We are an intergenerational family run cattle operation 400km south of Katherine in the Northern Territory. The property is a 280,000ha operation running in excess of 20,000 head of beef cattle. We breed, backround and fatten the livestock using sustainable grazing operations (mainly rotational grazing and wet season spelling). We focus on low stress stock handling techniques to allow cattle to flow through yards and keep people safe who are working with them. To this purpose we have an extensive laneway network that allows stock to be moved by one person at a slow speed. We are not a fan of chemical use and restrict our usage to bare minimums required (primarily government mandated applications such as to cross stock tick lines). We feed a lot of mineral stock lick for the health and wellbeing of our livestock who we have been carefully selecting genetics for many years to focus on quiet polled livestock (no or reduced horns). We are able to take wwoofers without vehicles as we can pick you up from our local roadhouse (Dunmurra roadhouse). We can assist with teaching you English however the better your English language the more you will be able to enjoy the experience. Accommodation is private single rooms with private bathroom (normally airconditioned). We have a cook for most of the year however that may depend on what time of the year you come to spend with us. The landscape here is mostly flat, dry country normally referred to as Savanah forest land. We have a broad array of native wildlife on the property including wild dogs, birds and marsupials.

We are an Oyster Farm on Moreton Island. We catch, grow and sell the Rock oyster. The farm is in a National and Marine Park and we generate our own solar power and catch rainwater. Access to Moreton island is via North Stradbroke Island in our boat. We travel to Stradbroke Island on a Thrusday or Friday each week. Work includes culling oysters, building infrastructure on the water leases, harvesting, and land based maintenance. It would be good if you could swim. We also have a retail store on the farm selling all types of fresh seafood. You can go kayaking, snorkelling, swimming in your spare time. Studio apartment accom for 1-2 people. We are showcasing land diversification methodologies that range from agroforestry systems producing high-value tropical foods, to blended native–food production models that integrate cultural and ecological benefits, through to pure rainforest regeneration zones designed to restore biodiversity to its fullest extent. Our restoration work is centred on enhancing biodiversity, creating wildlife corridors for local fauna, and reconnecting the ancient rainforest to some of the most diverse and productive mangrove ecosystems in the world. To achieve this, we’re planting over 360,000 native trees — creating shade, shelter, and ecological resilience for generations to come. Volunteers here become part of a living laboratory for regenerative land use — learning hands-on skills in tropical reforestation, agroforestry management, native plant care, and ecological monitoring. Every day in the field contributes to a model that can be replicated across the tropics, proving that conservation, food security, and community livelihoods can grow together.

We're both looking for a new experience in a foreign country, where we can learn about new cultures and languages. We're drawn to the idea of being surrounded by nature, and we think that WWOOF is a perfect project for us.

I joined WWOOF because I've always wanted to work with soil and plants and learn how to live off the land. It's something I have postponed for years but am finally acting on 🙂

We live on a 2 ¼ acre property. This is a private house and garden with fruit trees, vegetable gardens, landscaped ornamental borders and a patch of old growth eucalypts, plus an antique furniture restoration workshop in the process of being set up. We are both semi-retired and moved here from the UK in 2023. The gardens here have been a little neglected for several years but have great potential. We have both worked in a wide variety of jobs, mostly self-employed. We have both worked as vegetarian cooks and eat well, mostly organic food. Rick has worked for 20 years as a sports coach at a high level and for 35 years in the antiques trade as a restorer and conserver and has been involved with wwoof since 1975. Tric has a degree in psychology and worked in the Australian health service. She also a post grad degree in botanical conservation and worked for botanical gardens. Tric has run a small certified organic stock farm and worked extensively in organic horticulture. Particularly in research of medicinal herb crops. She has also been involved with the “Deep Ecology” movement since its beginnings. Our wwoofers tend to find us interesting and relaxed and reasonably well behaved.

