My partner and I were really keen to see more of this beautiful country. So we purchased a van and have fit it out as a camper for our travels. After WWOOFing the first time, I was really keen to do it again one day, here in Australia or overseas. Since meeting my partner, I've got her excited on the idea of learning sustainable practices. We hope to learn how to grow beautiful healthy produce, learn some new skills and techniques and help better the land.

We joined WWOOF as a way to interact with locals and learn more about Australia in a more authentic way. We're ecstatic to work in exchange for accomodation and meals. Eventually we'll come around the Sunshine and Gold Coast as we've been wanting to try surfing!

I want to gain a variety of experiences because it is important to me. One of my dreams has been to work surrounded by nature. Opportunities to gain diverse experiences through volunteering have been scarce. I hope to use the skills and insights I gain here to benefit my future endeavors and make a meaningful impact.

WWOOF was highly recommended as a way to travel and meet interesting people whilst helping out to the best of our ability and learning new skills. We are hoping to learn more about Australia and share what we know too.

Super friendly, love a chat and interested to learn about you. Open to learning anything you have to offer that is legal! Great sense of humour. Honest, trustworthy, reliable. Looking to work with people of similar personalities.

During the winter month (which are not as good for painting business in switzerland) '24/'25 we travel to Australia with our two girls (4 and 6) for one more time. We would like to get in touch with local people, experience farm work and, whenever possible, integrate our kids in that! 🙂 We all love all kind of animals that live on a farm! 🙂

We would love to discover the Australian agricultural practices, very different from europe as we could see so far. We are specially interested in shearing as it is something we are familiar with on a small French goat farm, but we are curious about pretty much everything!

One day, a friend asked me if I would like to work in a farm. I am amazed at her recommendation. It opened my eyes to a different career future. She said only a small population on earth engaged in agriculture which however might be the most important industry. I realised agriculture was such a great and important career. As I have learned the usefulness of friends' advice, I want to take it seriously and think about it. WWOOF provides such a good opportunity to fulfil my dream and teach me more about farming, grazing and gardening. It provides me an opportunity to open a new door and view a new world. I see it is a chance to make friends and self-improvement. I believe it has a real impact to my future and help know the world of agriculture better.

On a recent family holiday, we spent a few days on a farm in Chiang Mai and I loved the peacefulness that a farm could offer, something that I can never experience in a city, no matter how far I "run". However, it was more like a staycation and we didn't get to do much farm work, so I hope that through WWOOF, I can experience what it's like to be on a REAL farm 🙂

I joined WWOOF because I know that I am destined to be in Australia and to contribute to the healing of the earth in a way that feels natural. I also work best in environments were people are emotionally intelligent and I feel that WWOOF in Australia is an environment that attracts such people. Further, I am coming from working in a corporate environment and I have seen how detrimental it can be and has been to my mental health. Without my mental health, I am not able to be the contributing human being that I deserve and desire to be. I feel that this environment, that this community, will allow me to work outside of the rigid and oppressive circumstances of the corporate world in a way that respects my humanity. Also, I have an avid interest in interpersonal communications. I thrive in astrospheres of creative expression and out-side-of the box thinking. This community seems to have plenty of that.

We already have good experience with this concept, because we did Wwoofing in the USA last year and had an amazing time. Since I have benn 14 years old I wanted to go to Australia. This organisation is the perfect way for me to not only learn about Australia but also meet new people and catch the real Australian vibe and not just the touristy stuff.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
