We wanted to choose the WWOOF program to be able to learn new things, experience moments of local life, visit a new country and be able to help. Indeed living with a host and working to be able to visit a country seems to me to be a plus to better understand the customs and form our character. In addition we have received a lot of positive feedback about this program. We are therefore delighted at the idea of being able to carry out this experience in our turn.

I am currently doing a PhD research about permaculture in Australia at the University of Queensland. I joined Wwoof because I would like to work as volunteer in permaculture projects around the country to contribute with my time and energy to the projects, while I research about people's experiences in the Permaculture movement in Australia. I joined WWOOF in other countries before and I know it is a great way to connect with people who is passionate about creating conscious and sustainable alternatives for society. I am looking for people who would like to participate in this research, while I help them in their projects.

I'm Rin, an enthusiastic individual with a deep love for sustainable living and a keen interest in organic farming. Originally from China, I have embarked on a journey to explore the rich landscapes and eco-friendly practices that Australia has to offer. My passion for sustainable agriculture led me to discover WWOOF, and I am thrilled at the prospect of becoming a part of the WWOOFing community in Australia. I believe that meaningful connections with the land and its caretakers are essential for a sustainable future, and WWOOF provides the perfect platform for me to learn, share, and contribute. I am eager to learn knowledges in a hands-on setting. Whether it's tending to crops, caring for animals, or engaging in permaculture projects, I am ready to roll up my sleeves and immerse myself in the world of sustainable farming practices. What excites me most about WWOOFing in Australia is the opportunity to not only learn from experienced farmers but also to exchange ideas, cultures, and stories with fellow WWOOFers. I am a firm believer in the power of community, and I am committed to contributing my time and energy to create a positive and thriving environment. Adventurous by nature, I am looking forward to exploring the diverse landscapes of Australia and experiencing the unique farming practices in different regions. My adaptability, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn make me a great fit for the collaborative and supportive spirit of WWOOF. I am genuinely excited about the prospect of connecting with like-minded individuals, sharing knowledge, and making a meaningful impact on the farms I have the privilege to work on through WWOOF. Let's embark on this sustainable journey together!

We run cattle, sheep, chickens, guinea fowl and keep bees. Volunteering on our family farm includes picking, planting, weeding, animal husbandry and seasonal vineyard work.  Great team experience plus some solo tasks. Love to work with animals and with the land. Naturally good with machinery, I have worked in a steel yard, I’ve run a chicken farm in NSW as well for 8 months. I love living on the land. I’m looking for some quiet time and just good old hard work on the land. I know this company to be good as I have had a membership in the past, long time ago. As I am 29 now- I first used this site when I was 21.

I think wwoofing is a great way to meet people and try new jobs you might not have a chance at doing. I see it as everyone is helping each other out and I really love that concept. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories so wwoofing really appeals to me.

We want to gain experience and learn skills related to farming and growing food. The goal is to eventually live off the land ourselves. We've been gradually learning about farming/gardening, and excited to grow through hands on experience. Also we look forward to the opportunity for meeting some awesome people!

I joined WWOOF so that I would be able to experience the local culture, not just travel through it. I am looking to meet a range of people through WWOOF and to see more of Australia than if I were to travel through it staying at hostels. I hope to learn more about sustainability on my trip and to hopefully learn some skills that I can take back to England

I already did WWOOFing in Southern Italy, where I worked on a vineyard. It was so nice to do some physical work, spend my day in nature and learn new crafts everyday. I also got to know amazing people and new perspectives on life. That's why I consider it to be my perfect way to travel around and really get to know a new country while also staying in touch with nature and making a small contribution to ecological agriculture, which is an important issue for me as well.

During my stay in France, I started having an interest in "organic food" and then "organic agriculture" and/or "permaculture". However, I could not take the time to learn about them till now, so I would love to learn about them through WWOOF. Besides that, I would like to study English not at language school but through the experience of living in Australia, learning Australian culture and communicating with people.

WWOOF Australia acknowledges the Traditional owners of the land on which we work. We honour the ongoing cultural & spiritual connections, heritage, customs & beliefs of Aboriginal people & pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