Patchwork Jungle is a repurposed primary school in a small country township. Our Patch, set on one hectare is a mixed enterprise including herb nursery, market garden, berry and mixed fruit orchard as well as a coffee shop used to help value add with jams, cakes, juices, and hot foods. Close to the Murtoa Stick Shed, Little desert,  Grampians National Park, home of Halls Gap Zoo, and the Silo Art Trail make us a great destination to include in your travels, particularly if you have your own transport. We use the schoolroom as our central hub, with a number of out-buildings as extended living such as bedrooms, laundry etc and the cafe/shop is in two 'school portable' style buildings brought in recently.

We joined WWOOF because we want more than just “travel photos”, we want to roll up our sleeves, learn new skills, and live real Australian life. Clémence brings her energy, jokes, and love for sports, while Beverly brings her curiosity, good food, and passion for animals (she might spoil your pets with cuddles!). We believe that sharing cultures, helping out, and laughing together is the best way to make unforgettable memories. Plus, we heard kangaroos don’t hire assistants, so we had to try WWOOF instead!

We live on 5 acres in gorgeous Mapleton, with an orchard and vegetable garden. Our land has landscaped gardens, several lovely break out areas with decks and picturesque views to enjoy the glory of being immersed in nature, surrounded by trees and the sound of birds by day and frogs by night :). .

I’m travelling and would love to see how people live in a more sustainable and unique way. I want to have a big property of my own one day growing food, restoring native habitat, hosting community events & keen to learn through your experiences!

We have 6 acre, non commercial, dry grown cherry and truffle farm with an extensive and productive garden around the house, in the inner Adelaide Hills. Our house is adjacent to a small town (Uraidla) which is on a weekday bus service to Adelaide. Adelaide CBD is about 30mins by car from here. The edges of the property are scrub which we are gradually restoring with selective weeding and some planting.so some of the work is farm work and some native vegetation restoration. We have 3 small friendly dogs and 2 cats who stay in the house and 6 chooks.

Little Luscious Farm is an agritourism business set in the rolling green hills of Mirboo, South Gippsland, less than 2hrs from Melbourne, and 10 mins from the charming town of Mirboo North, and about 40 minutes to the entrance of Wilson's Prom. We are establishing a chemical-free flower farm, accommodation, and events space, with a "Low Dig, Low Waste, Low Cost" philosophy. We belive that you can life a luscious life without it costing the earth. We have one existing guest cottage, next to the main house, which would suit a couple or two friends. A car is essential for getting around our area, but we do have an EV charger.

The farm I’m living on wanted to have the security of the wwoofing insurance. I would like to also invite other wwoofers to come and join me here to practice living this way and host them at the cottage we are living in.

Our goal is to learn as much about home steading, gardening, and animal care as possible, as our goal is to design and build our own self-sufficient home and gardens. We love travelling and both have a keen interest to explore Australia, meet new like-minded people and expand our knowledge and understanding about these topics.

Black Eagle Farm is a small farming enterprise based on a mix of regenerative, conservation and organic farming principles. It is on beautifull Dja Dja Wurrung country, whose lands were never ceded, located on the northern foothills of the Great Dividing Range in the rolling hills and landscapes of Sutton Grange and Sedgwick with the backdrop of Mt Alexander which is the headwaters of the Axe Creek. The house and guest cottage overlook rolling paddocks and hills with the Axe Creek meandering through the valley.

Hi we are Sunshine Syntropics we invite to host you to come and experience our 30 Acres of abundant rich pocket of earth. Established fruit orchards and gardens nestled away in our rainforest hidden valley located in West Woombye on the Sunshine Coast. We have our own private Waterfall and plenty of spread out campsites for privacy. We have a shared kitchen with open fire facilities that host an incredibly rich community of likeminded earthy souls who share a passion of good food and good company.

I joined WWoof because I think it is the best way to get in touch with local people, and get to know their culture, way of live. I also love working outside, and I'd be glad to help in the fields, with the animals or anything where I could be useful. I enjoy traveling, but I think the best way to understand a country is by staying with host for quite some time.
