In my gap year I would like to travel and I think WWOOFing is a perfect opportunity to get to know the everyday life in a country and do something I will probably never do again in my life. By WWOOFing I hope to meet new people and make new experiences.

or two months in late spring and early summer of 2023 I’m taking my younger brother Rex (20) on a trip to show him the joys of wwoofing. Rex is 19. He enjoys Reading, listening to music, cooking and gardening. He hopes to gain some experience and knowledge in organic farming. He is gentle and hardworking. We would love to stop by your place and share some time together, contribute to your projects and learn as much as possible on the way. We both are easygoing people who are hardworking, patient, reliable, honest and a keen learners.

The break before graduating with my masters I used all of my saving to backpack around Australia and I loved it. When I found out that I could use my skills in school to travel and build my resume and portfolio and was a hard to not join.

Hello, we hope you visit us at Che Sara Sara Chalets. 180 acres of mostly beautiful bushland and forest on the Frankland River, 20 mins north-east of Walpole, Western Australia. We have a productive large garden, lots of natives as well as ornamental plants, a big vegetable patch, a small fruit orchard, and a small avocado orchard. We also have chickens, ducks, and cows and love incorporating animal manure, compost, worms, and mulch produced on the property to create a lush environment.

My goal is to discover Australia over the long term but I love new experiences and more sedentary phases of travel. . My way of traveling therefore alternates between times of work in the fields, times of discovery of the country and times like woofing where we can meet people and have opportunities to work and participate in new activities. As I'am curious by nature, this network is a good opportunity for me.

I joined WWOOF to connect with like-minded people, learn more about sustainable living, and gain hands-on experience in organic farming. I also need to complete specified workdays to support my visa requirements. I hope to exchange skills, contribute to your farm, and immerse myself in a meaningful lifestyle while exploring Australia’s beautiful landscapes and cultures.

Patchwork Jungle is a repurposed primary school in a small country township. Our Patch, set on one hectare is a mixed enterprise including herb nursery, market garden, berry and mixed fruit orchard as well as a coffee shop used to help value add with jams, cakes, juices, and hot foods. Close to the Murtoa Stick Shed, Little desert,  Grampians National Park, home of Halls Gap Zoo, and the Silo Art Trail make us a great destination to include in your travels, particularly if you have your own transport. We use the schoolroom as our central hub, with a number of out-buildings as extended living such as bedrooms, laundry etc and the cafe/shop is in two 'school portable' style buildings brought in recently.

J'ai choisi le woofing pour l'expérience humaine. Le concept est génial : rencontrer de vrais locaux et pouvoir les aider en échange d'hospitalité et de moments conviviaux.

I want to join WWOOFing because I believe it’s the best way to experience Australia in a meaningful way. Traveling is not just about visiting places for me; it’s about connecting with people, learning new skills, and immersing myself in different lifestyles. I love the idea of giving a helping hand in exchange for a unique cultural experience. Whether it’s working outdoors, taking care of animals, or learning about sustainable living, I’m always eager to contribute and grow. This journey is also an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, challenge myself, and create unforgettable memories with great people. I look forward to meeting amazing hosts and sharing good times together 🙂

Taking care of living beings, especially animals, is close to my heart. Leaving my epileptic cat in France was heartbreaking for me. Having grown up in the southwest of France, surrounded by animals in the countryside, I'm in awe of the beauty of nature in all its forms. In our big house in the countryside there is always gardening work to do. I often helped my father prune trees, cut wood for the winter and store it. Cut the grass and take care of planting and harvesting vegetables. That's why I'm searching for a place where I can thrive, assisting with daily tasks and learning more about fruit and vegetable cultivation. I have experience in fruit picking; I picked blackcurrants and redcurrants for 3 months.

I joined WWOOF to immerse myself in new cultures and learn about sustainable farming practices. By taking part in WWOOF I hope to gain practical experience, network with like-minded people and make a positive contribution. It will also be a great way for me to improve my foreign language skills. Coming to Australia was a childhood dream and I wanted to do something meaningful. I heard about WWOOFing from a friend and that inspired me to try it. I have very little experience of working in gardens, having helped out in my grandparents' vegetable garden in Italy. I'm looking forward to fulfilling this dream and learning from my experiences.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
