I've found myself with a nice chunk of time before I start a graduate scheme with the civil service, so I would love to get out and experience a bit of life before I start my career in earnest.

I'm looking for a farm to volunteer. As finding farm work hasn’t been easy, A friend from the hostel recommended volunteering, and I decided to give it a try. Because I need my necessary visa days requirements, and she also told me it was amazing experience.

I joined WWOOF because I wanted to try work and experiences that I wouldn’t be able to have in my home country, especially those in nature. In the latter half of my working holiday, I’m considering working on a dairy farm, so I decided to gain some prior experience through WWOOF as preparation.

Help Needed to rebuild our sustainable, self-sufficient lifestule. BUSH FIRE  destroyed our property. We are 1.3hrs direct rail route south west of Sydney and airports. We have 40 years experience in Self-Sufficiency. 14 acres of native bushland and 3 dams. We need help to build new animal pens, a new vegie garden and  help to repair our food forest.  Accom for two friends or a couple in the Tiny House. It has two single beds, tv, WIFI,  kitchen, shower, table and chairs. Access to toilet and washing machine nearby. MEALS: Money is provided for you to buy your own groceries and prepare your own meals. Due to the bush fire, the government allows us work on our property to contrubute towards your working visa. See WWOOFs bushfire recovery blog for information and required forms. (Link below)

I have a small hobby farm in Tamborine, home to cows, sheep, a few goats, chickens, and guinea fowls, as well as some small, friendly dogs. The farm is located in a peaceful area, less than an hour from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Accommodation is provided in a fully furnished private room separate from the main house. It includes a fridge, TV, and Netflix access for your comfort. In the main house, you’ll have access to laundry facilities, the kitchen, and your own private bathroom. Recently, Tropical Storm Alfred caused some damage to the property, including fallen trees and flooding. As a result, there’s currently quite a bit to do around the farm in addition to the daily animal care. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a 10-acre property in the countryside outside Bridgetown Western Australia with established paddocks, garden beds, a greenhouse, and a huge chicken coop—with nothing in them yet! The property has great potential, but I have limited time with my work schedule, so I’m looking to get it all set up with the help of some local farmers and WWOOFers. I have a fully off grid caravan for a WWOOFer with bed, kitchen, fridge freezer, bathroom with full size shower, gas heater, outside undercover area, phone coverage, WIFI, solar power, rain collection water.

I’m really keen to do some woofing, to have the opportunity to work in a beautiful spot and to learn more about regenerative farming techniques. It feels like such a treat to wake up close to nature and work with hands in the soil each day.

Our property sits on the edge of the Beelu National Park in the hills east of Perth. Quirky outbuildings made from recycled materials, including an art studio. The main cottage was built in 1881. The accomodation consists of a caravan with all mod cons (air con/tv) with a seventies vibe, an old railway carriage and a recently renovated outdoor bathroom with toilet and shower. We share it with one dog, a quarter horse and a miniature pony. 15 minutes from Lake Leschenaultia where you can swim. 15 minutes to the railway station to central Perth. A great location on the edge of the forest but with easy access to Perth city and Fremantle.

We are wanting to spend time away from the city and learn skills toward building a more sustainable lifestyle. We value the idea of sharing and mutual exchange that wwoofing offers. Merryn spent time wwoofing in the early 2000’s and is excited to introduce Erin to it.

I am looking to try something new while I travel in my campervan which is my reason for joining WWOOF. I have always enjoyed growing my own food when I have had the space but would love to learn about permaculture and working with animals given the opportunity. I would also be keen to do any conservation work required as I am passionate about regenerating our native bush.

‘Yulunga’ is an eco-arts community in the lush hills of Barkersvale, an hour inland from Byron Bay, near Nimbin & Lismore. Yulunga faces the Border Ranges NP & is surrounded by subtropical rainforests, native animals and amazing birdlife. Our community consists of organic gardens, exotic fruit orchards, musicians, artists, environmental activists & passionate gardeners. WWOOFer volunteering includes tending gardens, orchards, building & nursery work. You can swim in the local creek after work. We welcome earthy, hardworking & self-motivated people. Accommodation is for 1-3 in our home or in a shack with own outdoor kitchen. Vegetarians and Vegans can be catered for. We usually negotiate length of stays after an initial visit of 2-3 days. We can pick up from Nimbin or possibly arrange pick up from Lismore.

After living in Sydney working in a hotel for a while and travelling up the East Coast from Sydney to Cairns, I joined WWOOF to experience true Aussie life! I want to learn more about Aussie lifestyle specifically in the countryside to make my Aussie experience well-rounded 🙂 I've used the website Workaway while traveling in Asia and have volunteered in 4 different places (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia) and these have been my best travel experiences as I was deep into local culture.

Hello! We are Em and Sanjay and welcome you to our beautiful organic syntropic farm. We have many different opportunities available for you to learn new skills about semi off grid living on an organic farm. Our property runs off rain water and we have over 80 different fruits and vegetables growing. We also have chooks that produce delicious fresh eggs daily. The accommodation we offer is camping next to a gorgeous creek that runs through our property. There is also the possibility of staying in one of our cabins if it is vacant. As far as the help we need, we have many different tasks to keep you busy. The property is 7 acres and is always in need of daily maintenance such as general clean up; however, we would much prefer our guests to perform more exciting work for them to be able learn new skills. We can teach you skills such as harvesting different fruits and vegetables, building and maintaining compost bays, and many different permaculture techniques. Since our property is in a flood zone, we were dramatically impacted by the floods in the past and we are still recovering from the damage it left, so there is endless amount of work to keep you busy. We prefer at least a 1 week minimum stay to get to know you and are willing to offer long term stays for the right people. With that being said, we are also able to offer 2nd and 3rd working holiday visa extensions with the agreement WWOOF and Border Patrol have made to allow extensions. We can share meals together during working days and every wwoofer is allowed unlimited access to all of our organic produce growing on the property. We are excited to offer all wwoofers on our property!

For both of us, human connection is a vital part of traveling. Sharing moments with the locals is the best way to learn about a country’s culture and truly understand its environment. That’s why wwoofing is perfect for us—it allows us to meet people at the start of our journey and immerse ourselves in Australian culture.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
