I noticed quickly that the backpacker lifestyle going from hostel to hostel is kind of limiting in getting to know the country and especially the Australians. I did WWOOF in Scottland before and learned a lot about the scottish mentality. I would love to have this experience in Australia again.

Curieux et dynamique j'ai choisi de rejoindre ce réseau parce que je souhaite découvrir de nouvelle choses, et surtout une nouvelle façon d'être hébergé. Curious and dynamic, I chose to join this network because I want to discover new things, and above all a new way of being hosted.

I joined WWOOF to study remotely, meet like-minded people in the meantime and learn about farming/permaculture, as it has been one of my life-long dreams. I'd like to be self-sufficient and own my own farm somewhere in the world, and I feel that the time in my life right now is a good opportunity to do so 🙂

I find the idea of getting to know locals and experiencing new tasks in the farming and harvesting sector appealing. I want to connect with people in their environment and contribute to their work. I love nature and believe this is a beautiful setting for work.

I have a belief in organic farming and the benefits it can bring to individuals and communities. For me wwoofing would be an incentive to travel and help others.

WWOOF trok mij eigenlijk meteen. Ik lijkt mij geweldig om mensen te kunnen helpen onder een gemoedelijke sfeer en ondertussen de omgeving te zien, nieuwe mensen te leren kennen en een goed gevoel erbij te hebben.

The main reason I joined wwoof was because I found it to be very safe and a perfect environment for me to meet new people and get to know different cultures and ways of living. Through wwoofing I am trying to expand my horizon and grow up on a different level. Travelling gets me out of my comfort zone which is what I am trying to achieve.

I joined WWOOF to help people, learn about managing the backyard (I have 2 acres) and be able to work with horses. I am introverted and don't enjoy the pub scene - no I am not looking for a relationship - but am a easy going person who enjoys a laugh. Reading that sounds horrible so I please I apologise (you meet me and hopefully you will agree)

I want to experience more places around the world and learn more about sustainable farming globally. I tried wwoofing for the first time in Taiwan and had a wonderful experience. I am moving to Tasmania and looking for full time work in the hospitality industry but I want to try WWOOFing for a few weeks/months when I first arrive.

To know Australia better, to meet like-minded people, to put to practice a PDC and organic farming experience I have. I am so impressed by the beauty of the land that I am looking forward to engaging with people that tend to it and protect it.

This year in April and May I stayed on a farm in Norway after I finally finished my bachelor and I gained a lot out of it not only learning interesting new methods in organic farming like Agroforestry but also living in a community and experiencing a new connecting with food. I would love to experience living with another community and learning new things here in Australia too.

We have been travelling in our van and now we want to stay in the same area for a little while. We haven't had the chance to meet many people so that's what we're looking for and as we said above we want to learn new skills and knowledge.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
