A friend who did wwoofing in Canada recommend it and the website convinced me that this fits my desire how I want to spent my time in Australia the best. Today, I am trying to protect our environment by avoiding plastic, buying local, safe water and energy and driving an e-car. However, I want to do more and to learn more how. I would like to do environment protection professionally.

My aim from woofing is to learn new skills, learn about the land into which I was born, meet new people and dive into different ways of living. I hope to use the skills and knowledge shared by others to incorporate into my life and to pass on what I learn to those around me.

City/Town: Balnarring
Farming Methods: Organic
Accommodation Type: In Our Home
I travel between 2 homes and welcome WWOOFers at either or both. 1: Basic old cottages & caravans at a beautiful beach on the Mornington Peninsula which used to be part of a farm & is now growing food & indigenous vegetation for wildlife habitat. 2: An old house and garden near Yarra River parks close to Melbourne. Both places are organic, influenced by permaculture and my environmental work & training. Volunteering includes gardening, building, maintenance, care of animals & household. I enjoy cultural exchange & sharing many interests. Life full of animals, books, art & music. We welcome children b.a. & mature aged WWOOFers. Non-smokers. Mixed diet.

Piggery Road Permaculture and Produce is a small, Permaculture No-till market garden on the edge of a charming village in South Gippsland. This is a one-woman micro-farm supplying locals with weekly vegie boxes and doing occasional market stalls. The property is 12 acres with a third of an acre under intensive cultivation. I also teach Introduction to Permaculture Courses. We have dogs, goats, chickens and bees. Also an elderly cat who appreciates a cuddle. We are 2 hours from Melbourne by car, and also accessible by public transport if you're not in a hurry. I live with my partner who is a guitar maker. Accommodation is in the house. There are also nice camping spots around if you have a van or prefer a camping setup.

To learn, to connect, and to grow. Sharing experience and knowledge is invaluable. It seems there is a lot of that to be shared in the organic farming industry. I aspire to have a piece of land with fellow beings who are aligned to farm, live, work, and play on. To further gain knowledge, inspiration, and experience, I would love to do some WWOOFing. I also love living in community and it seems this is the platform to fulfill that, the above and I am sure plenty more.

I'd like to learn various cultures and lives. I'm interested in environmental problems and I'd like to live ecofriendly. I have few opportunities to interact with people from abroad while I'm in Japan, so I'd like to enjoy interact with them.

I joined WWOOF as I have obtained the 462 work and holiday visa, and wanted to experience living in Australia for awhile. As someone who enjoys being in nature, I have always wanted to try doing work in a non-office setting and am curious about the agricultural/animal care practices that different places have adopted. Additionally, I will be embarking on a 1-week WWOOF trip to Taiwan in September as a first experience to organic farming. I am also keen to meet new friends and individuals from all walks of life through WWOOF as I believe it is beneficial to be exposed to different backgrounds and cultural practices apart from my own upbringing in Singapore.

Recently, I've read about fermenting, and have enjoyed trying it out. In particular, It felt really good to eat sour dough bread which i made, along with with some butter I made too! Even though it was from store bought cream, I do imagine what it would taste like straight from cow 😋 Eating the bread I made felt so satisfying. I believe there are therapeutic benefits in enjoying the simple things in life and going back to the natural processing of food whilst joining to be a part of it. Whether it's growing, harvesting or preparing it. It is beneficial for all, and for everything else around. It promotes complete wellbeing and restores our environment. Working together and caring for each other while looking after our environment. Further, I am looking forward to realise how being a part of this, eating organic wholefood, and living naturally can bring about healing for myself and others. I would like to gain some 'hands on experience' and learn from others who are already applying these much needed skills. This would make me feel happy. God bless.

This site will allow me to meet potential hosts for woofing. Being able to work without worrying about where I sleep at night and how I'm going to eat will be a plus. There are three very important points that woofing could bring me. First discover the local culture. Secondly, meet a family with whom you could improve my English. And lastly to be able to discover new skills in the workplace.

I recently finished a 3 month trip in Europe and although it was an amazing experience, I found that I really value integrating in the local communities. The WWOOF opportunities are a great way to explore more meaningfully through a hands on opportunity. I am still at a point in my life where I have plenty of time and I really want to explore the unique opportunities that WWOOF offers!

We joined WWOOF for a way to travel around Australia while living off the land and fully embracing new experiences. We're excited to meet new people and learn from the hosts, both about their farms and their families. We want to grow as individuals and as a couple, and continue to see more of the world around us.

I wish to join WWOOF to change my daily routine and discover a way of life perhaps far from mine. I would like to meet new people and share their daily lives while helping them. Discover a new culture, new dish and in turn discover French recipes.

After feeling the need for a break from the busy life in New York City, I turned to my friends for advice on what to do next. Many of them recommended WWOOFing, a concept I was unfamiliar with at the time. When I discovered that I could work on a farm, vineyard, or brewery in Australia through WWOOFing, I knew I had found the perfect fit! Traveling is a passion of mine, and I've been fortunate enough to explore various places. WWOOF offers me the fantastic opportunity to combine work and travel, benefiting not only myself but also the hosts I'll be working for. It truly is an incredible resource that aligns perfectly with my interests and aspirations.

I joined WWOOF to support my dream of traveling and furthering my knowledge of different cultures, agricultures, and to live a simpler lifestyle. It has always been something i have been interested in trying for quite some time now. I hope to make new friends in the process as well.
