ズバリ、お金があまりないからです。 私は大学で英語を学んでいたのにも関わらず、大学生の期間に海外に行ったことがありませんでした。しかし、せっかく英語を学んできたのに大学生の期間に海外にいかないのはもったいないなと思い、旅行することに決めました。けれど所詮学生であるため、持ってるお金はたかが知れていて、オーストラリアの方が日本よりも物価も高く、お金はないけれどワーホリは別にしたくないなと考えていた所、たまたまWWOOFの存在を見つけて、WWOOFは私のような旅行者とホストがwin-winになれる素晴らしい制度だなと思い、参加することにしました。 Honestly, it's because I don't have much money. Even though I studied English at university, I had never traveled abroad during my university years. However, I decided to travel abroad because I thought it would be a waste not to go abroad during my university years even though I had spent so much time studying English. However, since I am a student after all, I only have a limited amount of money, and the prices in Australia are higher than in Japan, so I was thinking that even though I didn't have much money, I didn't want to do a working holiday, and then I happened to find WWOOF. I thought WWOOF was a great system where travelers like me and hosts could have a win-win situation, so I decided to participate.

I joined WWOOF to meet people on my travels while embracing the opportunity to learn about different ways of living and farming more sustainably and to spend time connecting with nature.

In the past three years. A lot have changed in my life and I want to travel and think. I don't currently work, so I want to save money and volunteer in exchange for free accommodation and food.

By joining WWOOFing Australia, I hope to learn about Australian people, culture and lifestyle. Apart from that, I would like to gain experiences on working on a farm and learning methods of agriculture and planting. I would like to care for animals and feed them as well.

For me, being in Australia is a great opportunity to discover new landscapes, animals, culture, ways of living, working and of course speaking English. That's why I joined WWOOF, it gives me all these opportunities at once! I'm very excited to help and exchange with you about all of this, especially to see how your working and speaking in english!

We have loved our wwoofing experience in New Zealand. For us it's simply one of the best ways to get in touch with locals from the countries we're travelling.

I joined WWOOF through American Institute of Foreign Studies (AIFS) and am interested in learning about life on Australian Organic & Permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically.

We like the flexibility and variety that WWOOF has to offer. We think it is a particularly great opportunity to connect with people and local communities. We hope to have as many new experiences as possible on our trip and we think WWOOF is the perfect way to do it. We want to learn new skills whilst enjoying what Australia has to offer!

I'm really keen to explore beautiful parts of the world, and WWOOFing seems like a great way to do so whilst learning new skills, meeting new people, and living a little cheaper!

We chose woofing because we think it’s great to be in direct contact with families living in the area, to learn more about their lifestyle, how they live... It’s also an easy way to learn English and meet new people. We would like to return from this experience with many good memories and we also hope to improve our English.

Having a 6 month break between my Conservation Biology bachelor and Honours post grad project. In my Honours I plan to focus on agro-ecology/natural capital or biocontrol agents on invasive weeds. Wanting to experience and learn different forms of regenerative agriculture to gain first hand experience in sustainable agriculture methods. I also just really enjoy working outside, especially when the work i'm doing is sustainable and helping the environment. I have experience working on farms, in aquaculture and bush regeneration / civil landscaping.

After 2 years of lockdown, 5 years of full time uni and a completed apprenticeship, we are taking a break from our study and city life in Melbourne to meet people, discover Australia and learn the land.

To travel with an emphasis on learning, giving back, connection to other people and improving the community. I enjoy alternative ways of travelling (as opposed to tourism) and find that Woofing and Workawaying allows me to better connect with the community around me and learn about the culture that surrounds me.

The reason why I wanna be a WWOOFer is that I’d like to have an opportunity to communicate with people in different cultures and I love farming and living with nature so much. It was very exciting and good experience that I spent time in the farm before with people who have various backgrounds, and I was glad to be friends with them. Now, I’ve worked in Tokyo,Japan as a salesman. Tokyo is the biggest city in Japan and I cannot have opportunities to feel nature. I think living with nature is very important for people. I love to learn about organic farming. As I wrote, the life in the farm gave me the knowledge of organic farming and I really enjoyed to stay there with warm host family and WWOOFers. This experience as a WWOOFer is one of the most important memories for me, so I hope to have a great time with you guys! Thank you.

I like animals and plants, and I would like to grow vegetables at home in the future, so I wanted to experience farming in order to study. I also have a longing for life in the countryside, so when I return to Japan, I would like to buy a house in the countryside and live there with my husband, cat, and vegetables.

I'm interested in learning about organic farm practices, meeting people from that community with similar outlooks, exchanging ideas and information. Woofing has always interested me since I saw a T V program on permaculture practices at a young age. After feeling exhausted from rush of city life in Sydney I want to return to the land, nature and reset my priorities.

I am currently looking for a job in Australia and before that I would like to find out more about Australian culture and life. I read about WWOOFing on the internet and really want to make new acquaintances and friends.
