It was the way I found to help me travel to Asia and help people and on the same time discover new places and cultures, see the real places and not the tourist areas, connect with locals. As I plan to find a job in Australia doing woofing can help me to have a place while I search for a job and keep myself active and working helping people and seeing the non tourist part of Australia.

As a child I was always very afraid of the sea, because it seemed so big and mysterious to me. Nevertheless, as a child I was often seen in front of the TV when my favorite series "H20 Suddenly Mermaid" was on. I was so attracted to the beautiful surroundings of Australia and the sea that it constantly pushed me into this world. My interest for the history of Australia was also aroused in school when we talked about the Aborigines and the Commonwealth. This had a great impact on me and without really realizing it myself, I have developed an enthusiasm for Australia and its nature. Over the years, I have also overcome my fear and I have noticed how mysterious and beautiful the world of nature and animals is. Life has begun for me since then, outside my comfort zone. Another source of insprition was my aunt. When she was younger she did a Work & Travel year and told me a lot about it. This has inspired me to be able to travel and work at the same time, in a country that fascinates me. I am aware that also difficult situations might arise during my stay in Australia, but I am sure that my ambitions will help me to overcome them and to never forget the focus on my goal. I have also saved money, agreed to improve my language skills and I am looking forward to meet new people and their cultures. Nothing is more valuable than the experience you gain, because it cannot be taken away from you. I am totally excited to meet new international friends, experience Australia's fasctinating nature and to get to know everyday life in Australia. This time might also give me some inspiration for my future career path. I would also write a travel diary during the months I spend in Australia so that this time will be remembered forever and I can help others and to give them a chance to grow. "Home is not a place. Home is where your heart is." With kind regards from Germany

I would like to obtain a wine expert certification this year, so I want to study wine. Since I have over a month before I begin my new job, I’m interested in doing a farm stay to experience a different lifestyle, meet new people, and learn something new.

I recently purchased a small home in rural Japan and I am looking to acquire the skills necessary in order to live off the grid, free from the constraints of capitalism. I aim to learn homesteading techniques through hands on experience, taught by the people who know best: the ones who are living out my dream! I am mainly interested in permaculture, alternative energy, the repurposing of discarded items, and seeing other degrowth techniques in action.

I heard about Wwoofing very recently. And my first reaction was “But no! It exists? Why didn't I know about it?" I want to do Wwoofing to have the opportunity to experiment with agriculture, on a larger scale than the 12 square meters of my garden. To meet new people, a new culture, another way of life.

We enshrine meditation and mindful, sustainable living as part of our family life. As our aim is to grow a meditation retreat encompassing a yurt, glamping tents, a large meditation hall and flourishing food gardens, we are seeking to share the practice of conscious living and relating as a community with anyone who comes to help us along the way.

Because I'm very interested in the lifestyle and I would love to learn more, while helping out hosts! Also, the way of traveling suits me. I like to discover the rural side of a country and since I'm currently on a working holiday visa in Australia, joining the Australian WWOOFF is a must for me 🙂

I enjoy travelling around Australia and woofing adds to the experience. I drive a van that has been converted to a camper and look forward to getting involved with farms - this time along the East coast, Although I am in my 70's I expect to go on making compost for sometime before I become compost myself.

I am joining this volunteer site because I want to give back to the community and make a positive impact on those in need. As a nurse, I have always been passionate about helping others, and I believe volunteering allows me to extend that care and support in different settings. I am especially drawn to opportunities that align with my interests in nature and working, as I feel these areas resonate with my background and personal values. Volunteering will also give me the chance to grow personally and professionally while connecting with like-minded individuals who share my commitment to making the world a better place.

I joined the WWOOF community because I think it would be a rewarding way to learn about sustainable farming practices while connecting with like-minded people. It's an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, share knowledge, and contribute to local environments. I also want to share with my hosts and learn about them, their lives, and discuss their experiences.
