I joined WWOOF to try and find new experiences within Australia. I love my hometown but it’s very small and I just feel like I can’t be who I truly am here.

To experience Australian WWOOF farm as a host of South Korea and I am greatly interested in farms managed by permaculture ways. It must be nice for me to understand situations in wwoofers’s perspective rather than hosts. Also I want to make Australian farmer friend and invite them to my farm in Jeju island some day!

Hi there! Well when I was eighteen I stumbled onto a farm in Sri Lanka and ended up staying three months. At the time it was one of the most difficult experiences of my life. I was a boy, very lonely and afraid and surrounded by foreign language speaker. So it was a very introspective period of my life. Anyway, looking back on that experience, I now realise that it was probably the best thing I have done in my life. The farm was converting over to organic, but this wasn't easy as the soil was pretty heavily degraded after years of chemical use. Also the farm wasn't producing much income so we had to be pretty creative in our approach. My proudest achievement during my four months in Sri Lanka was digging a well (by shovel). It's interesting, over eleven years later that is now my full time job. I wonder if one day. I can go back there with proper drilling equipment and help them to install a well that will last generations.... Jack

I love cycle touring and I have met a good amount of people that have had great experiences with Woofing. I started a salsa farm during covid with some coworkers and loved seeing the field turn red every morning with our tomatoes, making it almost impossible to harvest fast enough. Since I am currently traveling around Australia I thought this would be a fun way to extend my travels.

To be able to extend my experience and to improve my English language. During my travel, I would like to work on different types of farms. I am very driven to help the farmers to repair the damages on their property during bushfires and recent floods. I am always open to new challenges. Most importantly to be able to bring in the skills I have learned back in France. I perform detail-oriented and precise carpentry work with every job. Focused on SUMMARY outperforming customer expectations while accomplishing budget and timeline demands.

First of all we want to join this beautiful community to share good times with other Woofers. On the other hand we also want to learn more about the different varieties of fruits and vegetables that exist in Australia but also the different animal species of your dear country. All these great opportunities will also allow us to improve our English language skills. Wwoof is also an opportunity for us to finance our trip because we want to discover as much of Australia as possible.

Curious and dynamic, I like to meet new people and learn new things. I especially love the viticulture and the grape harvest, as well as horses and stables work. As I come from a wine-growing region, I take a vacation every year to do the grape harvest. I'm preparing a 2 year diploma in the field of viticulture in order to change career. I hope to discover the Australian wine culture througWWOOFing experiences.

It is a dream of mine to one day have my own hobby farm, focused on healthy and sustainable living. Ever since I was a child I have always loved the outdoors and animals. I grew up riding horses and my first job was working at a vet clinic. When I went to university I studied health education and have a masters in Public Health. Since the pandemic, my job is now done remotely (I have PR status) and I would love to take the opportunity to get hands on experience learning how to operate a small sustainable farm, while meeting new people and exploring more of Australia!
