I want to have my own small scale commercial farm but don't have any experience or desire to spend thousands on take courses. I joined this organisation to exchange my time and labour for knowledge and experience. I hope to make good contact and gain mentors in my local region.

It has been a long-life dream for me to visit Australia. Now that I just graduated (in New Zealand), it's the perfect time to finally come to Australia. Woofing is like the best way to meet new people, do some manual and meaningful work, while slowly discovering Australia. Also in France, I come from the country-side and I miss the nature and animals. I don't necesseraly want to have a career in agriculture, but I'd definitely love to get some experience in it. And I really appreciate the proximity that woofing brings. It's not just about working, it's about helping, exchanging knowledge and learning in general

We want to see Australia properly and not visit only tourist attractions. We believe that you'll learn best when interacting with locals. We want to be able to tell all kinds of different stories about the places where we've been and all the people we've met. We would love to create contacts and get new friends all around the world.

I experienced a three-day farm stay as a high school student on a school trip, and I will never forget the excitement I felt. I obtained my coveted working holiday visa, but I found out that a farm job is different from the farm stay I had previously experienced. At that time, my agent told me about WWOOF, and I want to interact with nature and animals and see the beautiful starry sky again.

After quitting my job, I had some free time, so I wanted to go with my wife to see how people live overseas. We chose WWOOF because we had always loved going on agricultural volunteer trips, and we wanted to experience farming in the natural environment of Australia. At the same time, we were also very interested in Australian food, so we wanted to try eating with the locals.

Before starting my studies, I decided to take a sabbatical year in order, among other things, to become a WWOOFer. It is a project that I have been maturing for a long time because working on an ecological farm around the world has always been a dream, so make it come true 😉 In addition, I want to learn more about fauna and flora in order to protect them!

Woofing is an enriching experience we wish to pursue for several reasons. First, we seek to reconnect with nature by working directly on organic farms. This will allow us to gain a concrete understanding of the challenges and rewards associated with sustainable agriculture. By participating in woofing, we also aim to acquire practical skills in gardening, permaculture, and farm management, while contributing to environmentally friendly projects. This lifestyle will enable us to discover new cultures and broaden our horizons by meeting people who share similar values.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
