I’m looking for a volunteer opportunity starting from March 15, ideally around the Gold Coast. I have my own car and would like to stay for 2-3 months.

I joined WWOOF for unique experiences, to meet like-minded people, and to get as much hands-on experience in my areas of interest: winemaking, viticulture, farming, gardening, and yoga.

I would like to earn new experiences, see how other cultures live and try something different in a country which is foreign for me. I've always wanted to try out the principle of wwoof in Australia. I would like to improve my English skills, and where can you do that better than with locals? 😉

Our property is a small 5 acre block set amongst others in a bush setting beside a beautiful coastal Forest. We have a vegetable and fruit garden semi established. Our home sits at the back of the block overlooking a vista of gum trees and lawn. We have a pool for cooling off in after working in the garden. Bird life is abundant here and there are a family of kangaroos who graize, and move freely around the neighbouring blocks. We are located 5 minutes drive, or a 20 minute bicycle ride from the beach. The adjoining forest is a fabulous place to walk, and has mountain bike tracks throughout.

During my stay in Australia, I hope to see the amazing countryside of Australia. But I also want to learn more about myself and life in general. For that journey, I am open and thankful to meet people with different nationalities and ways of living.

I am looking to learn more about organic agricultural practices and animal care. I am English and from the UK but have lived in Italy for many of my adult years. I live in Bolzano in the North of Italy, and since 2010 created and ran an intercultural community garden. The garden has been a great success and a group from over 15 different countries continues to grow fruit and vegetables from all over the world. I am visiting Australia for a month in February/March 2025 and would like to spend some days working as a volunteer WWoofer close to Sydney. I would love to work on a farm that has vegetables and animals, especially sheep or goats. I'm not so young anymore (59 years) but would say I'm pretty fit and more than happy to do farm work!

We joined WWOOFing because we believe in the power of connecting with people, nature, and sustainable living. After traveling and working in different environments, we realized how much we enjoy being part of hands-on projects that support ecological practices and promote a simpler, more fulfilling way of life. WWOOFing offers us the opportunity to learn new skills, share our own knowledge, and contribute to meaningful projects, all while immersing ourselves in local cultures and communities. It's the perfect way for us to grow personally, live mindfully, and connect with like-minded people who share our passion for the environment and sustainable living. We’re excited to be part of this community and make lasting memories through shared experiences! 🌿

I joined WWOOF because it seemed like a good opportunity to explore Australian culture while learning something new and creating meaningful connections. I grew up in the Italian countryside, where my grandparents had some animals and a vineyard so farming has been part of my childhood. I like spending time outside and would love to learn more about agriculture and farming.

Reena had a wonderful experience WWOOFing in the Japan alps when she was exploring Japan on her own many years ago. This will be Connor’s first time WWOOFing. We hope this experience will help us grow, experience new things, and allow us to make new friends.

We are a mixed Sheep and Grain enterprise in the wheatbelt. We are not in a high rainfall area but can still grow some reasonable crops at times. We have always been non chemical but have recently made the step of certifying one of our farms to grow organic oats. There is no market for our wheat and Barley in the organics so we continue to grow those chemical free but just sell to CBH the same as all the other growers. We are passionate about farming and the lifestyle. We enjoy having milking cows just for our own use not for selling the milk. Sheep is a big part in our farming. We love wool as a product and enjoy the active lifestyle that sheep bring.

We believe wwoofing is a great way to meet new people and get to know the Australian lifestyle. It's always a more rewarding experience to share a home with someone, than just travel through.

I made the decision to join WWOOF so that I'll able to volunteer my time, gain valuable experiences and make some nice friends while exploring Australia. WWOOF Australia seems to be a platform that can help expand my learning experiences, thus allowing me to do what I've wanted to do for the longest time before embarking on the next leg of my learning journey in tertiary education. Previously, there were some constraints. However, with my remote work, feeling freer to do what I'd like to do, and being where I'd like to be, has never seem more real than now, and with WWOOF Australia, the opportunities seem endless. I'm looking forward to some new experiences through this WWOOFing experience.
