It feels like the perfect opportunity to strengthen my connection to and understanding of the land and to learn as much as many areas and approaches as I can manage. It's always been something I wanted to do (either here or overseas) and circumstance has made right now the right time. I've been out of the workforce a while and I think WWOOFing would be an incredibly rewarding experience that would help me get some confidence back (self efficacy, hands on experience, social connection, learning to appreciate what my body can do) while also getting the chance to assist other people who share my values who are already living and working in the fields I want to be living and working in myself... Not to mention diving from the concrete of Melbourne head. first into the greens and browns I've been missing.

Give back to the local communities and learn about the lifestyle. Meet new people in small communities. We love wildlife so want to do our part to rebuild it in damaged areas.

We both would love to get to know the country and the locals and think that working on a farm is the best way to do that. By using the WWOOF platform we hope to support some sustainable and ecological efforts while we're here. From friends that have been here before we heard great things about the platform and the hosts 🙂

I wanted to join WEOOF to expand my knowledge of organic farming, connecting with country, meeting new people and spending time in nature. I love to travel and with WWOOF I think I will be able to put my current skills in horticulture, beekeeping and organic farming to good use.

I enjoy working hard outside, I particularly enjoying doing so with others and a shared goal. I like using my body, exerting energy and action in a practical way. I always want to be continually learning and relearning and gathering the skills and knowledge to be living authentically, in unison with nature, sustainably, creating a kind and vibrant life.

The reason why I try to do WWOOF is that I’d like to have an opportunity to stay with people in different culture and work in a farm. And I’d like to make friends who are from different countries and talk about different cultures.

I joined WWOOF as I would like to explore Australia and learn about its native wildlife from local communities. I would also like to learn about native customs and traditions, meet new people, and also feel like I am contributing something by working on the land. I would like to share Irish culture and folklore with new people, and make lasting connections.

Because I would like to have different new work experiences. In particular, I have been looking forward to working on farms here in Australia for years and I am very happy to finally do these experiences. I also think it's great that there are so many different options here. I would also be very interested in wine making, as well as working with animals. Since I want to have a large garden in which I grow my own vegetables for my later life, I am looking forward to acquiring new knowledge about the cultivation of different varieties. I am happy to be able to learn from professionals and to enjoy working in pleasant company. In addition, I find the principle of wwoofing great, to work and to get accommodation and food I find Socially a great thing. Maybe I will be in my later life even a wwoofing host, that would be great.

The work offered is very outdoors based which appeals to me, as well as it offers opportunities to learn new skills that I wouldn’t have the chance to learn in average jobs. I like the idea of being able to give back and help small communities at the same time and be able to meet interesting people.

Wwoofing is a great opportunity to get to know a real Australian lifestyle. Like how do people live and work here. What do they do when they have a day off and how do they spend their evenings. I really like to get in touch with locals and exchange stories about each other’s culture and thinking. Besides that I like to look into all kind of jobs and therefore it’s a great possibility to learn new skills or do things I’ve never done before. It’s a way to widen my knowledge and improve my language.

When I had an Australian wine for the first time, I was so impressed. So I want to study and know more about it. That is why I came to Australia. I want to sell the Australian wine in the future, because I want more Japanese people to drink and know Australian wine.I think joining wwoof will help me achieve that goal.

I need to find a place where I can confirm my 88 days. Currently I was able to work 6 months in Melbourne in the restaurant business as well as 1 and a half months in the north of Tasmania but I was not able to do my full 88 days. My visa ends at the end of May and it will be a failure for me if I cannot extend it without knowing Australia by wwoofing.

I'm looking to gain as much experience as I can in organic farming, growing and harvesting as I want to take my skills home with my and hopefully in the future have my own organic garden! I am looking to go back to University to do a course in plant biodiversity/wildlife conservation and this would give me great hands on experience of plants and conservation. I am also trying to see as much of Australia as I can and this seems like a great way to travel and gain new friends and skills!

I joined WWOOF with the intention of acquiring new skills, meeting new people, continuing to learn English, and immersing myself in the natural richness of this country. It's not just about the work experience for me; it's a journey of personal and cultural enrichment, embracing the diversity and beauty that this land has to offer.

I learned about the WWOOF organization from my bestie, and after hearing about her experience milking cows, I immediately became interested and wanted to experience farm life! I yearn for a life in nature, away from skyscrapers, away from the disturbance of electronic devices, wanting to empty and heal myself, and to feel the purest joy. Of course, I have also mentally prepared myself and have done some research and understanding of the farm's ecological environment. I am a very serious person when it comes to work and have a strong ability to learn. I believe I can quickly adapt to the farm environment and get the hang of farm work, helping everyone share the workload. For me, this is not only about learning a skill but also about having a completely different life experience, which is an indispensable part of life's journey. I believe that during this process, I will be able to clarify many things that are currently causing me anxiety, and learn to view problems and life from a completely new perspective. I also consider this as a great opportunity to experience the local customs and culture of Australia, to make new friends, and to work and play together. I would also be happy to share some Chinese customs with everyone, and if you're interested, I can even show off my cooking skills by preparing a few Chinese dishes, haha! In summary, I really hope to have this opportunity to become a member of WWOOF and to spend an unforgettable time with everyone.
