My parents did a lot of wwoofing in their early 20s around Australia and New Zealand, they told me they would always learn so much and make lifelong amazing memories. Growing up with woofers coming and going on my parents land, I always found the exchange very normal and fascinating. Now I think it is one of the best ways to travel, meet new people and experience life.

Wwoofing is a game-changer for me! I stumbled upon this great adventure during my stay in Western Australia and the experience left an indelible mark on my life. I learned a lot of new things from great people, not just about farm work but their stories and culture. I would definitely do it again and again if given the chance.

Through WWOOF, I want to have experiences that I cannot have in Japan. I also want to gain skills and experience that will be useful after I return to Japan. I would also like to be able to experience the lifestyle and customs that are unique to Australia.

Previously worked as a wwoofer love organic farming as I am very health conscious, love animals and conservations for land and animals, I would love to see the world become a better place with better farming practices and totally ban the use of chemicals in our food and water systems.I am a minimalist I have my own caravan and am quite self sufficient. I have a trade background in cabinet making, carpentery skills in structure and detailing. I am mechanically minded and can carry out repairs and maintenance on most farm machinery, water irrigation systems. I am a passionate gardener growing fresh clean organic food,I have been a vegetarian for over 35 years love to keep fit with resistance training, cycling, hiking, camping, swimming and other physical activities.

I decided to join WWOOF because I want to widen my skills, and be aware of different lifestyles. I hope to be helpful and useful to the hosts and share experiences and knowledge with them and my coworkers. WWOOF allows to work in different fields that have a direct impact on people's life and ecology. As I'm concerned with climate change, I want to be able to understand my impact, what good can be done with plant and animal cultivation, tree farming, fishing. Thanks to WWOOF, I’m also able to do bushfire and natural disaster recovery works which would be fulfilling in many ways. Finally, I’m also interested in working in the cultural sector (museums, art galleries, cultural events or meetings) and the hospitality industry as I have a bit of experience with it.

I want to learn new farming skills, experience the outback lifestyle, and get closer to nature. Also to fulfill my dream of traveling, meeting new people, and being in, much like my childhood fantasy, in the middle of nowhere.

I’m joining WWoofing to experience farm life in Australia and gain hands-on knowledge about agriculture. My sister had a great experience about WWoofing in New Zealand, and her stories inspired me to explore this side of Australian culture. I’m excited to learn new skills, connect with locals, and grow both personally and professionally.

Traveling is a big focus of mine at the moment as I am still somewhat trying to figure out what it is I want out of life, I'm planning to do a mix of WWOOFing and camping on my road trip to extend the trip as long as possible while meeting as many interesting people and learning as much as i can along the way. I think WOOFing is a great way to get around Australia as well as get a greater perspective on life and on people as a whole.

I joined WWOOF because for me traveling is sharing, and I am looking for sharing with the people from the country I am travelling. It is for me the best way to discover a country. I am also looking for tips about Australia and the best way travel around, and I am pretty sure that by WWOOFying it can help me a lot.

Skills I Want to Learn:
I joined WWOOF to meet likeminded nature lovers and true aussies during my trip through Australia! I had a lot of theoretical knowledge in my studies, but now I would like to get some hands-on experiences and get my hands dirty to learn more about permaculture and regenerative/syntropic farming. I am also very interested in herbal medicine, and use of fresh herbs in the kitchen. Ideally, I would like to work on a farm that has an orchard or food forest, combined with a kitchen garden. I am very curious about the people I will meet, and I hope to have a great time during my working holiday.

To learn, to give, to share, and to live the adventure of meeting new people, environments, and ways of life. I want to travel and participate in local livelihoods and projects. Why wwoof, because the ways of living of the hosts are in line with Nature’s systems.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
