I want to learn about life and culture in Australia. I want to improve my English and engage in cultural exchange by living with people from Australia.

I am eager to participate in WWOOFing to learn from expertise and experience. I am particularly interested in learning about agriculture practices, acquiring new outdoor skills, and connect with local people and I believe that WWOOFing will provide me with valuable opportunities to do so. I believe my skills and work ethic will make me a great contribution to any WWOOFing project. I am a hard worker, I am eager to learn new things, and I am always willing to help others.

To get a more diverse view of Australia than just working in the trades, and to complete my 88 days to be eligible for a second working holiday visa. I am most of the way through and just need a few more weeks.

I joined WWOOF as I feel it would be positive experience and an interesting way to explore Australia whilst helping the agricultural side of this beautiful country. I enjoy a challenge and being in a rural environment and working with my hands and body therefore feel WWOOFing would be well suited to me and I’m in a place where I am able to do this at this moment in time.

Aligned with my interest, by joining WWOOF I hope that I’ll get an opportunity to live and work on a farm, providing an authentic experience of the local culture and way of life. I discovered it recently and became too excited to try it myself. I think WWOOFing is a wonderful way to merge my interest in travel with hands-on experiences on farms around the world. Hope it will be an exciting journey, where not only gain valuable agricultural skills but also forge connections with like-minded individuals and contribute to sustainable farming practices. WWOOF community offers a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and cultivate a deeper understanding of our planet. I love animals and the nature. I like to work physically. I hope to get new animals and new humans as a friend:) besides I know how hard it can be(even if it's the dream of life) to work every day on a farm and thats why I want to help farmers with their work.

I really stumbled across WWOOF on my own as I was looking for volunteer/short term working experiences on farms across Australia. My brother and a few close friends are currently road tripping around Australia and I heard they were picking up work and cool experiences as they went. Naturally I went googling as that sounded so great and I was tied to Brisbane for the short term. I checked with a friend who had heard good things so decided I should sign up! I plan to spend 1-2 months (around December, January and February) similarly travelling and as mentioned above, trying out the farming lifestyle.

I would like to discover lots of different people and environments and I think wwoof is the best thing for that. I think it's a friendly place and there is no pressure like in business.

I joined WWOOF to gain more knowledge on sustainable living and experience how people from around the world implement organic farming practices. I'm also very interested in seeing how ecovillages and intentional communities work in order to someday join one or start my own!

I work on my farm with my family and would like to adopt the idea of organic farming for the future. I found WWOOF when I was thinking that it would be nice to experience organic farming while traveling overseas. I'm visiting my friend in New Zealand and later found out that New Zealand requires a work visa to do WWOOF, so I decided to do WWOOF in Australia. I will be staying in Sydney from 16 December 2023.

I've always wanted to live in other country and experience different life style. It's difficult to stay at a hotel for a long time because I don't have much money. However, if I join WWOOF, I don't need to worry about staying fee that's why I decided to join WWOOF. I want to absorb the culture, skills of agriculture and communication with various people that have different cultural background. I want to stay and work in English-speaking country. Australia is the nearest English-speaking country that's easy to go. In the guesthouse I work, I meet many Australian people. To talk with them more fluently, II think it's important to go to Australia.

I’m from a small town in Florida in the United States and I come from a long line of potato farmers. We still own a large amount of land, but for the majority of my life its been rented to another farmer to use. I am joining WWOOF because I want to work on regenerative farms to learn techniques and someday begin farming on my familys land again. I also want to experience the culture of Australia and build connections with the family that hosts me.

I bacame a member of WWOOF bacause of my interest in living on the country side and spending time around animals. I'm very interested in getting educated in farming and especially organic farming, since that's something that is very close to the heart. Fruit farms are not very common in Sweden so learning more about Australian fruit farming would be amazing. Since I’m a woman from a small town Perth is way too big of a city for me and I’m longing to get out and experience the Australian country side. It would be a lovely experience working on a farm while being educated.

I joined WWOOF  so that I could make the most of my experience abroad. I would like to try many new things and want to explore Australia as possible as I can. l am interested in learning about life on Australian Organic& Permaculture farms. I am a very open-minded, positive and energetic person and would love to make new friends and explore this beautiful country.

After we graduated college we decided to travel around Australia and so far we've been to Lennox Head, Sydney, and Melbourne. After spending a lot of time in cities, we wanted to get back to nature and loved the idea of working on organic farms in Tasmania. We hope to learn about organic farming techniques so we know what to expect when we start our own farm one day!

As the global population is projected to reach 10 billion by 2050, coupled with climate change issues, the world is currently facing serious food sustainability and security challenges. As a food science and technology enthusiast, I am aware that Australia is focused on food sustainability, security and circular economy. Hence, I decided to embark on a working holiday in Australia to learn from the local farmers about what they are currently doing to protect and preserve the farmlands of our world.

I’ve just arrived in Australia and I thought, wwooofing is great to meet new people and pick up some new skills along the way. I‘d like to learn how to be self sustained. Saving on food and accommodations also plays into it. But I’m also fascinated by the idea of meeting people, I‘d probably never meet otherwise.
