seasonal inground crops. This is a vegetarian, non-smoking, and alcohol-free farm, focused on healthy living, community, and soil regeneration. We grow everything by hand—no tractors—using a mix of traditional techniques and the latest small-scale farming tools. We’re passionate about producing nutrient-dense, organic food for our local community and are always excited to share our knowledge and experience with others. If you're interested in real, hands-on growing and want to learn how to work with the soil rather than against it, we’d love to host you.

We joined WWOOF because we are planning a longer trip through Australia - we will probably stay in the country for six to nine months in total. In that time, we want to experience the country in a more meaningful way than just staying in hostels or holiday apartments. Of course, saving some money is also part of the reason, but even more, we´re exited about the opportunity to do volunteer work, learn new things, and take part in a different lifestyle than we are used to back home! We also hope to discover Australia from a local perspective through our hosts. Friends who did WWOOFing in Australia told us amazing stories and were truly inspired by their experiences. We would love to experience that too and make great memories!

I left Sydney to get away from the city; I arrived into Byron and started applying for work; Had an interview for a housekeeping job at a hostel; Realised I really didn't want to do that and just wished to be out in the Bush, living the simple life, enjoying what Australia truly has to offer. WWOOF! Lightbulb moment. It is amazing to see so many hosts and I'd love to help out over winter.

We joined WWOOF to further our experience in Organic farming while meeting like minded people and making meaningful connections. We are keen to exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences with people and volunteer our time in exchange. As we are full time traveling Australia, WWOOF is a great avenue to veer off the beaten track and experience farms all over Australia while keeping travel costs down.

I joined this site because I realized that this was the easiest way to get in touch with farms. I hope that thanks to WWOOF I'll be able to find a farm where I can learn how it works and become an integral part of it. I grew up in a house with a big garden. My mother, a gardener, always made sure we had beautiful vegetables, and I was always happy to help her. Today, I'm keen to learn what it's like to work on a farm, and to have the opportunity to discover practices that I'm not familiar with in agro-ecology. I can't wait to find a place to help on the farm.

I joined WWOOF because I need to complete my last three months of regional work to qualify for the third year of working holiday visa (subclass 417). I've already done half of my days at a nursery farm, so I know what to expect and am ready to dive back into the experience.

I have a small farm in WA's SouthWest which has established fruit trees, cows, chickens and 2 homes plus a granny flat - so accomodation is flexible. We are on rain water, so use it wisely and use river water for the toilets - so they dont sparkle like most lavatories. There is plenty of places for growing more veg but I have gotten behind in the maintenance of the raised beds. So I would like help here and infinishing some small amount of landscaping. It is beautiful and quiet with a large variety of birds on the property. There is also a strong focus on health and fitness to balance the workload.
