We joined WWOOFing to experience Australia beyond tourism—working alongside locals, learning new skills, and immersing ourselves in rural life. With experience in farm sitting, animal care, and property maintenance, we’re eager to expand our knowledge while contributing to the places we visit. We love nature, hands-on work, and meeting new people. WWOOFing is the perfect way to exchange cultures, gain insight into sustainable farming, and truly connect with Australia.

I discovered woofing in France and loved the experience! I really enjoyed doing it again now that I’m in Australia, to continue learning, sharing and discover new stories, projects, way of life in a farming environment. Thinking maybe one day I might have my own farm as well, who knows?

I have joined WWOOF as my wife (Kimberley) and I would love to learn as much as we can from our hosts. We both love to work hard both in day to day life and on projects, finding this very rewarding. We are very interested and have reasonable knowledge in preserving produce, cheese making, cooking, gardening and sausage making. Kim also has experience in the winemaking industry. As WWOOFers we would be very keen to learn more about farming animals (both for food and milk), general farming procedures- including grazing routines, fencing etc, the process of humanly processing our animals and butchery and all the little things specific to each hosts area.

I want to meet people, experience local culture and help. If it helps me to get closer to animals then I’m even more motivated ! Volunteer is a solution to do all that and it helps me with the money, as I don’t have a lot.

Boshack Outback Eco Farm is 250 acres, 90 minutes from Perth City, Western Australia. We have animals, permaculture and off grid (solar powered, with hot showers & toilets). Set beside a large freshwater lake, we drink our own spring water. Our Accommodation is simple ,warm in winter and cool in summer but very unique, with lakeside & bush view permanent cabins. This is a very peaceful & tranquil place, a great place to relax away from the city. We have mainly school camps & families visiting us regularly.

Until now, I’ve mostly been doing fruit picking jobs where there were always other Japanese people around. I’ve spent the past two years picking blueberries and grapes, and while I’ve gotten used to the work, I started to feel like life in Australia was becoming a bit routine and lacking in new challenges. That’s why I decided to register here — I’m looking for a different kind of experience. Through WWOOF, I hope to gain a variety of new experiences and make the most of my time in Australia.

We joined WWOOF because we want to work on a farm/ranch for about 3-4 weeks while our tourist stay in Australia. Its an experience we dont want to miss. We hope to learn something about the culture, the way of life, the people, the nature and animals. We would like to experience something outside of our office jobs and simply have some variety to our life here in Germany.

Until now we have always liked our previous experiences as WWOOFER and we want to explore the Australian organic farm as well, and in addition there is the possibility that these days as volunteers are counted for the 88 days of our WHV

I'm looking for new experiences that can also contribute to extend my visa and love learning new skills of any kind so I thought that joining WWOOF would be the best choice!!

I have helped with farm work in various areas of Japan. I would like to use this experience to volunteer in Australia as well. Also, this is my first time living in Australia, I would like to learn more about the Australian culture and the Australian way of life. Living directly with local people is also the best opportunity for me to get more practice in speaking English. Please tell me about it!
