When I was 18, I spent a few weeks working in a wildlife rehabilitation center in South Africa and it was amazing. It has been too long since then and I am looking forward to immersing myself in a completely different environment to work with nature and (potentially) animals again. WWOOFing seems a great way to discover a new place; while working and learning about my surroundings and the people and hopefully making new friends along the way. I am looking to work for a few weeks in one place, explore the area, and continue to travel more of the country. I would love to work with or around animals, food and wine, or with ocean/lake/river related projects. However, I am broadly interested and open for other experiences. I'm not afraid of getting a bit dirty and although I do not have much experience in for example farming, I am looking to learn more.Ā  I generally learn fast.

I want to move around and meet people. I had a good experience with wwoofing with my daughter in 2006. Now I feel that I have time and skills to offer. It is a good way to see this beautiful country and I enjoy working in nature.

I enjoyed WWOOFing before so I joined again! Iā€™ve been to 3 farms before. Working in nature is very refreshing and Australia is so beautiful. Also I like to talk to new people around the world. My work as a WWOOFer: weeding, milking, collecting eggs, feeding animals, etc. **Iā€™m not suitable for heavy work. Thank you**

I joined WWOOF after being offered to do a small construction job with a WWOOF host. I will hopefully experience a different way of Australian living too, as I have been living in a large city for 6 months. I would like to face certain challenges like dealing with Australian wildlife and bush living. I love how even though I will be learning great things from the experience I also have the opportunity to give back to my WWOOF host by building a well needed structure for him.

We've had successful WWOOF experiences in France, caring for goats or donkeys, and we're willing to renew that sort of exciting and rewarding experience, as well as great Cultural Exchanges stays in New Zealand (one on a sheep farm and another repairing a building) . We fully embrace the wwoof philosophy and have enjoyed living with hosts, helping out, feeling useful, learning new skills, etc.

I want to have an organic garden when, eventually, I can afford to rent a house not an apartment! In my current place Iā€™m limited to window boxes and window sill saucers to grow things. WWOOFing would let me get some experience before committing. Basically, a win-win for both of us šŸ™‚

I joined WWOOF as I'd like to support some of these projects and get to know places that may be off the beaten track. I also understand that most of the initiatives here cannot survive without a helping hand from volunteers or a community effort.

I was wwoofing in Canada for two years and had the time of my life. I've learned so many new things like gardening, planting, taking care of animals, milking, harvesting, foraging and so so much more. I met lovely people who became dear friends for life. I love sharing stories, spend time with locals and learn about their cultures and lifes. I look forward to get experiences in Australia as well where nature and wildlife is so different šŸ™‚ I wish to collect more experiences in farm work because I would love to eat my homegrown food as well and maybe have my own donkeys and sheep on one point in my life... who knows šŸ™‚

We live on an old pastoral farm in SA. Our farm was established in 1850 by German settlers. The land has been used for grazing and growing wheat. We are working to restore the land essentially to use for growing native seeds, grape vines, a fruit orchard and vegetables. We also live on a river which we are currently regenerating with local native plants. We have a range of animals: 2 x Maremma sheep dogs Chickens Pig 2 parrots

I've covered most of my reasoning in the "About me" section but I chose WWOOFing over what I'd previously used overseas (Workaway) just to filter out all the non-farming volunteering hosts šŸ™‚

The reason why I joined wwoof this time is because I have always liked volunteer activities and it was fun to research wwoof. In addition, I would like to actively consult and work on my knowledge and wisdom while making use of my past volunteer activities and experience as a nurse. Through this volunteer work, I would like to learn a lot so that I can refer to it in my future work and activities, and connect it to my own growth.

I joined WWOOF in order to develop my skill set as I travel. I am flexible for work over June and July 2023 in Northern NSW and Southern Queensland. I am particularly interested in permaculture, native gardening and landscaping. I like to travel slowly and immerse myself in natural beauty. I hope to meet likeminded people who I can help realise their dream projects and formulate my own. Above all else I joined WWOOF to make real connections and great memories.

To gain new knowledge, skills and experience, meet new people and see new parts of the country. I hope to share my skills, experiences and knowledge in the process. I have been house/pet sitting while travelling, which is great but I am missing having work to get up for in the morning!
