I joined wwoof with hopes of giving back to the community i'm traveling to, getting to know those that inhabit the land around me, and hopefully educating myself further on all things natural!

One important thing is to learn more about farming and to get in contact with local people. If I can learn a few new things about planting, permaculture or working with animals I would be very thankful. Also I have to watch my money so WWOOFing is a good possibility for me to stay longer in Australia.

I joined WWOOF through AIFS and l am interested in learning about life on Australian Organic& Permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically.

I am interested in the idea of exchanging labour for means of subsistence as proposed by WWOOF. I think it is good to be able to receive direct payment for my labour in the form of food, accommodation, etc. For me, this is more direct and exciting than a company paying wages. As an international student in Australia, I have always respected traditional culture and enjoyed being exposed to various cultures around the world. As a farmer, I also want to experience and learn about different ways of life. I like to help people and chat to different people.

After school finishes, I'm thinking about starting WWOOF from January next year. I don’t have any experience in farming, but I’m really interested in organic farming. I'm interested in learning how to grow and make healthy food. I'm also keen to know how Australian farmers live. In the future, I want to live a simple life, working in agriculture and doing massage therapy.

I see WWOOFing as a perfect opportunity to connect with locals as well as people from different countries and cultures while learning about new jobs, broadening my horizon about the world and traveling affordably. I like that WWOOFing fortifies the concept of striving for a sustainable way of producing goods/food and living because that is fundamental for the future of this world.

I wanted to live with Australian people and do work related to agriculture. I'm interested in Australian life and working animal farm, so I think it is a good choice to help their farm while living with them. I also want to practice and improve my English language skills.

I am a really open-minded person and think that WWOOF is a great oppurtunity to meet know people and get to know something about the actual life in australia - outside of the very touristy areas.

This human experience is wild and abundant and I am eager to lean into learning more about sustainable living and gaining primitive skills. I’ve been living off grid, in different communities and homesteads for the greater part of the last 6years. I am so passionate about this alternative lifestyle and the ways I’ve grown with it. So more is more and I will keep growing in this journey through wwoofing until the day comes and I set down my own roots.

I am keen to gain land management skills and learn about permaculture farming techniques, as I hope to one day have a permaculture farm and land of my own. I am passionate about living as sustainably as possible, and consuming little, and the best way to do that is to connect with community, grow your own food, and work together. I am hoping to get to know you, your community and family, your land and animals, and that we are able to teach each other new things. It is also a small dream of mine to document my travels and teach others via social media and/or blogging about the great places and communities that Australia has to offer, and why supporting local farmers and businesses is one of the most sustainable things you can do for the environment. Think Global, Act Local.

Earlier this year, I had the incredible opportunity to travel for a month in the southwestern and western regions of Australia. This journey was filled with memorable experiences, such as spending two weeks camping with friends, attending captivating a show at the Health Ledger Theater, and feeling the adrenaline rush at drag a racing and speedway event at Perth Motorplex. What truly stood out to me during my travels was the remarkable hospitality of the locals, their dedication to preserving nature, and their love for wildlife and farm life. These aspects left a lasting impression on me and sparked a keen interest in sustainable living and farming practices. I am eager to immerse myself further in this lifestyle through WWOOF and to bring my energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn to your farm.

I joined WWOOF to expand my volunteering experiences and immerse myself in nature. I have enjoyed every volunteering opportunity I've had and am excited to learn new skills, meet like-minded people, and contribute to farms.

I'm looking to learn more about organic farming, cooking, and many other opportunities. Very excited to spend time in Hawaii! I visited Denmark last Fall to WWOOF and I fell in love with the country. I've learned some of the Danish language from online apps and was able to communicate a bit with locals when I was there. Having that experience was truly life changing and I hope to continue that good streak. 😉

Im in Melbourne for a wedding but I also want to get my hands dirty! The farming scene here is amazing and I would love to be part of it for a while. I’ve never worked with animals (and holistic grazing) and I would love to start exploring that.

It's interesting for me to see different agriculture methods. Indeed, I always lived in mountains, used to have a garden when I was a child and loved to have my hands in the soil. Moreover, I love animals, I like to understand how they live, how we take care of them, what they like or not... On top of that, I want to meet new people, doing what they love and learn with them might be, for sure, really enjoyable. By working for someone, I firstly want to be helpful and useful. And secondly, it's a way for me to have a new experience for, who knows, working in the agricultural environment later...

Meeting incredible people, there is no better way. To travel and have my mind opened 🙂 I am by nature an intrepid girl who loves to be outside in nature and getting my hands dirty.
