Located in a beautiful secluded valley within the mountains in Upper Orara, 13 kms from Coffs Harbour- a 100 acre paradise with a stunning 6 bedroom, 2 storey owner-built (me) mud-brick home including an adjoining 2 bedroom flat. A new B & B separate building under construction, only one bedroom ready now. A creek & dam stocked with Silver Perch fish, 11 cattle, 1 Quarter Horse. 4 miniature pigs (3 pregnant), 16 chickens, lots of baby chicks.More cattle coming. The farm has been organic for 37 years and has much potential for growing organic fruit & vegetables with an established garden. Volunteering includes tending animals, gardening, weeding, working with horse (for experienced riders only), fencing, planting out trees, establishing garden beds, maintaining salt water pool, tractor work (only for experienced and licensed). Good manners, good attitude to the philosophy of WWOOFing is essential. (Which basically means we help each other and learn better ways to live on this planet.) Experienced in farm work would be helpful. Any carpenters, plumbers or mechanics are very welcome. I have been told many times that I am the best WWOOFer cook/chef hostess, I like to spoil my WWOOFers with nutritious and very yummy food. Organic beef grown here on the farm and fish caught from the dam on the farm or in the sea. (Fun fishing lessons on the beach.) The best pure unlimited spring water to drink, bathe in and water the gardens. 15 mins to beautiful beaches for fishing, swimming, whale watching etc

Our property has 88 ha with plenty of wildlife all year long. A short 2 hours drive from Sydney and you are surrounded by the World Heritage-listed Wollemi National Park. In regards to the Flood Recovery Project, we are able to validate 2nd or 3rd Working Holiday Visas. On our property, you will find a 2000 sqm garden, which we are planning to extend in the future. We are also participating in a few different projects, which protect the native wildlife of Australia. For example: we have planted more than 200 native trees on our property. Our next project will be to install water stations, which are created specifically for the Wildlife of Australia.

I joined WWOOF because I am currently volunteering on a farm to extend my visa in Australia, and also because I genuinely enjoy helping people and nature. I’ve always felt a strong connection to the environment and a deep desire to contribute in meaningful ways. This feeling has been within me since I was a child, and WWOOF gives me the perfect opportunity to live out these values.

Why I’m interested in agriculture is my older sister having her own organic farm, I want to help her in the future. But unfortunately I have no idea about agriculture.

I am excited to be moving to Australia and I am eager to immerse myself in the local culture and environment. My goal for the first three months is to volunteer, allowing me the opportunity to meet locals, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn more about Australia’s unique flora and fauna. Volunteering is a great way for me to get involved in the community while also gaining a deeper understanding of the natural landscapes that make Australia so special.

We would like to join woofing because we think it's a great way to discover a country's culture and to really meet people by living with them for a time. It's also a good way to really practice our english. And we love the idea of the exchange, helping someone in his farm and having food an accommodation

We joined WWOOF to meet new people and learning new lifestyles. We are very curious people and we're truly passionate about traveling. We have a lot of energy to help you in your tasks. We also hope buildings connections and open up opportunities ! We've got crazy dreams and we're so invested in making them come true. In one hand, we love the concept of woofing, give a hand in return for a place to stay. Marco's sister recommended us woofing because she loved the experience and after sharing her story with us, we got even more motivated !

Because there are many classroom lectures at university, we want to learn more about agriculture by experiencing the work of farmers. We both have experience working with farmers in Japan, but we also want to know about overseas farmers. If you accept us as wwoofers, we would like to work as a part of you! We are especially interested in growing vegetables and fruits, as well as raising livestock. We'd also like to communicate a lot and learn from you about practical farming skills and thoughts on how to be environmentally friendly and sustainable.
