Short Property Description

We are a small off grid permaculture farmlet located in the upper Yarra valley. We are a communal household consisting of two families, 3 adults and 5 children, living together all interested in a sustainable permaculture lifestyle. We have a large vegetable garden where we grow lots of our food keep a flock of poultry for eggs and meat, we also keep bees for honey, We also run a small fermenting business from our home and are happy, easy going people that are always innovating and creating.

Full Property Description

We are farming with a permaculture method on an acre that backs onto beautiful state forest. We live in an off grid mud brick house, the accommodation offered to woofers is a cosy private little caravan. We would like woofers to help with gardening, general yard maintenance, earth building projects, preserving, fermenting and foraging food. We are happy to share our knowledge of local bush foods, foraging, farming and fermenting.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We have become a WWOOF host because want to share our lifestyle and skills with people who are willing to learn. We are also homeschooling our children and really value the life experiences that WWoofers bring with them to our farm.
