The reason why I try to do WWOOF is that I’d like to have an opportunity to stay with people in different culture and work in a farm. I like animals and nature.

To find a place to volunteer as I am here in Australia for both work and travels. I hope to get to a place where I can be a part of the family/community, and learn and work in the organic farm environment. Joined to get to know the real Australia, and hopefully contribute to a sustainable global community.

I think WWOOF is really great opportunity to get to know a different culture, because you live with the locals. In my opinion it is a good compromise working a few hours on a farm in return to accomodation and food. I've always wanted to have a farm experience so I'm very excited to now fulfill my childhood dream. I love being surrounded by nature and nice people. I'm willing to work hard although I have no experience in farmwork.

I’m joining WWOOF to see more of Australia’s beautiful regions and get a more local, hands-on experience. I think it’s a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and get involved with the community while making the most of my time in this amazing country.

Because woofing makes it easier to find a job 😀 and I've heard a lot of good things about the community and I'm now looking forward to experiencing it myself.

I have dreamed about traveling to Australia for the longest time! I've also been wanting to become more self-sustainable and learn to live off of the land! I'm vegan and love finding new and creative ways to use plant-based food to make tasty dishes! I also love being around animals, meeting new people, and learning new skills! I'm happy to help out in whatever way you may need.

Skills I Want to Learn:
Our dream is to break out of our everyday lives and spend about 6 weeks in Australia and show our kids the beauty of the world. But we don’t just want to travel around and visit the tourist spots, we would like to immerse ourselves more into the lives of the people and their culture. Plus, Christoph always wanted to work on a farm one day and do some physical work (at least for a few weeks). We don’t have any experience in farming, but we are willing to learn.

I want to join WWOOF because I love nature and animals, and I believe working on a farm is a great way to connect with both. I’m eager to learn more about sustainable living and farming practices, which I think will be a valuable life experience. I also see this as an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and experience different cultures. By joining WWOOF, I hope to improve my English skills, learn practical skills, and make meaningful connections with others while contributing to the work of the host family. It’s a chance for me to grow as a person and explore a new way of life.

In joining WWOOF, I hope to gain experience and learn more about agricultural labor - from growing crops to maintaining an eco-friendly lifestyle . Hoping to experience a different way of life; far from the urban city life, while contributing to the local community.

Volunteering includes gardening, building, maintenance, care of animals and household. We welcome children and mature aged WWOOFers. Non-smokers. Mixed diet.

Farming Methods: Permaculture
Accommodation Type: Separate Building, Tent, BYO Accommodation
I share my 1 acre permaculture garden and structures with my partner Rob, guests and abundant wildlife. If you are interested in permaculture, deep ecology, organics, bio-dynamics, plant propagation, weaving, creative building, bamboo, healthy lifestyles, ethical businesses, transition towns, community, and inner work -  healing of Earth and people - you may like to contact me. I am a long term permaculture and social permaculture educator and facilitator and also train teachers, facilitators and group leaders from any industry in creative facilitation and interactive learning methods as well as offering ceremony and empowerment workshops for women, co-gender & community groups. I have written and self-published 3 books and run a small business to weave all this together. As well as gardening, landscaping and permaculture style land care work we often need support with building and construction, some functional, some creative and sculptural. I occasionally need support in my office and also with general domestics and food processing from the garden and orchard. Creative & joyous endeavours are common. Vegetarian meals and garden forage, with basic accommodation indoors. Occasional meat options can be arranged if necessary.

I joined WWOOF for a transformative adventure and also to make myself useful. I am eager to connect with nature, learn sustainable farming firsthand, and live with a community of likewise eco-minded individuals. Pretty much every line of work interests me in organic farming: gardening, tool repair, construction, work with animal - you name it. But the one thing I would like the most is to work in a vineyard or winery: My family is partly from France, and I grew up in the South of Germany (Palatinate) where the culture of wine is very strong - and I love it. I am also very interested in cultural exchanges at large - loved the experience in Australia so far, looking forward to discovering new facets of this fascinating country!

I joint WWOOF due to my passion for volunteering and helping others in need. I think volunteering can enrich your mental wellbeing by fostering deeper levels of compassion and empathy and when you engage with people from different backgrounds, especially those facing challenges you gain insight into their experiences and perspectives.

It’s been almost a year since I came to Australia. However, I feel like my English hasn’t improved as much as I’d hoped. So, I’ve decided to focus more on improving my English and living a healthy lifestyle rather than just making money in the city. That’s when I discovered WWOOFing, and it seems perfect for me. I wanted to explore new places in Australia that I haven’t experienced before, and WWOOFing allows me to do that with the added benefit of free accommodation. This opportunity will enable me to immerse myself in different parts of Australia, practice my English, and live a healthier life. I’m excited to make good memories, meet new people, and improve my English skills through this experience. I believe WWOOFing will provide me with the unique and dynamic experiences I’ve been looking for.

Looking to spend time outdoors growing food/tending plants, learn practical skills and limit my environmental footprint. Having recently arrived in Australia I'm eager to get to know some locals and being here on a visitor visa, WWOOFing makes sense.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
