To travel with an emphasis on learning, giving back, connection to other people and improving the community. I enjoy alternative ways of travelling (as opposed to tourism) and find that Woofing and Workawaying allows me to better connect with the community around me and learn about the culture that surrounds me.

Skills I Want to Learn:
The reason why I wanna be a WWOOFer is that I’d like to have an opportunity to communicate with people in different cultures and I love farming and living with nature so much. It was very exciting and good experience that I spent time in the farm before with people who have various backgrounds, and I was glad to be friends with them. Now, I’ve worked in Tokyo,Japan as a salesman. Tokyo is the biggest city in Japan and I cannot have opportunities to feel nature. I think living with nature is very important for people. I love to learn about organic farming. As I wrote, the life in the farm gave me the knowledge of organic farming and I really enjoyed to stay there with warm host family and WWOOFers. This experience as a WWOOFer is one of the most important memories for me, so I hope to have a great time with you guys! Thank you.

I like animals and plants, and I would like to grow vegetables at home in the future, so I wanted to experience farming in order to study. I also have a longing for life in the countryside, so when I return to Japan, I would like to buy a house in the countryside and live there with my husband, cat, and vegetables.

We would love to work outdoors during our travels (rain or shine) and wwoofing would be the best eco-friendly way of doing so. We are also trying to challenge ourselves to travel on a budget.

I'm interested in learning about organic farm practices, meeting people from that community with similar outlooks, exchanging ideas and information. Woofing has always interested me since I saw a T V program on permaculture practices at a young age. After feeling exhausted from rush of city life in Sydney I want to return to the land, nature and reset my priorities.

I joined wwoof because I believe we all have skills that can be shared and that way we can help each other. I have worked as a volunteer for some causes and this helps me with my personal development and gives me satisfaction in contributing to a better world.

I decided to work at WWOOF’s farm. I have always been interested in volunteering and wanted to participate. When I was looking for a job and wanted to get a second working holiday visa, I learned that if you live in a WWOOF natural disaster area, it will count towards getting a second visa, so I decided to participate.

I was looking for fulfilling work and volunteer opportunities while I am away here in Australia. This organization seems to be a great place to facilitate this.

I joined WWOOF because I want to learn organic and biodynamic viticulture and winemaking and I’m still now working at organic vineyard/winery in Japan. The allure of sustainable, environmentally conscious practices has always captivated me, and WWOOF provides a unique avenue to turn this passion into firsthand experience. I am driven by a curiosity to understand the intricacies of cultivating vines and making wines in harmony with nature.

Ive hosted WWOOFers on our own property in the past as well as enjoyed the WWOOFing experience myself as a guest. I love manual work and being about in the dirt and sun - mostly I enjoy the socail aspect that comes along with a woofing relationship, my favourite kind of work life balance.
