I want to experience the world like the guy in Into the Wild—just with a bit more company along the way. Basically, I want to see and do as much as possible. I love trying new things, even if it means climbing a mountain and regretting it the whole way up—just to watch the sunrise from a slightly different angle. I also enjoy helping others and working on things that I can look back on and feel proud of.

We are looking for accommodation and work to support us through our journey on the big lap around Australia. This is a good opportunity to meet locals and get experience in organic farming, and get to know all kinds of animals even better. We dream of having our own organic garden some day so this the perfect place to learn how its really done.

Why do we keep woofing? Because every experience teaches us something new. Whether it’s a farming technique, a cultural tradition, or just a great conversation with our hosts, woofing constantly enriches our lives. Plus, it's a fun way to give back while learning how to live more sustainably.

As a single mum, I am hoping to use my child-free time to travel around NSW (and possibly further), having authentic travel/work experiences. I WWOOFed as a young adult in Scotland and Portugal and loved the journey so it will hopefully bring back happy memories! I'm stuck in suburbia for now but have the goal of living more rurally and sustainably. I really need to gain more skills to have the life I'm dreaming of, so will be happy to help out in any way I can and will enjoy learning as I go.

We live on a 500 acre bushland community overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We are building a stone and timber house, grow food and flowers and also run a certified organic tea tree farm. We are fully off grid and about 30 min drive from the nearest town and beach and 1 hour South of Byron Bay. There is very limited public transport in this area.

We joined wwoof because it looks like a great way to settle down and to experience a life that we wouldn’t have done before our journey. Also this platform seems to be reliable with people commited to share their experience against some help. Also it seem to fit more with our willings than HelpX.

There are two reasons why I want to participate in WWOOF. First, I want to experience something unique to Australia. I want to have many experiences in nature that I can’t have in Japan. A friend of mine also did WWOOF in Australia and told me that it was a great experience, where she learned a lot, so I want to enjoy WWOOF in the same way. Second, I want to improve my English skills by communicating a lot with my hosts. After finishing language school and starting farm work, I’ve been speaking Japanese a lot, and I feel like my English hasn’t improved much. Since I’m in Australia, I want to speak in English and learn more about life in Australia.

I am joining wwoof as it aligns with my values and provides good learning opportunities in the organic/alternative agriculture space. Going forward I am looking for full time employment in a market garden or simmilar. Wwoofing provides interesting connections and a good landing pad in Australia.

Violet Hill Dahlias is a 25 acre mainly natural bush block with three bedroom home situated in Boomlambayte NSW. I am surrounded by national park and are 10 mins from Myall Lakes, 8 mins from the lovely township of Buladelah and 25 mins from some breathtaking surfing beaches such as Seal Rocks. Newcastle is 1 hr 15 mins away. I am in the process of setting up a flower growing business and need help with propagation, planting, watering and looking after and expanding my collection of dahlias. A lot of the work will be making compost and preparing garden beds for planting so the work will be manual to a degree.  However if the work is not to your liking I will understand and try to find tasks that are enjoyable. I also need some help with vegetation management (cutting down and removing pest plants from the property). Accommodation will be in the main home in a room with Verandah access.

I have been a member of woof Australia on and off for the last ten years, and have thoroughly enjoyed all of the people and wondered places, now it's time to share that again with my second heart, Corazon!! I love the mindset of a love exchange over money, learning about farming practices, the animals, people, and the beauty of nature and community. Nothing bad to say about my experiences to date and will continue as a member as long as I'm in Oz. This 2 year membership will expire and by then Corazon and I will be living and loving overseas, where the conscious are abundant, not scattered. It's a great way to connect with community and I love to learn and add positivity and value, from my learned experiences this far, my time on this land.

We joined WOOFing because we love to travel and thru WWOOFing we are able to experience the life from a different perspective compared to normal tourists. This means that we are able to help Hosts with sustainable projects, live like a citizen and learn about agricultural processes. Besides that we can finance our stay in Australia.

I've been here in Australia for nine months and I've explored this country a lot but now I'd like to experience something different and be more in touch with nature. I would like to complete the 88 days required for the visa

To Live I am staying at an organic farm to learn more about the food I put into my body, to try making it, to experience it, and to find harmony between nature and humans, nature and me, and self and other.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
