When I go back to Korea, I want to do an animal shelter and want to tell, teach people about animal rights. That’s the reason why I have to learn how to take care of animals.

The town that I grew up in includes tons of conservation land and is also surrounded by many small, sustainable-practice farms. I worked on two of these farms during my four summer breaks in college. I was drawn to these roles because I wanted to work outside; I knew that I loved challenging physical activity based on a lifetime of near constant athletics and sports participation; and I was inspired to learn more about agriculture and land preservation following a childhood spent playing outside in vast conservation land. I also felt inspired by one of my grandmothers, who grew up on a farm and lived her life very connected to her garden, houseplants, and general environmental surroundings. I absolutely loved my time on these farms, spending three summers as a farmhand and one summer as a teacher naturalist/farm educator. As a farmhand especially, I was part of a very small team which meant extremely long hours and big workloads. I took this in stride and felt that I thrived with the high level of physical labor and activity. I also cherished the community aspect of farming – getting to know my fellow farmhands while working together, and then also interacting with the people who deeply appreciated what we grew. While I have maintained connections to the local agricultural scene since graduating college, I have deeply missed my time actually working on farms. I am now really looking forward to combining my interests in exploration and travel with the opportunity to return to farming through the WWOOF program!

I am currently travelling around Australia for three months. I have spent 5 weeks in Tasmania visiting one of my best friends and am currently travelling along the east coast with my boyfriend, who has just come over to join me in my adventures. After a month travelling with him, I will spend two last weeks in Australia on my own and would love to make the most of that time to have a WWOOFing experience. I have always wanted to learn more about farming and working in nature, and WWOOF seems like the perfect opportunity to do so, as well as learning about Australian culture at the same time and meeting locals in the most genuine way.

I joined WWOOF through an organization I came with here to Australia (AIFS) and would love to gain experience on living on Australian Organic & Permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically. In every country and region there are different methods or traditions to grow your products and as the weather conditions are changing now more than ever, I would love to get as much input as possible on the different ways in gardening/ farming/ animal care.

I needed a change in my life so I decided to quit my job and start over. The first step for me was to go abroad and improve my english skills. I asked myself, what could be the best way to do it and how. In addition to prepare myself I took private lessons with an english teacher. Finally I approached my dream and since the 9th of January I am abroad to improve my english skills and therefore I am looking for a lovely host to support me. I´ve started my journey for 3 days in New York and now Im in New Orleans where I support a family with daily chores. I really love to explore the city and get in touch with the locals and its never get boring. Im leaving the USA the 1st April and continue my journey to Australia. Im going to be from the 3rd April till the 30th June in Sydney. If anyone have spaces or would love to support please do not hesitate to contact me. I dont bite hahah. Im kidding. I love to travel around the world , encounter new cultures, meet people and learn new skills 🙂 Best wishes Lars

I love nature and often travel abroad. I have also done volunteer work overseas. This is my first time in Australia and I would like to learn about culture and English from local people. I work in restaurants and Thai massage in Japan .

In 2021 I redid a vintage caravan and hoping to adventure around Australia in early 2024 to pick up new skills, meet beautiful people and learn more about this country. My dream future involves a ride on mower, growing my own food and having the skills to care for the country I am on. I'm hoping that I can develop some of the skills to put me on this path through WWOOFing!

I would like to take up WWOOFing to travel Australia, I am based in Perth at the moment I love communities of all shapes & sizes & I guess I see this as a new one. Looking forward to the people I will meet along the way. Short stays, long stays, isolation no problem. I love my own company too. I have a car only to travel so would require accommodation.

I decided to sign up to WWOOF because of my interest in healthy food and products. I would love to learn more about the origin of them and learn more about sustainable agriculture in the process. I am coming to Australia to work and travel and when I was looking for work opportunities I found WWOOF. I know it's on voluntary basis, but I think that learning new skills and gaining new experiences are way more valuable. If I get to work with fun and likeminded people, help other people out and at the same time gain new knowledge then that would be perfect for me!

I am particularly interested in working on an organic farm because of my passion for nature, animals and sustainnability. Like I mentioned I am a avid gardener and I believe that working on a farm will allow me to combine my love for nature with my desire to work hard and and learn new skills.

It's an awesome concept, do some work, tending what needs to be done then watch it flourish... sleep soundly, knowing that you are part of the solution, not the problem. WWOOFing will me give the opportunity to learn new skills plus be part of growth within the community and individually. I simply want to be part of planting them, nurture them, then eat them! (preferably not animal's!) With all the madness on the planet right now, let's get back to the basics, slow it down, nature, nurture…

I hope to learn new skills working with you, so I can improve my knowledge about it. I am very interested in learning from you. I used to do this type of work in my country and I am willing to continue working on it because I seek to live the wild experience from here by learning from the surrounding farmers. I love working with animals and got some experience working on it. I really want to learn more about sustainability and the work behind the farm, that is something really important to me and I think I can fulfill the tasks, I am really excited about the idea and I hope to hear from you soon

I seek balance in my life and for that I would like to learn more about permaculture and similar practices that focus sustainability and community living. I was born on an organic WWOOF farm in New Zealand, so I understand the ethos and hope this platform will connect me with the right people. I hope that I will be able to make a positive contribution to your projects and develop my experience along the way.

I want to experience a more relaxed countryside to Australia than employment, but would also like to complete my 88 days by giving back. I am hardworking and gain new experiences.

I wwoofed in Denmark in 2012 and had an amazing experience. I also worked as a farm apprentice in the Hudson Valley of New York, so I want to keep exploring my love of agriculture in my new country. I was to keep learning and meet more people who do agricultural and are building great things.
