Short Property Description
Near funky Fremantle, and the beach, Pinakarri is an intentional community of 20 friendly adults & 3 kids living in colourful passive-solar houses set in shared gardens surrounding a large common house. We eat together 2 nights a week, around the fire & sometimes play music or hang out together in our leafy gardens.
There are several musicians in Pinakarri as well as a piano and guitar for you to play. Walking distance to South beach, close to shops and bus to Freo, bikes are provided too. Pinkarri supports & applies sustainable principles such as extensive grey-water & rainwater systems, including irrigation to the communal and productive gardens, vegetable patch & fruit trees.
Work for 2 hours a day: gardening, composting, weeding, cleaning common rooms, or helping prepare a shared meal. You’ll stay in the lovely common-house where there is a guest room, dining room, bathroom, internet, b.b.q and a kitchen where you can prepare most of your own meals.
You are staying in the community house, and all community members have their own individual houses. This means that although we do love to hang out together and we are a friendly mob, most of us work outside the community, and have busy lives.
Staying at Pinakarri you might be & work quite a lot of time by yourself, so you do have to be a self-starter and a person that is o.k living & working alone. Pinakarri welcomes adults, couples, 2 friends, 1 child OK . We prefer hosting people long term so we can get to know you and you us! But let’s try one week first..
