I am interested in learning more about sustainable and organic farming, and I would like to connect with like-minded individuals who share this interest. Additionally, I am hoping to gain new and authentic experiences, as well as learn about the culture and customs of Australia. Ideally, I would love to work with animals, but I am open to any kind of work.

I am motivated to do WWOOFing because I want to gain new skills in farm work, improve my English, and experience authentic Australian culture. I believe this experience will help me grow personally and give me a better chance of finding farm jobs eligible for the 88 days of my Working Holiday Visa.

We became aware of WWOOF through social media while planning our gab year. And because we believe that it is not always about the money, but also about experiences and lerning from each other, we decided to join WWOOF. We are doing our year abroad in Australia to get to know the country and the people, to improve our language skills and for the experience itself. We also hope to get inspired for our future life. We know that sustanability plays a major role in todays society and agriculture even more so. Fore us, WWOOF combines all the above aspects: Learning about culture and language, as well as sustainable agricluture.

We're looking for a double bed for the first few weeks of our trip. WWOOFing is a great way to meet Australians and learn more about the country. It's also a way to save money to extend our trip.

I joined WWOOF to step away from city life and reconnect with the land through real, grounded experiences. I’m curious about sustainable living and eager to learn new skills by helping out in meaningful ways. Volunteering gives me the chance to meet people with different stories, share knowledge, and contribute to something tangible. I value hard work, community, and the simple joy of being outdoors with purpose.

I joined WWOOF because I want to spend more time in nature, learn about farm life, and meet people who share a love for simple, sustainable living. I believe working on a farm is not just about helping out, but also about learning, exchanging cultures, and enjoying the beauty of life’s basics. After years in an office and on construction sites, I’m excited to swap my desk for fresh air, green fields, and meaningful work.

I joined WWOOF because I want to have my own farm one day and would like to learn from people who have experience.  I also think it's a great way to be able to help those who have already made the decision to have a lifestyle that allows you to see the fruits of your labor.  I've been to a lot of different places but volunteering in Guatemala building schools and teaching English showed me how a lifestyle of hard work and helping others is by far the most rewarding.

I’m joining WWOOF because for the past month I’ve been struggling to figure out what kind of work I want to do while I’ve been living in the big cities. Farm work has been in the back of my mind since I got here and after doing some research, signing up to WWOOF looks like my best chance of getting some work that I would enjoy.

Initially, going to Australia wasn't my main objective; what I wanted above all was to make a documentary, a film about an enriching experience I could have had abroad. Then, almost two years ago, I was involved in a serious car accident that almost killed me. This event taught me the importance of living life to the full, with no regrets, whatever the outcome. After that accident, my vision changed radically: I decided I had to leave. Lacking the budget, I opted for a visa that would enable me to work on site and finance my project. Through this adventure, my aim is to discover a new world, in particular wwoofing, and explore all its riches.

We are a small family owned and operated farm, located in the Southwest of Western Australia. We produce both meat and eggs, with sustainable and regenerative practices and sell all of our produce direct to customers through farmers markets which we attend weekly. We have many different animals including pigs, chickens, cows, sheep and 8 working dogs to name only the main ones. We love meeting new people and we are actually moving to a new farm soon too so there’s lots going on.

Kookaburra Community is an establishing community on a lovely 4 acre bush block on Jaara Country, near Daylesford. Currently one family resides at the community, Mum (39), Son (4) and Jack Russell dog. The intention is to have  other people join the community and WWOOFers visit. The veggie gardens are establishing, with our humanure and our enthusiasm to grow as much food as possible during our short growing season. When we’re not growing food, we are repairing the surrounding bush by removing white fella weeds. Culture and connection is the most important part of this community, firstly acknowledging First Nations culture, traditional to the lands where we live. We regularly cook on the fire and share songs and dance in honour of the ancestors of the land and our own. This is truly a wonderful place to learn about Aboriginal culture and history, whilst living comfortably in the dwellings surrounded by bush.

Hello, I'm a 50 y/o male from NZ. I'm working in WA in mining and am looking for accommodation for short periods in conjunction with the mine work cycle. My background is in Farming and Earthmoving so this brings a wide range of skills that may be of some use. I'm not one to sit around while on break, I'd rather be busy helping out on a project or whatever you could use a hand with. I'm a father to 4 boys so am quite used to children and enjoy interacting with them. I've only just joined Wwoofing as it seemed a fun way to meet new people and like the idea of a barter arrangement. Regards Simon

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
