When I was a student, I wanted to stay at a farm in Australia, but I couldn't. Now my children grow up and I am healthy, I think to challenge my wish. And I'm interested in growing vegetables. I’ve started to study of growing organic vegetables since this spring.

I thought farm work is for everyone. Like in every other industry, it takes more than "willing to work hard" to become a farmer. I don't know how farmers become farmers(well, almost every farm in Australia is family run, so I think I've got the answer). It seems to me that acquiring experience through volunteer work like wwoof is the best answer for people like me. I'm looking to get references and experiences after doing wwoof farm work. Basically, I'm using wwoof as a apprenticeship platform.

We plan to create a self-sufficient community in the South of France when we get back. We want to produce healthy food and take back our political power in the local scale. Once you have a farm to run it gets difficult to travel, so we wanted to see a bit of the world before we bought some land, but not as holidays. We want to keep learning and working with farmers, to see how it's done in other climates and social/political contexts. We joined WWOOF Australia because our experience with WWOOF France was great and we really like to share the lives of the people we work with, and it's best when money is not involved.

I have two reasons. First, I wold like to make people more healthy and happy with marketing. I think that the most important thing for us is to sustain health. I want to get the hint which can be applied to the solution of problem of supplying organic food in Japan. Second, I would like to improve my English skill. Actually, I will take part in a volunteer at 2020 Tokyo Olympic, so I want to make efforts to help the people who are English speakers.

To improve my English skill and to encounter different types of people. I also like living in the countryside so I think this experience must be a good opportunity to achieve my goal.
