I joined WWOOF to complete my 88 days and extend my Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417) because I fell in love with Australia. The country’s beauty, culture, and people captured my heart, and there's so much more I want to explore. Since arriving, my dream has been to fulfill these days and continue my adventure. I worked tirelessly for 4 months at a café in Eden, NSW, only to find out it didn't qualify as remote enough. This setback hasn't dampened my spirit; instead, it’s made me even more determined. I’m eager to return to Australia and complete my 88 days before my visa expires on October 1st. I'm passionate about immersing myself in the Australian lifestyle, learning new skills, and making lasting connections along the way.

I would like to have new experiences here in Australia. This is the country I dreamed about as a kid, and I really want to discover Australia’s landscapes. Being in the middle of nature would teach me how to really take care of it. I’m hoping to learn about planting, piking, taking care of plants.

To connect with Wwoofing Hosts in my area and to create a network of likeminded permaculture people to learn farming techniques through diversity. I believe Woofing on various farms is a good way to reinforce learnings of PDC's

I joined WWOOF to deepen my understanding of sustainable living. Coming from the bustling city of Singapore, the fast pace of life rarely allows me to stop and smell the flowers. My days are always packed with productive activities, often causing me to overlook how my actions impact the environment. Through this experience, I hope to become more attuned to Mother Nature and acquire the skills needed to lead a more sustainable life, benefiting both myself and the environment when I return to Singapore. I also look forward to meeting new people who share my interests, passions, and love for the great outdoors.

Wwoofing seems to be a quite perfect way to meet interesting new people, to do something that makes sense and fun – both. I don`t (only) want to travel to the tourist hot spots, I want to meet (some parts of) the nature and the people in Australia. And that hopefully without getting poor by travelling. 😉

City/Town:
Farming Methods: Permaculture
Accommodation Type: In Our Home, Separate Building, BYO Accommodation
A beautiful, luxurious health sanctuary and farm designed for people who are interested in bettering themselves physically, mentally and spiritually. This space is vegetarian and drug and alcohol free. We are on 75 acres of land on Mount Nullum, with sweeping views and multiple gardens of an assortment of fruit trees (100 Mango trees), vegetable and herb gardens. The space is set up to be a healing, nurturing space and we nurture the land we are on as well as ourselves. We are currently regenerating the land under guidance from an expert in the field, and have grants to re-plant new trees linking the Mountain forest to the creeks and dams below. The herb garden has been professionally set-up and we gather advice from local organic farmers for our vegetable gardens. There is a gym on the premise and we actively train and practice yoga as well. We are offering some very nice accommodation and plenty of super healthy food, (communal cooking is encouraged) in exchange for 20hrs of work on the land a week.

With Wwoofing I hope to make contacts and gain experiences for life. It is also the perfect opportunity to work in and with nature, which has always interested me and is the main intention of Wwoof hosts who (hopefully;) ) like to share their experience. Of course, I also hope to explore the nature of Australia.

I joined WWOOF because I want to immerse myself in the world of sustainable farming and gain practical skills that I can apply in my future career in Korea’s agricultural and food industry. As my country places increasing importance on food security, I believe that hands-on experience in farming is essential for understanding the complexities of food production. Having studied environmental science, I recognize the importance of environmentally friendly and efficient farming practices in addressing both local and global food challenges. Australia, with its vast agricultural landscape and innovative farming techniques, provides the perfect setting for me to deepen my knowledge. Learning directly from experienced farmers through WWOOF will allow me to explore diverse methods of organic and sustainable farming that I can eventually bring back to Korea. WWOOF is more than just about learning the technical side of farming—it's also about connecting with hosts, sharing values, and gaining insight into the philosophies that guide their farming practices. I’m not just seeking to work but to absorb the mindset and life lessons that come from working with the land. Ultimately, this experience will contribute to my broader goal of making a meaningful impact in agriculture and food security in my home country.
