Two of my friends went to Asia and ended up wwoofing in Nepal and it was the best experience of their life so I guess I want to try it for myself. I love learning about and from people so I think this may be the best way to do it. Plus, I used to travel a lot when I was younger and I really miss the part when you meet someone completely different from you and get to learn so many stuff about their country, culture and world view. Since I am planning on visiting Australia (or a part of it because it is sooo big), I think this is a time to try wwoofing!

Seemed like an interesting way of meeting people from different cultures. As well, becoming familiar with Australian geography and landscapes. Like the idea of time-limited exposure to different occupations and vocations and climates

I joined Woof in oder to experience a different side of Australia, while saving money on living expences. I would like to meet likeminded people and take a break from the day to day in the City.

For me, WWOOFing is not only one of the best opportunities to immerse in nature and take part in authentic experiences, but also let me learn about myself (and each other) along the way. That means I can get to see new places and meet amazing people, all while getting my hands dirty.

I would like to spend some time working with hands, getting more connected with nature and learn more about agriculture. I am excited to be able to explore the abundant land of Australia. I am also passionate about horses. I was born from Manchuria part of North Eastern China close to the border of Russia and Mongolia. I would not shy away from animal work on the farm if needed. For the last 2 years, i have completed my masters degree in Europe and i was fortunate to have been able to travel in 30 countries in the world. Now back in Oz, I would love to be able to contribute where i can and provide help where needed. Really looking forward to meeting you!

We would like to do WWOOFing to live a unique experience through local hosts. We like the fact that we are going back to the basics of human exchange: giving service in exchange for hospitality. It is a way to discover the country from an unusual point of view, without the routine of work.

I'm here for a few reasons: 1. More and more I think that agricultural practises that are in harmony with the land and Indigenous practises, regenerative agriculture, permaculture, and the solarpunk ideology are the best ways to heal people and the planet. I'd like to learn more and participate more in these practises. 2. I spent the last 18 months traveling by bicycle! As heavenly as that is, I miss putting my hands in the earth, and being in one place for a more than one day. Moving on the bike all the time is a very different rhythm to being still and present in one location.

My love for travel has led me to an interest in wwoofing as well as many friends who have done it and have had amazing experiences. I recently spent 6 weeks backpacking throughout Europe and it really opened my eyes to new cultures and made me realize how much I love meeting and connecting with new and different types of people. I found that while I was abroad I never was in one city long enough to get a genuine feel for the place. I decided Australia was my next travel goal which led me to WWOOF, which I feel will give me the fulfillment of making a tangible, positive impact on a place as well as the ability for meeting new people and having novel experience.

We have heard many positive stories of WWOOFing. The ethos of WWOOFing resonates strongly with us. We are keen to meet people with the WWOOFing attitude and generosity who are willing to share their experiences with us. We are keen to give and grow.

I want to get involved, volunteer my time to help with your work. I  love meeting new people, exchanging stories and skills. As I mentioned, I love manual work, so I am looking forward to spending time doing some handy work, gardening, construction, and repairing!

Because i've felt the need to do more practical, hands on work and be in a more natural setting. Also having the opportunity to travel around and meet new people is ideal for me.

I would like to join woof because it seems to me to be one of the best ways to immerse myself in the local culture, to learn new things and to satisfy my desire to be useful. I find it a good way for me to learn but also to exchange and share my experiences with other people.

I would like to experience Australian live in ways that go beyond on being a simple tourist. This is why I find WWOOFing a great opportunity to discover Australia firsthand and meet and enjoy its culture and people. I am interested in living on a farm and learning new skills. I am sure that through WWOOFing I will form a better understanding of nature, farming, and animals. Finally, I hope through working with WWOOF I will experience wonderful memories and leave a good impression on others as well gain meaningful friendships.

To build a better relationship with the soil. I grew up in a city (İstanbul), then worked at a desk for 10 years - I'm seeing how not sustainable this life is, and looking for inspiration on alternative living and working options. WWOOF seems to be a great opportunity to learn that.

I did woofing back home in the UK and greatly enjoyed it. I want to learn more about rural life in Australia and alternative ways of living sustainably.

I joined WWOOF to gain some valuable experience in the farming industry, that may also help me find paid work later on in my travels to extend my WHV. Also, as the whole farm work experience is fairly new to me, WWOOF appeals to me as I hope to learn a lot from supportive hosts, whilst also not having to worry about the soaring costs of accommodation in the cities. Also, I grew up in a fairly rural area, and want to get off the beaten track whilst here in Australia to sample some of the beautiful places that are outside the main centres, and working amongst them just seems like a huge experience that is too good to miss out on.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
