My husband, Dhiv, grew up on a sugar cane farm in South Africa and wanted to end up living on a farm, while I grew up in the suburbs of Melbourne but from the age of 5 knew I wanted to have a farm. We now own 30Ha of fertile, flattish land in NZ and plan to have a mixed farmlet enterprise that will serve ourselves and the local community with fruit, veg, nuts, eggs and some meat. Dhivian currently works in large corporations managing teams of data analysts. I work at Agriculture Victoria in the Biological Control team, located in Bundoora. Our two boys are in primary school and are very excited about our future farm and move to NZ. We thought that by doing some wwoofing we could all learn a heap and have some fun while helping the wonderful Australian farmers.

For having memories that I never forget For having experiences in differents fields For meet people and share something special Because I think that we need sometimes having faith in humanity. The world is beautiful when we believe in it. We just need help or chance to realize that humans are good.

Hi, I will be landing in Australia in April 17th and I am looking for a job where I can learn a lot of skill until I get my tfn and start working elsewhere(or with you if you want to keep me). I am a motivated fast learner. You only have to tell me things once. I may need some time(a few days) to accomodate to a new environment but once I am, I am a real electric battery that never runs out ! I never worked in a farm but I already do have some experience with horses as I was raised in New Caledonia and had the opportunity to rides a few times. I can also drive a motocross and have a license for manual/automatic car even tho I dont have a car yet.

I joined WWOOF because I wanted to travel in a way that felt meaningful -- not just sightseeing, but actually connecting with people and places. Working on organic farms gave me hands-on experience in sustainability, something I care deeply about. I hope to gain hands-on experience in sustainable farming while immersing myself in different cultures. I want to learn practical skills like growing food, composting, and working with the land -- things that feel important especially in a world facing climate and food security challenges. AND I want to meet cool people to exchange ideas, and I want to live more simply. I hope to contribute to a community and come out of the experience as a better human.

I want to join WWOOF because I would like to continue to join new host farms for stays in the future. I would love to learn more about organic farming and alternative ways of producing food. I ultimately want to join because I really enjoyed my recent WWOOF'ing experience.

I joined WWOOF because I think that it's not only an economical way of traveling solo, but a fantastic way to really immerse oneself in another country and meet the people who live there. Because I am traveling for months on end, I find it a cheap way to travel accommodation wise, but also a nice way to keep myself busy and in a routine. I like staying busy and helping out, and WWOOFing seems like the perfect way to do just that. I hope to achieve a new sense of independence during my WWOOF experience. I'd also love to learn more about different farms and techniques used in hopes of one day using what I learn in my day-to-day life.

I joined WWOOF because I want to experience Australia in a deeper, more meaningful way. I love the idea of connecting with locals, learning new skills, and being part of sustainable and community-driven lifestyles. WWOOFing is a chance for me to get out of my comfort zone, work with my hands, and learn more about farming, gardening, and eco-friendly practices. I’m also excited to meet like-minded people, share cultures, and create lasting memories while contributing positively to your farm or project.

I have joined WWOOF, hoping to contribute to your goals, simultaneously gaining knowledge and skills that will benefit me and my farm back in the UK for my return in spring. I am not afraid of hard work and getting stuck in. I am keen to meet like minded individuals with similar passions for nature and its preservation. Sustainable management techniques and permaculture practices are of particular interest to me alongside the cultivation of medicinal species and the production processes associated.

Hi! We’re Pietro and Jessica, two motivated and respectful Italians looking for an authentic experience on an Australian farm. We love working outdoors, are reliable, punctual, and ready to adapt to the needs of the farm. We’re currently in Perth but willing to travel anywhere. We’re looking for a cultural exchange where we can lend a helping hand and learn more about rural life in Australia. We’re happy to assist with gardening, animal care, cleaning, cooking, and other daily tasks. Thanks for the opportunity!

When i first found out about Wwoofing it sounded too good to be true, it is literally a combination of everything i am already passionate about! Travel, new experiences, environmentalism, hands-on work, meeting interesting people, etc, i was actually blown away that this was a real thing! I has always been my dream to travel after finishing school and Wwoofing sounds more than perfect for me. I have heard amazing stories from people who have Wwoofed before and i hope to gain my own unique experiences from it, crazy stories, incredible sights, new skills, new friends and more. For me Wwoofing is more than just a cheaper way to travel, I would have chosen this even if i had to scrape every dollar together to do so.

I joined WWOOF because I wanted to experience Australian culture by living with local families and being part of their daily lives. I also wanted to improve my English through real conversations and daily communication. Since I love working outdoors and enjoy being surrounded by nature, WWOOF felt like the perfect opportunity. Meeting new people and learning from different ways of life is something I truly value.

I grew up on a farm where we raised cattle, horses, and chickens, as well as growing our own veggies. I'm keen to get back to spending time farming and working outdoors, as well as having a way to give back to the places I'm visiting. Also, I've lived communally in the States for about 5 years, so I'm especially interested in spending time in a co-op, commune, or intentional community! I've never WWOOFed before this year but I've really enjoyed using Couchsurfing and other methods of travel that allowed me to meet new people.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
