I live on a small holding at Mount Berryman which is close to Ipswich and the beautiful Darling Downs, and a 50 minute drive to the centre of Brisbane and Toowoomba I would love you to stay and experience living in an Australian home, whilst at the same time developing my permaculture/organic smallholding and caring for my beautiful Belgian Shepherd Dogs, ages ranging from puppy to 15 years. While studying naturopathy at university, I've realized that I would like to further understand plants and their healing properties by having hands-on knowledge, rather than just learning from my textbooks. I am interested to learn any new skills whether it be with plants or with animals or even helping with property maintenance.  This is my first time trying Wwoofing so I have no expectations, just looking forward to helping, learning and building relationships with the hosts.

We became aware of WWOOF through social media while planning our gab year. And because we believe that it is not always about the money, but also about experiences and lerning from each other, we decided to join WWOOF. We are doing our year abroad in Australia to get to know the country and the people, to improve our language skills and for the experience itself. We also hope to get inspired for our future life. We know that sustanability plays a major role in todays society and agriculture even more so. Fore us, WWOOF combines all the above aspects: Learning about culture and language, as well as sustainable agricluture.

I've come to this quite late in life (57), but feel very comfortable to be joining now. This winter and spring (2025), I intend driving north from Tasmania (possibly beyond Cairns) and engaging in the sharing and acquisition of new knowledge and skills, and hopefully some memorable experiences of new friendships.

We're a 2 properties land one 16 acres big and the other 50 acres. On both these neighbouring properties live a community of friendly people who live in Yurts, Tepees, Tents and Caravans in harmony with nature and help making this forest into a vegetable and fruits farm using permaculture and syntropic farming. We like to do maintenance work and make this place more comfortable for current and future visitors. We also do some flooding recovery work and prepare the land for potential future flooding. We grow organic food and to education around living on the land.

I think it's a great opportunity to experience while learning, and it might be helpful to someone. Also, I think that being able to meet many different people will have a good influence on each other and enhance my life in Australia.

I joined WWOOF because I’ve always been curious about farm life in Australia. I love being outdoors, working with animals, and living close to nature. This felt like a great opportunity to experience that in an authentic way before heading back to the Netherlands. I also really enjoy meeting new people, exchanging stories, and learning about different cultures/ways of life. I believe WWOOF offers a unique chance to connect, contribute, and gain hands-on experience.

It’s important to take care of the Earth! I love learning new concepts and things with a good work ethic. I like to meet new people. At the moment, I don't speak English well. So it’s a great opportunity for me to improve it and enjoy it without pressure.

We are a family owned & operated cattle station in remote, outback WA. Located in the Gascoyne region (about 250km from Meekatharra), on just shy of 1 million acres. With the Gascoyne River the heart of the property, there is so much beautiful country to explore. Join us and help out by feeding animals, some gardening, watering lawns, cooking & maybe help with some stock work. We are also currently in the process of preparing for station stay business, so there would be the odd job like painting and renovating to be done. Our cattle are grazed on natural rangelands and are chemical free. We as a family like to be as self sufficient and enjoy sharing our skills with others.
