I joined WWOOF as I was feeling a little bit burnt out after finishing university. I would love the opportunity to be out in nature and learn skills that could help on farms.

We wanted to join WWOOF because we want to learn about sustainable agriculture and different ways people approach agriculture around the world. America does things a lot differently than other countries and we are excited to learn about the ways Australia goes about agriculture. We also want to work towards the greater cause of rebuilding our Earth and truly believe the little steps and actions are what make all the difference. We hope to achieve lasting relationships with the host families as well as getting to serve communities around Australia and learn more about a new place by WWOOFing.

I have aspirations to buy some land and become partially self sufficient myself when I return to the UK. That's why WWOOF is of particular interest to me as I'm looking to gain some practical experience and skills whilst having fun and volunteering my time.

The Wolery is the longest-running intentional community in WA- established over 30 years ago with 15 households, 13 kms west of Denmark. Our 62ha property is 5 kms (an easy bike ride) from the magnificent Greens Pool, and has 30 heactares of forest. Our mud-brick, passive solar house is surrounded by gardens, orchards & chooks, and our WWOOFers accommodation is a delightful small room with loft, separate from the house. Volunteering may include gardening or orchard maintenance, or assisting with community working bees. You may be able to work on other households on the community as well. Accommodation for 2 or more with mixed meals. Louise is an awesome cook and we eat really well all year round. We are into the environment, music, walking, the beach, good food & meeting people. No cats or dogs & No Smoking. Negotiable stays. Great community! Great beach! Lots of fun assured! We look forward to meeting you.

Small organic food forest on rural property by the Mary River in kenilworth qld. We are a retired couple and grow our fruit and vegetables. I am a passionate permaculture gardener and we eat a plant based diet using our produce. Our property is 4km from the local village of kenilworth, set beside the river and various cattle farms. Beautiful rural scenery. 35 min drive to Noosa or Coolum.

To learn, to connect and to collaborate. I am trying to figure out a way to make an impact, selfishly, I am trying to find my purpose - and whilst I have established this will always be through plants and the outdoors- I am hoping through speaking and working with others through a range of different scenarios that WWOOFing has to offer, I get that little bit closer.

I joined WWOOF because I really enjoy taking a peak into the life of the locals wherever I am. I feel like thatโ€˜s the most realistic picture of a country you can get. Also I just really enjoy meeting new people and seeing what the world has to offer.

Wannabe cowboy here. I was raised on a few acres as a small one and it set me up to loooooove wide open spaces and the smell of hay. I'm most interested in animal care, but would also like to learn the rest of any and all day-to-day jobs needed to get by on a ranch. Happy to help with whatever bits I'm needed on ๐Ÿ™‚ Getting to the point where I'm solid on a horse is a massive want. x

Emma and I are going on a trip through SA, NT & WA from June - December '24 where we are excited to visit national parks and nature reserves to share our love for camping, hiking, birdwatching, fire-making, veggie-roasting, beach-swimming, off-road cycling and everything in between I've forgotten to write in. On this trip we also want to take it slow and learn about what Country we are passing through and the history of the land and its people and to engage where welcome in the different communities we might meet wherever we are. We joined WWOOF because we want to really slow down and spend a month in one spot to take a break and recover from the months spent moving around, and would love to spend that month lending a hand to a project that we feel we want to support and learn about along the way :))))))
