Belted Galloway cattle farm in the southern highlands. We milk these cows, too - they love to be patted. We also raise chickens for breeding and eggs, have a Permaculture veggie garden, and have just planted hazelnut trees. We are at our next stage of bushfire recovery having completed fencing and felling some trees. There are many tasks still to do even though it has rained and looks green. We need to expand the permaculture areas, constant weeding, pruning fruit trees, planting bare rooted vines and transplanting fruit trees. We also maintain a small wildlife reserve on part of the farm and look at grasses to make sure that the wombats we co-exist with have enough to eat. Volunteer tasks include feeding chickens, tending veggie garden, moving cattle to strip graze, milking cows (in non drought situations), weeding, collecting firewood, composting & worm farming. Accomodation for 2 within our home. Shared meals, all cook together. Mixed diet. Vegetarians & vegans catered for. Children b.a. No smoking on property. Initial stay 12-14 days. Longer stays negotiable.

54 acres, 5kms from Maldon. The property is picturesque with panoramic views, large rocky granite outcrops & a swimming hole, but very dry in summer. It adjoins the forest at the foot of Mt Tarrengower. I am in the process of regenerating large areas back to native bushland, have building projects, including finishing touches to my poured earth house and general farm work. I have clean accommodation & can adjust meals accordingly. I like showing people the many wonderful sights of the area & I enjoy cultural exchange. Can P/U in Castlemaine & Bendigo with prior notice. Maldon has a very artistic and creative community and I can play and teach the Harp.

I was engaged in agriculture throughout Japan. In this moment,I come to want to experience agriculture not only in Japan but also outside of Japan. So I felt that Australia was the best choice because of its proximity to Japan and relative safety. And I also like visiting abroad.I like to dive into unknown world.I want to communicate with people in different countries.

My friend Sebastian and I have always wanted to experience Australia in a more meaningful way—not just as tourists, but by truly connecting with locals and being part of everyday life. We’re both open-minded, curious, and excited to learn more about sustainability, farming, and the Australian way of life. WWOOFing feels like the perfect way to do that. We love working in nature, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures firsthand. This is more than just a trip for us—it’s a chance to learn new skills, contribute to local communities, and see a side of Australia that most travelers never get to experience. We’re looking forward to helping out, learning from hosts, and making unforgettable memories along the way.

My wife and I own and run a 5000 acre grazing property on the Western Downs in QLD. Predominantly sheep grazing. There is always plenty to do on the farm away from sheep work. We are no longer organically certified, still follow the principles and no chemicals are used.

We are so fortunate to live in paradise, high rainfall green pastures, nestled under magnificent mount Barrow. Usually once or twice a winter we’re treated to snow, adding a whole new element to our beautiful property. We proudly sit at our dining table and enjoy meals of all our own produce, from multiple vegetables to mouth watering beef. We have a closed in blueberry and raspberry enclosure ensuring our freezer is full and our cupboards stocked with preserves. We breed pedigree golden retrievers, black Angus cows, Birman cats, and light Sussex chooks go without saying, perfect entertainment for any animal lover. We have a permanent running creek, home for mountain trout and spectacular platypus who pop their delightful heads up every evening. Our house is quite large as our free range children have all left the nest. Leaving us with large empty bedrooms. Our wwoof guests are welcomed and treated as part of our family.

We are an intergenerational family run cattle operation 400km south of Katherine in the Northern Territory. The property is a 280,000ha operation running in excess of 20,000 head of beef cattle. We breed, backround and fatten the livestock using sustainable grazing operations (mainly rotational grazing and wet season spelling). We focus on low stress stock handling techniques to allow cattle to flow through yards and keep people safe who are working with them. To this purpose we have an extensive laneway network that allows stock to be moved by one person at a slow speed. We are not a fan of chemical use and restrict our usage to bare minimums required (primarily government mandated applications such as to cross stock tick lines). We feed a lot of mineral stock lick for the health and wellbeing of our livestock who we have been carefully selecting genetics for many years to focus on quiet polled livestock (no or reduced horns). We are able to take wwoofers without vehicles as we can pick you up from our local roadhouse (Dunmurra roadhouse). We can assist with teaching you English however the better your English language the more you will be able to enjoy the experience. Accommodation is private single rooms with private bathroom (normally airconditioned). We have a cook for most of the year however that may depend on what time of the year you come to spend with us. The landscape here is mostly flat, dry country normally referred to as Savanah forest land. We have a broad array of native wildlife on the property including wild dogs, birds and marsupials.

We are an Oyster Farm on Moreton Island. We catch, grow and sell the Rock oyster. The farm is in a National and Marine Park and we generate our own solar power and catch rainwater. Access to Moreton island is via North Stradbroke Island in our boat. We travel to Stradbroke Island on a Thrusday or Friday each week. Work includes culling oysters, building infrastructure on the water leases, harvesting, and land based maintenance. It would be good if you could swim. We also have a retail store on the farm selling all types of fresh seafood. You can go kayaking, snorkelling, swimming in your spare time. Studio apartment accom for 1-2 people. No children Food supplied for you to cook in your accommodation. Lunch with us while working. We will share our meals a few times a week if we are cooking a big roast and would love to try foods you may like to cook. Smoking outside. Prefer longer stays, neg after 1 week.

3.5 acre property being set up to run along permaculture principles. We have been here since 2018 and have spent 7 years establishing an orchard with a variety of fruit and nut trees suited to the subtropics. Currently we grow herbs and vegetables for personal consumption and have some poultry (ducks and chickens) for eggs and to assist with pest and weed control. We have a small flock of sheep in the back paddock to control the pasture that backs onto wildlife habitat down near the dam which is stocked with fish and visited by local wildlife (kangaroos, spoonbills, ibis, herons, native ducks and marsh frogs).

We have moved! We are now in Wadeville, (NSW), and we are helping others to LEARN TO BUILD TINY HOMES (YURTS). We are looking for strong and willing volunteers to help us in our yard, simple carpentry, gardening, yard work etc. Learn to build Tiny Homes when possible. We will be happy to train you on how to assemble a yurt/kit when we have a project on going. Or discuss the methodology on building yurts (Our home is a yurt). There are many jobs to do on our properties. While some jobs maybe mundane, we will try to include some varieties of work to make your stay worthwhile

Located in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest, our 527-acre property is on a mission to transform an old organic banana farm into a thriving, multi-layered landscape that restores nature, feeds communities, and inspires change. We are showcasing land diversification methodologies that range from agroforestry systems producing high-value tropical foods, to blended native–food production models that integrate cultural and ecological benefits, through to pure rainforest regeneration zones designed to restore biodiversity to its fullest extent. Our restoration work is centred on enhancing biodiversity, creating wildlife corridors for local fauna, and reconnecting the ancient rainforest to some of the most diverse and productive mangrove ecosystems in the world. To achieve this, we’re planting over 360,000 native trees — creating shade, shelter, and ecological resilience for generations to come. Volunteers here become part of a living laboratory for regenerative land use — learning hands-on skills in tropical reforestation, agroforestry management, native plant care, and ecological monitoring. Every day in the field contributes to a model that can be replicated across the tropics, proving that conservation, food security, and community livelihoods can grow together.
