We decided to join WWOOF because we wanted to immerse ourselves in the local culture, learn new skills, and give back while traveling. Coming from city life, we were eager to experience a more hands-on, sustainable way of living. We love the idea of helping out in exchange for knowledge, meaningful connections, and unforgettable experiences. WWOOF allows us to meet amazing people, discover different ways of living, and step out of our comfort zone. We enjoy the physical work, the fresh air, and the sense of accomplishment that comes with contributing to a project. Whether it’s gardening, house maintenance, or learning about sustainable farming, we’re always excited to get involved and grow from the experience. Looking forward to meeting more inspiring hosts and fellow travelers along the way! 🌿😊

I love traveling, meeting new people, helping out, and being physically active. I'm a nature and bird lover and want to learn more about the Australian wildlife from people who work outside every day. I would love to see a platypus in the wild. I'm looking for small organic farms with kind people.

I’m here in Australia with my partner Ethan. He is a kiwi from New Zealand and I am from Israel. We are here because we decided that as a couple from different countries Australia can be a good place to settle because Ethan can be here as long as he would like and my working holiday can last for three years. It will give us time to see how things are going and to make our relationship more official by partnership visa. We are looking for places that will make us feel at home and that we would like the surrounding as well. we are both experienced in horticulture and farming, Ethan have a creative mind, he knows a lot about building, fixing things and more.

We decided to join woofing to help us integrate more easily into Australian society while working. Indeed we are sociable and we like contact with people as well as discovering new cultures. We took a Working Holiday Visa in order to work. Through woofing we will be happy to be able to help families in their work and their daily life. Looking forward to meeting you soon 😉

I am very interested in learning about agriculture/farming in Australia. Some of my best memories have been spending hot summers outdoors in my Papaw’s garden, eating fresh fruits and playing with chickens! I would love the opportunity to work on Australian farms, learning about plants and hopefully playing with some sweet animals! Additionally, I love meeting new people and learning about new cultures and WWOOF is a great opportunity to immerse myself in Australian culture while simultaneously giving back to the community!

I have always been drawn towards giving back, whether that is helping people, animals and nature or the environment. I am particularly interesting in doing work within wildfire and flooding territories. My career aspiration is to become a firefighter. I hope to gain more experience and different skills through WWOOFing, and I am looking forward to meeting people and making long-lasting friendships from all over the world!

We joined WWOOF because we are looking for a unique experience in Australia, a country we’ve always dreamed of visiting. We want to immerse ourselves in its culture, traditions, and way of life, and we believe that doing this through nature and rural life is the best way to truly connect with the heart of the country. Growing up in the Basque countryside, surrounded by farms and animals, we’ve always had a deep appreciation for the natural world, and we’re excited to share that passion while learning from others. Through WWOOFing, we hope to learn new skills, exchange knowledge, and, above all, make new friends along the way. We believe that this hands-on experience will allow us to better understand Australia, its people, and its landscapes. In return, we look forward to contributing our knowledge and energy. We’re excited to live this adventure, explore the country, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Plus, what better way to experience a country than by working alongside locals in such a meaningful way?

Since some of my relatives lived abroad, I had several opportunities to travel overseas during my childhood. I even visited a farm in Australia. Seeing landscapes and experiencing atmospheres that I could never encounter in my own country was fascinating, and I enjoyed every trip. However, at the time, I couldn’t speak English at all, which made it difficult to fully understand the local culture and interact with the people there. That experience made me want to learn English someday so that I could communicate more with people from different countries. Later, as a working adult, I had the opportunity to study abroad in the U.S. for language learning. During my extended stay, I was able to immerse myself in the local culture, which became a truly unforgettable experience. It also strengthened my desire to live overseas again. This brought back memories of my childhood visit to the farm in Australia. I started thinking about how wonderful it would be to revisit that beautiful, nature-filled place now that I am in a different stage of life. That’s when I learned about WWOOF, a program that allows participants to stay on farms while experiencing life in Australia. Upon discovering this opportunity, I became eager to take part in it.

Farming Methods: Organic
Accommodation Type: Caravan
Our Hidden Valley property is a unique wildlife and natural bushland conservation sanctuary, set in a secluded valley of beautiful tall karri forest and only 5 km west of Denmark WA town centre.  We are a community of 10 households nestled in a peaceful landscape of tall karri forest and open paddock, with rich variety of birdlife and kangaroos and nature walks. Wake up to the sounds of birds and frogs in the valley, and breathe in the clean air of forest and sea. We grow our own organic veggies, fruit, hops and enjoy a balance of work, hobby farming and play.  We are close (15 minutes drive) to the stunning south coast beaches and Greens Pool, with nature walks on our property. We offer accommodation for a single or couple in a WWOOFers private caravan which is separate from the house and is under cover, dry, clean and cosy. No children or pets, and strictly non-smoking.

The reason I joined WWOOF is that we want to create a family in Australia first.I want to have a family-like relationship with my host family by helping with agriculture and living together. And I want to make my host family's place like a second house where I can go back anytime.Secondly, I want to spend time in a place rich in nature.I go to school by bus with many people every day and live a time-bound life, so I want to have a relaxing time with abundant nature.Third, I want to know the attractions of Australia that real Australians recommend. It's my first time going to Australia, and I can only gather information about Australian food and tourist attractions online.I would like you to tell me the recommended food and sightseeing spots from a local host family's point of view.I want to actually eat and go somewhere. If I'm going all the way to Australia, I want to have a different experience.I wanted to experience not only sightseeing but also the real life of Australians.

I aim to improve my English skills during my university life. For this purpose, I thought it would be effective to go abroad and interact with the local people. In addition to that, I am good at working in agriculture. I have been helping my grandmother work the fields since I was a little girl. I also love nature and interacting with animals, so I will do my best in my work.
