Come and escape the world on our bush farm haven. We are a fully off grid 25 acre bush farm, adopting permaculture, biodynamic, syntropic principles to our growing. In 2021, our family settled in this 25acre property of pure bushland located at Horse Camp, a short drive from Gin Gin. Step by step, we have chipped away, creating a liveable space where we can be completely sustainable living off and working with the land. You can enjoy sitting by the campfire at night gazing up at the beautiful night sky, followed by the many clear sunny days. Every day is a peaceful day at Horse Camp. Come and meet our 2 boofy dogs, 3 cats and our 20+ pet chooks. We have a permaculture food forest garden providing organic produce; vegetables, herbs and the occasional fruit, along with our happy flock of chooks supplying fresh eggs daily. Let us teach you what we've learnt so far, and perhaps you may be able to share some of your knowledge and creative ideas too. We look forward to our paths crossing on this life adventure!

I have an urge to break free right now and see what else there is in this world. Also I need to leave my comfort zone and especially my home town during winter time. Plus I enjoy being and working outdoors, when its warm enough anyway.

I’m drawn to WWOOFing because many hosts focus on sustainable land management, permaculture, and wildlife-friendly farming, all of which would give me valuable experience for wildlife conservation roles. It’s also a cost-effective way to travel, as food and accommodation are provided, which will help stretch my budget while I settle in and explore job options. I see it as a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build practical outdoor skills, which would make me more competitive for roles like bush regeneration and other conservation work. The chance to network with like-minded individuals who are passionate about sustainability and land management is another big draw, as it could open up new opportunities. Lastly, I enjoy spending time in nature and being out in the field, so working on farms and properties in rural areas seems like something I’d really enjoy.

We live just outside a quaint little town in the North West of Tasmania. Mountain ranges hugging stunning coast lines and a lovely community to top it off. We have two properties. One that we live on 3 mins from the ocean which is a 3 acre permaculture property with mini goats, ducks, chooks orchards, veggies etc. And one 20 mins away that sits on 60 acres.

I joined WWOOF because I want to experience authentic Australian farm life, learn new skills, and meet like-minded people. I love the idea of working in nature, being part of a community, and learning more about sustainable living. This experience will allow me to step away from city life and gain practical knowledge while immersing myself in local culture. I also see this as a great opportunity to improve my English in a real-world setting. I’m excited to work hard, learn, and share great moments with my hosts!

I am excited to be moving to Australia and I am eager to immerse myself in the local culture and environment. My goal for the first three months is to volunteer, allowing me the opportunity to meet locals, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn more about Australia’s unique flora and fauna. Volunteering is a great way for me to get involved in the community while also gaining a deeper understanding of the natural landscapes that make Australia so special.

I currently volunteer at a woodland restoration charity and it was a friend there who highly recommended WWOOF. For the last couple years I have been keen to explore and travel around Australia. WWOOF combines so many aspects I like, from meeting new people, travel and also sustainable practices. My dad taught me and my siblings from a young age to be environmentally aware and more recently I have been trying to take a more active role in doing good for our planet. I think it is so important to appreciate what we have, seeing overconsumption and the destruction of such beautiful places is heart wrenching. I am really interesting in learning more about ecology in everyday lives and being outdoors surrounded by it. I think WWOOF is an amazing place to meet people who have a real passion for the world around us and who I hope to learn a lot from. I am really excited to see where WWOOF might take me, as well as meet hosts and fellow travellers!

We are currently full and not taking any more people at the moment, thank you:) Welcome to our beautiful 26 acre property in the Byron Hinterland. It is a 7-minute drive to Mullumbimby and 25 minutes to local beaches. We are offering a self-contained, open-plan studio. We are looking for help managing the upkeep of our property and helping us recover from the bushfires by replanting native trees, weeding, mulching, pruning, re-building fences, as well as mowing, brush cutting, chainsawing and basic regen work, land clearing and other repairs that need to be done. We grow some of our food here so caring for that as well, while enjoying the lovely taste of organic Australian fruits and veggies. We are located in an area affected by natural disasters and are in need of help getting back on track because of the damage caused by Cyclone Alfred, your time here will be counted as the 88 days towards your second year visa. We hold weekly and monthly meditation groups at our place which you are most welcome to attend.

I have thought about WWOOFing in Australia for some time but the opportunity has only just arrived. My place gets pretty cold in the winter so its a good time to get away. I don't have animals but would like to learn some husbandry, particularly goats and pigs. I'd also like to learn about growing grains and pulses.

Because I already received so much love in Australia and grew as a person, I want to give something back to the country I fell in love with. For me life is all about giving and helping each other out. I love the community aspect and I heard from friends that WWOOFing is a great way to work to gain experiences and friends. I volunteered in social organisations and it gave me so much peace that I do something I love whilst receiving so much gratitude. It keeps my heart full. Additionally, I feel privileged to travel the world it’s my pleasure to help out wherever I can.
