I joined WOOF because I think that for me, it is a very good opportunity to learn about this kind of lifestyle. Learn that we are part of a large and complex ecosystem, and how all the elements are related to each other. In any case, I get the feeling that learning this way of life and philosophy requires lifelong study and learning. Also, I have to say that one of my dreams life it is to start an agricultural project like this from the beginning. Obviously in the future, and I don't know where, But for now, my idea it is to learn as musch as possible. I hope of this experience to meet such value and conscious people. Learn this lifestyle and a great deal of techniques and processes involved on this agricultural methods. And for sure enjoy a lot! Thank you!

I'm looking to do some WWOOFing to save money and explore new parts of Australia. I have worked as a farm hand and physical labourer in the past back home in Canada. Throughout my travels I've learned that the best way to experience a new country is by spending time with locals, especially in rural areas. I'm hoping to experience life in rural Australia and get a feel for what the country is really like outside of the major cities. I'd also love to learn a little bit about farming, gardening, and sustainable living.

We would just really like an opportunity to try something new. To gain a new perspective and to give back to people who have given two strangers a chance. We just know we will thoroughly enjoy being a part of your farm & family and hope to learn as much from our hosts as they do about us.

As much as I love to travel, I am interested in how other people live. I also love animals and gardening, so I hope to get more experience in that area. I like the feeling of being around people and feeling at home, and I hope to find that at WOOFING. Being part of a family and actively participating in their day means a lot to me. I am convinced that WOOFING is one of the best ways to get to know locals and their culture.

I would like to meet new people and experience different ways of life, and hopefully get a chance to help with work and projects.   I also want to give back to the country that I am travelling in, and not just visit the big cities that all tourists go to. I would love to have a new experience and challenge doing something I’ve never done before and getting to spend time with interesting people in their home.

I'd like to get involved with rural life. Tree change. Studying horticulture looking to do a permaculture design course. Interested in soil stuff like hot compost and bio char, Nursery operations, starting seeds in the green house. Have grown mushrooms before too. Would be happy to stay somewhere longer term and happy to work a bit extra to increase your produce.

The goal is to have farming experience and practice English. I can have a better working holiday if I can speak English. I want to have an experience that I can't have in Japan. I want to get in touch with Australian nature and experience the rest of my life.

I worked on a biodynamic market garden for a year, helped set up regenerative grazing system on a partly bush property using pigs to regenerate pasture in place of heavy undergrowth. I owned a small farm and grew chemical free flowers to sell commercial for 3 years, also homesteaders on this property for 5 years had 5 cows, 14 sheep, countless chickens both egg birds and several batches of meat birds that were all moved on pasture in salitin style roller pens. Grew veggies and did heaps of preserving. Have a fair library of organic, biodynamic and permaculture books, have spent time nerding out on Korean natural farming methods. Very into local community food resilience, Really keen to get my hands back in the dirt and further expand my knowledge of small scale sustainable agriculture practices while helping others develop/maintain their dreams!

We would like to meet and collaborate with like minded people. Hayley and I grew up on the remote south coast of Western Australia and enjoyed home gardening, growing food and joining in with our small local communities. Given we are planning to tow our Tiny House around Australia, we are looking to continue working with soil and plants and animals to sustain our health and well-being whilst treading lightly on the earth. Another factor in wanting to join Willing Workers On Organic Farms is the Permaculture Design Course that I completed in Central Victoria with David Holmgren. David promotes living in community and organic growing so it is a natural choice for Hayley and I and our two young girls.

I joined WWOOF to expand & nourish my community. I hope to learn, grow, meet new people and expand my skills. I am local to Tasmania but I find it intriguing that there is still so much to see and learn, there seems to be adventure and a new or old friend around every corner.

I am generally very interested in agriculture, good food and healthy eating. I enjoy outdoor work, physical labor and working with animals. Therefore, I would like to get out of the daily routine for a while and work on a farm. To gain new experiences, see everyday life as a farmer and learn new things.

I hope to learn a lot through my Wwoofing experience in Australia - about life, the people and the culture, but also about agriculture and ecological farm work. I want to broaden my horizon and see how life is on the other side of the world.

We joined WWOOF because we like to help out and see the farm life. Something to remember when we are older. We want to have new contacts and skills when we leave Australia so Woofing is the perfect oppurtunity.

I decided to join WWOOF because I have lived in an island country all my life and wanted to see and experience more of the world. I think WWOOF gives me the opportunity to live and work on a farm with people from different cultures. Therefore, I would like to learn do things I have not been able to do before and expand my horizons, learning more about nurturing nature and growing my own food. I would also like to make friends from different countries and discuss cultural differences. I cannot speak English fluently, but I am studying hard.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
