The reason I wanted to join WWOOF is because I want to learn how to live life more sustainably and responsibly. As time passes, I’ve noticed that I am becoming more and more dependent on materialistic and superficial things. Therefore, WWOOF is the prime opportunity for me to learn how to appreciate what truly matters in life. Furthermore, I’ve always had an appreciation of the agriculture and farming industry, since my household also took part in strawberry farming, I understand how difficult it is to run a farm. Which is why I would like to lend a hand when possible to those who need help, in exchange for the opportunity to meet new people and learn from their way of life. I hope to become a more environmentally responsible person after my experiences with WWOOF, as well as gain a more profound understanding and appreciation of the Australian organic farming industry.

We joined WWOOF to experience the farm work and help as much as we could the farmer's business. We are interested in meeting farmers and living the experience with them. It will also allow us as backpackers to explore the areas and cities around Australia. We love to gain knowledge and practice on farms thus educating ourselves about their job tasks.

I enjoy working with plants and animals and have done lots of wwoofing when I was in my twenties and met many interesting people. I like to help other people in making their projects flourish.

I joined wwoof because now would be the perfect time for me to engage in the work on a farm, before uni starts around April. I want to see what actual farm work is like and how you can make it as nature friendly as possible. I love meeting new people and woofing is just right for that as well :). I hope I can learn a lot about nature and how to life sustainable, wwoofing just sounds amazing to me!

Gday hosts! My name is Huon, I am 23 with my partner Jess who is 29. I am into surfing, diving and being outside! Myself and my partner have a big passion in living a low impact life eating organic food and connecting with the people around us! My background is in civil construction and concreting. Through my work I’ve done everything from creating wetland systems, concrete jetty’s, road projects, small estates and bulk earthworks. As I’ve grown up always been super involved with working in the garden and being out in the bush. I always have the drive to learn more about living within nature and the skills that go alongside that! I have joined wwoof so that I can gain many more experiences that grow my skills, quality relationships with others and outlook on life. Very excited for what the future holds. I want to learn about life and culture in Australia. I want to improve my English and engage in cultural exchange by living with people from Australia.

I am eager to participate in WWOOFing to learn from expertise and experience. I am particularly interested in learning about agriculture practices, acquiring new outdoor skills, and connect with local people and I believe that WWOOFing will provide me with valuable opportunities to do so. I believe my skills and work ethic will make me a great contribution to any WWOOFing project. I am a hard worker, I am eager to learn new things, and I am always willing to help others.

To get a more diverse view of Australia than just working in the trades, and to complete my 88 days to be eligible for a second working holiday visa. I am most of the way through and just need a few more weeks.

I joined WWOOF as I feel it would be positive experience and an interesting way to explore Australia whilst helping the agricultural side of this beautiful country. I enjoy a challenge and being in a rural environment and working with my hands and body therefore feel WWOOFing would be well suited to me and I’m in a place where I am able to do this at this moment in time.

Aligned with my interest, by joining WWOOF I hope that I’ll get an opportunity to live and work on a farm, providing an authentic experience of the local culture and way of life. I discovered it recently and became too excited to try it myself. I think WWOOFing is a wonderful way to merge my interest in travel with hands-on experiences on farms around the world. I love animals and the nature. I like to work physically. I hope to get new animals and new humans as a friend:) besides I know how hard it can be(even if it's the dream of life) to work every day on a farm and thats why I want to help farmers with their work.

I really stumbled across WWOOF on my own as I was looking for volunteer/short term working experiences on farms across Australia. My brother and a few close friends are currently road tripping around Australia and I heard they were picking up work and cool experiences as they went. Naturally I went googling as that sounded so great and I was tied to Brisbane for the short term. I checked with a friend who had heard good things so decided I should sign up! I plan to spend 1-2 months (around December, January and February) similarly travelling and as mentioned above, trying out the farming lifestyle.
